@@motozest7856 it normally lose power especially when it travels long distance because the transmission fluid become very hot and lose viscosity this makes the transmission pump to make a whinning noise and the car goes to limp mode, limiting its speed to 60 or 80 km per hour and transmission doesnt last long, but nowdays there is a remedy you can put aftermarket extenal transmission cooler inline with the stock cooler of four ports then it works very well.
X-Trail use to be good looking rugged suv during my elementary years. Easy to differentiate. Now this current gen, to me it just looks like almost the same like any other crossover we literally see on the road. Even has some Hyundai look at the front.
Nissan has lost the plot when you go back and look at the reliability and towing ability of the older T31 . The newer ones are just tarted up with electronic gadgets but have lost real capability . The 2.5 engine was a big improvement and then they detuned it because the CVT can't take the full power and also lowered the towing capacity instead of strengthening the rear chassis . Making the 2.5 engine pointless . Nissan has now destroyed the X-Trail as a good semi off-roader . It's now just a fancy shopping cart for towners . I'm so disappointed .
Regardless of whatever new innovation and new design of its body but i still like Xtrail T31 version and shall remain my favourite of all times. Nothing and absolutely nothing can persuade me to buy these new models.
We have a 2017 model, received it two weeks ago. We upgraded from a Maxima and got a tow bat put on for a Thule bike rack. Now we have alerts come up due to the bike being in the way of the sensors. And the engine icon stays on. Waiting to hear back from the car yard as what needs to be done. Not happy. Understand that this is a common problem after visiting a few sites on line. If we can't use a bike rack, takes away the reason why we bought it.

Nissan has completely lost it's mind on what most X-Trails are used for . The new auto braking system is incredibly dangerous when towing a van or trailer if it hits the brakes just because a dog runs across the road and you end up rolling the whole rig . I am a big Nissan X-trail fan but will not be buying the latest model . It is no longer an off-roader with ridiculous low profile tires that are useless off road and it's bloody ugly to boot . Nissan has lost the plot . I will be going Ford Ranger .

@YB L I didn't even know the new X Trail had a third row seat. I heard somewhere that Nissan isnt adding a third row so this is quite confusing.

All new or not I wouldn't bother. We just had to replace the gearbox in ours after 105000 klm. No really good enough.
