    The F60/N60 came out into 1998. It was a entry level 35mm AF SLR, as Nikon F50 successor. It's a no frills, no nonsense 35mm AF SLR. It does have only 1 AF Point, but a bright all glass pentaprism. Less features then the 2000 released F65 successor, which features 5 AF Points (from the F75, F80) and also a DoF preview button, but the OVF here is only a smaller, dim-lit pentamirror. Another drawback from the F65 - its being more plasticky, and when you switch it off, still the LCD display shows the frame counter, so it consumes (albeit little) battery power. The F60 into contrast to the F65 is heavier, more sturdy build quality, and does have a bigger handgrip, then the F65 successor. But the F65 supports also VR lenses. Into the end, it depends. But the F60 is literally the cheapest Nikon AF SLR nowadays, one could buy 2nd hand. I own both, and other Nikon F 35mm AF SLRs. (F75, F80, F90x & F100) For instance, put on the Nikkor 28-70/3.5-4.5D, and you've got a very cheap, capable combo for great pictures...if you can't make a good composition with that, you simply can't with every other gear, for real. No, you don't need a F100, or F6 to take quality pictures. It all depends on your skill level as photographer, your own imagination, the used film and of course lens hereby.

    Как интерестно слушать рассказы от старых фотолюбителей😊. Тоже приобрел себе сей дивный аппарат. Буду пробовать снимать.

    Watched this video just because I won a action for a F60 (which I mostly bought because of the lens) and you just helped me remember when I visited Corfe Castle :D It was really nice to visit in the summer. (I'm Swedish but visited Dorchester for a luthier apprenticheship in 2014 and went to see Corfe Castle then! Remember having a pint or two in that pub)

    Many thanks for the review. This era was great for good cameras. Ok they were plastic but shot really well. I am a canon guy and enjoy the Canon A2 and 10s both EF lens mounts myself.

    I used one many years ago (I still have one ) for slides and every exposure was spot on, very reliable.

    One of these was my first proper camera. I remember my uncle gave it to me when the newspaper he worked for went digital back in 2003 (I believe). A very nice camera, sadly they have an issue with the rewind- system and I had to change mine some years ago for a F80.

    How can I change the shutter speed?

    • @beforedigital
      @beforedigital  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turn the left selector to S for shutter speed and on the right you can then with the knurled wheel change the speeds. Thanks for watching.
