@@AA-vf9jb Yeah. Honestly I think it would be naive to expect to cut 100 second load into 10 seconds for multiple reasons. One of them simply being that these games were designed to have load times, often displaying crucial or at least interesting information that you need time to read.
Yeah that's the one thing I really have to hand to MS. Even though their library of games doesn't really interest me, their approach to legacy support is absolutely incredible.
@@KravenVanDrakken I think Microsoft's selling point is more-so Game Pass Ultimate so it's important they have good quality backwards compatibility since it's meant to be a cross-generational service. If they want Game Pass to be a successful venture, they have to optimise the games for each device.
A new console is supposed to be about the future not the past, Sony and MS but actually give u the option to play on BC, it’s actually a waste of money to focus too much on BC, bc various studies show that people that have the opportunity to use BC (xbox users for now) don’t even use it, it’s rare to use, it’s not a feature that’s it’s worth time and money, I think that what Sony is doing is great, of course I would love to play gow 1 or 2 on my ps5 but I can just buy a ps2 in the internet for less than $100, u see it’s not a profitable or important feature, it’s cool to have but not important, of course I’m not saying that BC is useless or something like that and obviously MS actually does better in the BC thing, my point is that BC is not worth that much time and money, instead of focusing in the past MS should focus more in the present or the future, I don’t know if you understood my point, I hope so, but of course this is my opinion and is totally ok if u disagree with it
I love that everyone goes to digital foundry as peak analysis. I rember when they had less then 100k now everyone points to them for their quality and thoroughness.
Dude talking about TLOU2 looking "dated in 1440p" ... for real dude- this is one of the most beautiful games ive ever seen in my life. Its barely half a year old. Talk about fucken sourgrapes. And as others have mentioned... loading times being cut by around 1 minute is not "marginal" mate 🙄
Yeah I was gonna say, the cold boot is literally TWICE as fast, and the game hasn't even been patched for PS5 yet. I can only imagine how well it'll run once it's been optimized, and I'd love to see it in 60fps
It seems like you guys were trying to hype it down, you said the loading times weren't impressive but most of the loading screens you showed were literally cut in half, that is a big difference. And people dont seem to realize that patches can still happen in the future to fix the "bootable" category.
At least they admited they did not know what they were talking about, go watch Digital Foundry analysis to get a true sense of how big the improvements are.
I think Days Gone was already patched, so I wouldn't expect significant improvements. Sony has simply not invested as much as MS in their BC solution/implementation since both companies have significantly different approaches/marketing to next gen launch.

If you’re buying the system for backwards compatibility alone then sure, it’s not a good deal, but having it as well as beautiful looking new games is what it’s about.
@@Jabberwokee perhaps in a year or 2s time this will be a valid point. But there are no release games that justify £450 or even close. Seeing as every title is available on the ps4/pro for the foreseeable, the difference is not justifiable, its not the jump seen between ps3 and 4. But hey, you're money, of you've got it and you wanna buy it, it's all good. But personally, ill be waiting for something that makes it worth the money.
@@maugod6972 for backward compatibility yes, it is the only improvement in most cases. When you actually look at it, with the exception of perhaps days gone, which I've already finished platinum and don't 0lan on revisiting any time soon, its near impossible to tell the difference graphically between the 5 and the pro as they haven't done anything, other than make it compatible. There's a load of videos showing this. Obviously with new releases there is a difference, but its not a £450 difference, and all new releases are available on the 4 as well. Until they start making games just for the 5, for me, paying £450 for a graphical improvement and improved loading isn't worth it, and thats without even thinking about the memory cost at the moment. The improvements aren't the jump that they have been in the past between generations, especially not between the PS pro and the 1X and the 2 ndw consoles. Each to their own of course.
Oh, for me, Robinson The Journey not working is saddening, as I’ve been returning to wander around that beautiful VR world of dinosaurs and robots on many an occasions, shame.
TBH, I really like DF, but after their 3080 video that gave the impression that it would perform 70%+ better in games than the 2080TI, only to find out that the real increase was 25-30%, I have begun to take their stuff with a grain of salt. Their video today implies that every game with unlocked frame rate or variable resolution will automatically max out, but I’m not sure that I fully buy it. They could easily have been doing the video with a pre-determined list of games from Sony, just like they did for Nvidia. They have shown that they are willing to do so.
Good video. One thing I don't get though: was anyone expecting the developers of PS4 games to have gone in and patched them to improve them for PS5? I would only have expected load time and frame rate improvements - stuff that the PS5 can do without going into the games themselves. Shame about the missing/ broken titles though
Idk if they reviewed the games before the updates or the updates will go live on lunch day. Because a lot of games have gotten an upgrade on the PS4 so maybe there waiting until lunch day to make it available.
I think they're trying to point out that the load times may not be as instantaneous for PS4 games that people may be expecting, so just to curb expectations a bit.
@@toomanylies7716 nah Sony stated that games will load much quicker on next gen but they need optimization. Xbox 1 X loaded games fairly quickly compared to PS4 Pro giving it the advantage by making the Xbox series X load things faster then the PS5. PS5 is using PS4 pro speed and just boosting it by a small margin.
I definitely expected some kind of upgrades to PS4 exclusives at least. Like, there really is no reason I can think of for Naughty Dog not releasing a patch for PS5 for TLOU2 to play 4k60. The game came out this year!
Its not a good video. They mostly test games that already run great locked at 30 on the PS4. Go watch Digital Foundry analysis of BC to get a feel of how big the improvement is.
I see quiet a lot of comments saying that the ssd speed is disappointing, I have to remind you that these games were designed around mecanical hard drives. DF posted a video about that and they stated just a few improvements. Check out digital foundry's video about ssd speed in ps5 games to see the difference
I think it's unreasonable to expect developers to have already patched/optimized their old titles for PS5 before launch. These things take effort and there isn't much of a financial incentive to do so.
That’s fine with me, as long as it’s not worse, I am fine with it being the same or even just slightly faster..I just want to be able to play them on ps5 🤷🏾♂️
I've only ever known the PS4 Slim so upgrading to the PS5 and play games in any resolution higher than 1080p is going to be a huge improvement for me, I have a PC that can play games in 1800p 60fps so finally not having to go from that resolution to then boot up a 1080p PS4 is going to be a breath of fresh air. I'm excited to replay games I've already enjoyed with now enhanced graphics and resolution, so being able to replay games in my library with the 'Pro Enhancement' through the PS5(or maybe higher frames too) is a bonus in my opinion.

Theres propably gonna be a real remaster bundled with the multiplayer thats why i think they didnt patch it. Naughty Dog is the biggest PS studio so I guess its intentional theres no PS5 patch.
Doubt it sales tanked a week after launch and fans slated it for being woke and doing Joel dirty so if I were them I'd not waste the money and resources on a remaster or even a patch.
Great coverage, thank you. I am planning on upgrading from a base PS4 TO 5 in the near future but holding out for more titles and console tweaks. I am surprised that the PS4 Titles didn’t perform as the original hype made them out to be especially when hardly anything is ready at launch.
Damn. Was hoping to go back and platinum TLOU2 and UC4. 30fps gives me motion sickness after mainly playing pc for the last 7 years. Hopefully we get a patch soon.
Thanks for the video, especially for the AC: Syndicate test! Having never upgraded to the Pro, and having the ability to 'hopefully' play all my PS4 games on the PS5, I'm looking forward to eventually getting the console. Also, I personally don't understand some things, in particular if playing on a 1080 tv will eliminate the blur he was talking about for God of War, for instance.
There is no extra game blur. He was playing with 1080p resolution on a 4K monitor, after playing 4K content on it. Of course it's going to look soft by comparison; but that's not the game's fault, or the PS5's.
Which is a bit of a ripoff considering that all they have to do is patch the already existing game (for those who bought it on ps4) so it can be optimized. The only reason why the first the last of us had a remastered version was because the ps4 wasn't backwards compatible at all.
@@aaronm4841 Just because it got a lot of sales doesn't mean people will buy it again. And those nominations from the same people all giving it 10/10s. Lol just look at the metacritic user reviews.

I have a PS4 Slim, so these upgrades sound fantastic to me. This is just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw updates to many of these games in the coming year, especially for 1st party titles like TLoU 2. I'm not concerned.
Currently playing Ghost of Tsushima at 60fps in 4K and it looks phenomenal. Was waiting on playing it until I got a PS5 and it's been well worth the wait. Surprised it wasn't mentioned in this video.
games like God Of War and Days Gone did NOT get PS5 patches in the sense that they were updated to get better visuals and performance. these are the same exact settings the PS4 Pro uses. but since these games had a performance mode which had unlocked framerates. it means we are getting the max performance out of those modes on PS5. the same things happen in games that werent patched for PS5. Crysis Remastered has an unlocked framerate. and the game is a smooth 60 on PS5. and a shotty 30fps on PS4 Pro.
With TLOU2 all my artefacts vanished as soon as I loaded my save on PS5. Not sure if others are experiencing this, but definitely rough as I’m 21H in to a grounded play through.
What they have done for GoT and Days Gone is awesome. 60fps is quite important for me, so I am really excited. There was no 60 FPS mode in these games on PS4Pro. Also we get stable 60fps on Monster Hunter World and FF15.
Oh no you mean I can’t go and play assassins creed from 2015 on my brand new next generation machine I’ve just paid £450 for?! Who cares... I mean really?! I’m upgrading to next generation, you guessed it to play next generation titles 🤷🏻♂️ unbelievable I know. Also most load times you shown were cut by 50%... That’s not bad at all considering these games aren’t optimised for the machines they are running on
Yes but I am sure there are considerable amount of fans who want to run away from the present and go back to fast. And yes, you might be denouncing or insulting them because they do not have same opinions like yours. But as my religion, you are not perfect too.
Thanks for this. Been trying to sort out which of the ps plus collection to install on which machine. And nice to see LoU2 get some love. It was unbelievable how good it looked even on ps4 pro
This and Digital Foundry’s video answer all my questions as far as backwards compatibility is concerned. I have a ps4 slim and a Xbox one X. I use the Sony machine for exclusives and the Microsoft one for multiplatform titles. Looks like I can upgrade to the ps5 and not worry about not being able to play the 1st party titles that I haven’t finished yet and keep the One X for a bit longer for any 3rd party titles since it looks like all those will run fine on the series X.
Yes, if you're going to get both, that's the right approach. Unfortunately, most people will have to choose one or the other, and it's a shame Sony couldn't match Microsoft in back-compat thoroughness, especially considering that they're both going from Jaguar to its AMD successor.
I don’t know. I’ve played Sekiro, Ghost of Tsushima, Shadow of the Colossus, and Ace Combat 7 on PS5. I previously had a PS4 Pro so I wasn’t expecting a huge jump. To my surprise, Sekiro and GOT run great. Sekiro I was especially impressed with the resolution and frame rate. Shadow of the Colossus looks great too. The only one that looks the same surprisingly was Ace Combat. So far I think the backwards compatibility has been done very well but there are many more games to test.
Im sorry guys have to downvote you. Its good that you admit it, but its clear you have no idea what you are talking about. You mostly tested games that are locked at 30fps, ofcourse you see no difference. Then you call Bloodborne smooth 30 when we all know that the frame pacing issues have not been fixed, it requires a patch for that. 13:33 EVERY game takes advantage of the aditional horse power, you just tested the ones that already run great on PS4 with locked framerate, go watch the Digital Foundry analysis to see how big the improvement is for unlocked framerates games like Sekiro, DS3, Hitman 2, Knack, Killzone, etc. Or even in CPU bound games like Just Cause 3 that run at like 15 fps in base PS4, its now locked 30 thanks to the Zen 2 CPU in PS5. 14:25 You will see huge improvement in all PS4 Pro patched games with performance modes that did not lock to 60, like GoW or Infamous or Sekiro or DS3, etc. Im sorry but this video is borderline misinformation.
Because they only tested 30 fps locked games lol. Of course they did not see much difference, expect for GoW and Days Gone. Digital Foundry know what they are doing hence tested games that could show the huge boost in performance, testing games with unlocked framerates.
The tone is different but I don’t get why. Do people expect every game to be patched...that’s not going to happen. Some games may have an easier patch than others and some may not, with teams working on next gen games already. The backwards compatibility is working exactly the same ways series x. Games with fixed frame rates now run at those fix frame rates consistently, and games with uncapped frame rates or dynamic resolution boost to 60fps/4k. Patches to unlock both frame rate and resolution are just a bonus on games like Ghost of Tshushima and Days Gone. I’m sure if it was easy to do naughty dog or Santa Monica would do it. But Sony was not even emphasizing backwards compatibility while it was a main selling point for MS. This is a huge win for Sony. Also load times cut in half without any optimization is pretty great to. We’ve already seen load times (Spider-Man MM, DMC5 SE) on future ps5 titles so no worries there at all about the speed of the ssd. Note on series s, you have the worst backwards compatibility because essential you’re getting just 900p with a consistent 30fps because you’re not getting the one x enhanced modes on series s.
These seem like some pretty nice improvements. Like seriously those load times are significantly better. And it doesn't even matter to me all that much really since I'm fine with it being the same as all I want is to play PS4 games on PS5 lol.
I'm so glad The Last of Us 2 got a 60fps patch, the animations during gameplay make it feel incredibly smooth,. I wish they'd add upscaled 4k resolution though. I'm also glad that Santa Monica updated God of War as well
This all depends on your perspective. I never had the chance to own or even touch a PlayStation 4. So, knowing that I’ll have the ability to play the majority of PlayStation 4 games for the first time on PlayStation 5 is all I ever hoped for. Is there more left to be desired? Of course there is, but you have to keep in mind that the console hasn’t even launched yet and everything is subject to change. I expect a patch for most of these titles overtime if not on day one. Especially the PS4 exclusive titles.
I think the thing I'd worry about the most is having the PS5 ruining one of PS4 discs or the PS5 dying. I read someone supposedly just turned on their PS5 and it came on, then turned off and died. I asked for this for Christmas, offering for me to pay half of it. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it but honestly with all these problems coming up I'm worried about getting one.
I thought this review was helpful but calling 1080p blurry when comparing it to higher resolutions is just silly to me lol. I’m probably in the minority
The Last of Us Part 2 is one of several high profile games about which Sony has been notably quiet. In Digital Foundry's backwards compatibility video, they hinted that there were certain games they left out because they're not allowed to talk about them yet. This implies that there are games that are getting something more than the base back compat. I expect TLOU2, Uncharted 4, and Horizon Zero Dawn to be among these.
I wonder how many people would buy, or play TLOU2 anymore in PS5, but as an outsider, I found that USA is a country with so wide diversity that some people can claim wearing mask can cause health issues, or kill people, or even send people to hell, or keep yelling that they have breathing problem. Still got group of TLOU2 lovers in USA.
Whomever is reading this remember to spread as much LOVE AS POSSIBLE, don't litter, help out the homeless and take care of nature please it's really important we gotta take care of eachother and mother earth. thank you and have a blessed life ❤
Yes the option to play games seamlessly through your new platform , all of your old loves is super. I think backwards compatibility is a smart idea for the next gen.
Any resolution higher than or at 1080p and 1440p resolution are considered sharp and clean on 4k display. Below 1080p are not acceptable on 4k display. I play some ps4 games with 4k monitor on base ps4 model. Games like modern warfare 2 remastered, uncharted nathan drake collection, uncharted 4, god of war 3 remasterrd that run at full 1080P look good on 4k monitor. 900p games are unacceptable on 4k display. So I am ok with ps4 pro enchanced games on ps5. Will look good on my 4k monitor. But full 4k is the best!!!!
PS5 backwards compatibility is disappointing. It’s not better than using a PS4 with some games looking worse on PS5. Tried playing Gran Turismo Sport and the screen kept freezing. I haven’t had any of these issues on Xbox Series X. Everything looks way better. Even Xbox 360 games look great. PS4 games that have the PS5 upgrade are fine but unoptimized PS4 games seem better on the original hardware.
Sony should upgrade backwards comparability throughout the ps5’s life cycle. Just because it can only play most ps4 games now doesn’t mean that’s the only thing it should play. Xbox in 2015 I believe, 2 years after Xbox one came out they released backwards compatibility. Sony over the next few years should start trying to add ps1, ps2, and ps3 titles. Imagine playing games like burnout 3 or nfs underground 2 on a ps5, would definitely be something really special
I have a question that the community MAY be able to answer... So, this week I have Assassins Creed Valhalla (PS5) being delivered. Now don't ask why I have this version coming as opposed to the PS4 version but it is something along the lines of, I wanted my new library of games to all look to form as it were. But... Had I had the PS4 version then we all know that I could play this as the PS5 version next week when the new console comes out, but my question is this... When my shiny new AC Valhalla (PS5) game arrives on Thursday, will it play and run as the PS4 version if I were to put the disc in to my PS4?
You forgot one thing in the end. If you go from xbox1 to ps5, the games like Last of us 2, God of War, HZD, Spiderman, GoT and many more, run significantly better. On xbox 1 loading times are error and fps is 0 on these titles.
Please check 3rd party games like far cry 3 or 4 and 6, watch dogs 1 or 3, assassins creed 3 or 4 Any of the above 3rd party games works on PS5 or not if yes how it works in fps and if there is any graphics issue or not.
@@L4veyan Absolute lie, maybe on a cheap TV I have been playing PS4 (not pro) on a Sony xh90 and the image is great, 1080p image output from the console. I think the TV is doing some upscaling itself but it is very not blurry, much better image than my previous 1080p TV.
@@ianchinsor9248 1080p native will always look better than 1080p on a 4k tv, that's how modern displays work. No upscaling can do miracles like that. I mean I don't have any kind of inside source at the company to confirm this is being worked on, but if TLOUII is anything like the first installment then it will get a full on remaster for the PS5 probably around 2022.
Days Gone is seriously underrated. The negative reviews I see from gaming websites are “straight white male protagonist, therefore nothing new here.” So I skipped it for a while like an idiot, when I should have seen the user reviews. One of my favorite games ever.
I personally only care about my first party titles which I have confidence will and are playing greatly improved on PS5. The multi platform games I just play on my PC
Hey there! Will I be able to play The Last of Us Remastered on the PlayStation 5? I’m very curious as it is the first game I want to get when I obtain my PS5.
It's amazing how unimpressive load times are in PS4 games on PS5 when you consider the PS5 can load SM Miles an open world game in less than 2 seconds. I hope they intended to update this and improve it. I used an SSD with the PS4 Pro and so the improvement in loading will be even smaller for me.
That’s because the PS5’s SSD solution requires optimization to take advantage of its speed. It achieves the speed by having more “lanes” than a normal SSD. This means that any game that’s programmed to use the normal amount of lanes won’t see an improvement over a standard SSD. Hence, only PlayStation first party games will have the insanely fast loading times like Miles Morales does.
And add to this, that certain games like CONTROL unfortunately looks very blurry compared to playing the same game on the PS4 PRO and XBOX ONE X. Even with film grain disabled.. Metro Exodus on the PS5 also looks more blurry than on PS4 PRO and especialy when running on XBOX ONE X. I was hoping that the games would at least look on par to the last-gen machines........🤷♂️ Beautiful games like these deserve it!! Well, there's always Demon's Soul to help make me feel good about my new PS5... So for now, keeping my PRO and XBOX ONE X is really the way to go when playing some last-gen games. Was hoping for more to be honest🤔 But certainly it's time to replay Days Gone in 60fps and upgraded visuals 🙏
Naughty Dog wants to pull another "remastered" release. Idk if that will go over well this time. Ps3 to Ps4 was slightly more acceptable since backwards compatibility didn't work at all. But considering how many studios out there are giving free next gen updates for games like Days Gone, Doom Eternal, hell even Witcher and Cyberpunk, Naughty will look pretty sketchy if they go for selling a separate ps5 verion of LoU2.
They really need to add an in-game 'PS5' option, which takes advantage of the full console. I've never played a PS exclusive and was hoping to get the next gen experience when playing them all, but obviously I'm disappointed.
What I’m wondering is if my buddy who has a PS5 and I a PS4-would we still be able to coop? He never played bloodborne and now wants us to do the play through together
How about cut scene loading in Days Gone? You know how when it triggers a cutscene on PS4, it pauses for a couple of seconds while it transitions? Has that couple of seconds transition been improved or possibly eliminated with the PS5 update?
I have stopped playing some of the latest games because my PS4 Pro started to sound like a jet engine, even after cleaning it. Can you confirm that for example TLOU 2 is quiet on PS5? Ghosts of Tsushima is extrem on my PS4 Pro too, because the noise is changing constantly.
It makes reasonable sense that the studios have other priorities, such as making actual ps5 games. I still feel the bwC was oversold pre-launch and agree that loading times aren’t that improved. We also have to consider the fact that seamless loading like in gow and ff7r simply won’t be effected. Best case scenario we get faster booting sequences and restarts on the HIGHLY unlikely event we would die in any of these games 🙄 As of right now all I hope for is faster boss-runs in Borderlands 3 w the constant restarts, as well as revisiting games like Witcher 3 and Detroit BH.
I still find myself playing absolute bangers to this day. Control came out in 2019 and it easily made it to my top 3. I do agree that a huge amount of games there are absolutely not worth $90 canadian dollars though.
Reading through comeents, I see a lot of people want "everything right f***ing now!" in terms of patches to games. Chill, the console hasn't been released yet...

@@AA-vf9jb Yeah. Honestly I think it would be naive to expect to cut 100 second load into 10 seconds for multiple reasons. One of them simply being that these games were designed to have load times, often displaying crucial or at least interesting information that you need time to read.

When your selling point is BC, you have to make sure it works better than anything else in the market.
@@KravenVanDrakken I think Microsoft's selling point is more-so Game Pass Ultimate so it's important they have good quality backwards compatibility since it's meant to be a cross-generational service. They have damn near the same games.

No they did not watch thier video first.
DF didnt say that at all.
@ oh! DF definitely conveyed the idea that it runs much better than what this video makes it seem.
Who is DF
has anyone noticed that noone is testing Horizon Zero dawn in their back compat vids?
Yeah, I wanna know how well it runs too. (or how bad - I hope not)
It's already locked on 30fps on pro .. So will be no different.. unless the game developer unlocks the frame rate
it has 30 fps cap, so there will be no difference, unless it will be patched at some point.
Most likely because it's on PC so everyone is used to seeing high frame rates
neither Red Dead 2
I definitely expected some kind of upgrades to PS4 exclusives at least. Like, there really is no reason I can think of for Naughty Dog not releasing a patch for PS5 for TLOU2 to play 4k60. The game came out this year!

I think it's unreasonable to expect developers to have already patched/optimized their old titles for PS5 before launch. These things take effort and there isn't much of a financial incentive to do so.
I just hope games are now made to work with future console generations and are made to have unlocked frame rate modes.
They could charge a few dollars for it. Most of us would pay for it.
You're right. But glitches are a system-level failure. Backward compatibility is a system-level feature. If Microsoft nailed it, Sony could have too.

I've only ever known the PS4 Slim so upgrading to the PS5 and play games in any resolution higher than 1080p is going to be a huge improvement for me, I have a PC that can play games in 1800p 60fps so finally not having to go from that resolution to then boot up a 1080p PS4 is going to be a breath of fresh air.

amazing video you guys!
Different tone to the DF overview. Can't wait to get my hands on it 👍
Because they only tested 30 fps locked games lol. Of course they did not see much difference, expect for GoW and Days Gone. Digital Foundry know what they are doing hence tested games that could show the huge boost in performance, testing games with unlocked framerates.
Digital Foundry almost said the exact opposite of you guys 😆
Does the ps5 triggers support adaptive feedback on the ps4 games?
I thought this review was helpful but calling 1080p blurry when comparing it to higher resolutions is just silly to me lol. I’m probably in the minority
On PC you don't need a patch. You can run anything at any resolution or framerate you want.

The Last of Us Part 2 is one of several high profile games about which Sony has been notably quiet. In Digital Foundry's backwards compatibility video, they hinted that there were certain games they left out because they're not allowed to talk about them yet.
Faster load times are a big selling point AC Valhalla on the standard PS4 has has brutal load times.
Not patching first party games to unlock 60 FPS just to sell a remaster would be a gigantic slap in my face. I’m looking at you TLOU2.
Was hoping for more at launch tbh, ps4 generation was so good and i want to replay some of those games in upgraded graphics/fps.
I really like the way you used the scientific method for testing the FPS eyeball testing 😁 like a true gamer! Stay safe everyone 😊✌🏼
I was impressed by the improvement of Day Gone on PS5. I really enjoy the game. Now even better at 60ps. 😀
You forgot one thing in the end. If you go from xbox1 to ps5, the games like Last of us 2, God of War, HZD, Spiderman, GoT and many more, run significantly better. On xbox 1 loading times are error and fps is 0 on these titles.
Please check 3rd party games like far cry 3 or 4 and 6, watch dogs 1 or 3, assassins creed 3 or 4
Any of the above 3rd party games works on PS5 or not if yes how it works in fps and if there is any graphics issue or not.
Be real, 1080p resolution is not ‘blurry’. You need a better tv if it is
If it's not native resolution, then it's really blurry. 1080p gaming on a 4k screen is awful for example.
@@L4veyan Absolute lie, maybe on a cheap TV
I have been playing PS4 (not pro) on a Sony xh90 and the image is great, 1080p image output from the console. I think the TV is doing some upscaling itself but it is very not blurry, much better image than my previous 1080p TV.
@@ianchinsor9248 1080p native will always look better than 1080p on a 4k tv, that's how modern displays work. No upscaling can do miracles like that. I have a 65 inch LG C8 tv so definitely not cheap. Anything below 4k starts to look blurry. But let's say 1800p is still acceptable, or even 1440p in some less detailed games.
5:49 if that takes an eternity he clearly never experienced dial up Internet 😂😂
I personally only care about my first party titles which I have confidence will and are playing greatly improved on PS5. The multi platform games I just play on my PC
Hey there! Will I be able to play The Last of Us Remastered on the PlayStation 5? I’m very curious as it is the first game I want to get when I obtain my PS5.
Pretty sure you will, seeing as it is one of the PS5 PS Collection games
Yes-
It's amazing how unimpressive load times are in PS4 games on PS5 when you consider the PS5 can load SM Miles an open world game in less than 2 seconds. I hope they intended to update this and improve it. I used an SSD with the PS4 Pro and so the improvement in loading will be even smaller for me.
What did you expect from last gen games? They aren't made with the ps5 ssd in thought
1080 shouldnt look blurry unless you're playing on a higher resolution monitor. If you use the right monitor, it would look crisp.
0:50 this is the official "We are not digital foundry disclaimer"
Was hoping for more to be honest🤔
But certainly it's time to replay Days Gone in 60fps and upgraded visuals 🙏
I'm going to finish late gen PS4 games on PS5 as I never upgraded to Pro. We'll see how that turns out.
What about red dead redemption 2?
Naughty Dog wants to pull another "remastered" release. Idk if that will go over well this time. Ps3 to Ps4 was slightly more acceptable since backwards compatibility didn't work at all. But considering how many studios out there are giving free next gen updates for games like Days Gone, Doom Eternal, hell even Witcher and Cyberpunk, Naughty will look pretty sketchy if they go for selling a separate ps5 verion of LoU2.
Will u do the review again when some of the games get patches to work better on ps5?
What is the song you use in the background in the very beginning of this video, I want it!
70$ a game now....im glad I didn't have to grow up in the video game era. Games are not even that good anymore. Toxic industry.
I still find myself playing absolute bangers to this day. Control came out in 2019 and it easily made it to my top 3. I do agree that a huge amount of games there are absolutely not worth $90 canadian dollars though.
@@danielegvi ya control was good. I only have 10 games for my ps4 and 7 are just HD remakes from the ps3 of that said anything lol
Reading through comeents, I see a lot of people want "everything right f***ing now!" in terms of patches to games. Chill, the console hasn't been released yet...
Can you test DayZ,game has unlocked frame rates and dint perform well on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Maybe Next Gen Consoles might have the power to match the PC counterpart
11:20 yo, it is playable at 4k 60fps with vanilla (1.0) just install it from your retail physical disc and do not update the game.
