  • I love my 7th Gen Accord. At its core, it’s a family sedan, so it’s easy to drive, spacious, comfortable, and pretty fuel efficient. Mine being the rare 6-Speed manual, V6 sedan, makes me love it even more. Unfortunately, there are a few details that went unnoticed in the process of me buying mine from a different state.
    Thanks for watching!

I had the 2006 Accord V6 Sedan (Automatic)
Bought in 08 w/13k miles from orig owner. Winters in MN to California Summers. It saw everything.
Drove it to 176k. *Never Changed Any Belts or Water Pump*
Issues: Power Steering Pump went out. The Auto Transmission faded away to almost nothing.
And I dented the Front real bad, so i donated the car to Charity in 2020.

@@monkeywkeys3916 Wow, that’s really interesting about the belts/water pump. I drove my 2014 to 118k before doing the timing belt and water pump and felt guilty for waiting that long lol.

The vtec sticker, shift knob, and spoiler tells you everything about how the car was treated by the previous owner.

@@sacredgarden1683 Shift knob and spoiler are both stock, VTEC sticker is admittedly questionable lol.

check how rusty it is, don't give up on it right away but look at sand blasting the frame, then rust paint it afterwards (more than 1 coat)

Honda had both V6 engine issues & issues with their 6-MT during that time period. My last Honda was a new 2000 EX Sedan 5-MT that I kept for almost 200K miles & 15 years without any major/unexpected problems. It even still had the original factory clutch working fine at 200K when I sold it. It was the only vehicle in over 40+ years of owning/driving vehicles that I have kept for longer than 4-5 years.

@@dystopia-usa Wow, that’s awesome. Not surprising though. My 1998 Accord was a trooper.

For the age of the car, this is not too bad. The rust is not bad for where it has lived and with some care will be easily dealt with especially catching it now. The brake calipers as well should not be difficult to change over. yes some cost but not a scary cost at all for such a nice car....
