    It doesn't have a cvt gearbox, the wheels are driven by the electric motors just like a plug in ev the engine only works as a generator to power the battery and invector. It has variable compression and I think this is confusing people!

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they call it an e-CVT gearbox? Which is what I mentioned.

      @@AutoSocialUK Not on the e 4orce, it may be on the normal ice powered x trail, electric motors, which is what drives the e 4orce, directly drive the wheels so no gearbox needed. You couldn't feel it shifting gears because it doesn't, it's an ev with its own generator, a 1.5 3 pot turbocharged ice that either charges the battery or sends power to the invector to power the motors that power the wheels.

      Hi Tish interesting video, don’t rate that small 1.5cc 3 cylinder engine in a car like this, then there is Jatco transmission parts, not the greatest, horrible to repair. If you want a car like this for a longer period of time, probably best avoided. A Toyota product would be a better option, good video as always ❤

    The word “ complicated” hits a note of concern given a previous x- trail reliability in pre 22 models- I have driven this car and wow I was really impressed with the spec of the tekna model e force configuration and would have bought it - one or two niggles- the Uk version The tow bar cost is extortion and just manual hand attached - the cost £1400 plus fitting - Mercedes Benz is electric, factory fit costs £675. A 3 year warranty with a complicated and unproven longevity review- maybe next time perhaps but right now - simple is better an engine that drives the wheels- every mechanic can fix that in 5 years time

    Nice video my friend! I hope you'll get to review some cars that are not available in the UK in the future, especially the ones sold in other European countries that we don’t get here.
    The new X-Trail (codename T33) has been on sale as the Rogue in the USA / Canada since the 2021 model year. However, it's important to note that the e-Power / e-4ORCE powertrain is not available in the USA or Canada.
    Interestingly, the e-Power X-Trail is available in Mexico, but 4WD is not available in the hybrid version of the X-Trail there, and it makes less power (187hp in Mexico).

    E Power models do NOT have a gearbox! The gearbox is replaced with an electric motor, that starts the engine and then becomes the generator. There is no gearbox!

    @afcgeo882 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tish… the point of CVTs and eCVTs is that they have no gears to change. Any time I see one with fake shift points it infuriates me as it makes the engine less efficient all for the sake of loss of smoothness. It’s akin to paying for Business class, but demanding economy class food.

  • @dospalmascb
    @dospalmascb 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    sorry BUT It doesn't have gears! Just stick your foot to the floor and you will soon realise it doesn't have gears. just think about flicking your washing machine going from 0 to 1600 spin, no gears, just an electric motor going from 0 to full power in a couple of seconds. I have the Qashqai Epower (although it is only 2WD), blistering acceleration and great fuel economy. Currently our epower is in for a control module replacement and we have a petrol equivalent on loan. Epower does 45-60 mpg and the petrol barely manages 38mpg at best. Obviously we do the same routes and trips in the loan car as we would on our dailys in the epower. Another point to mention is that the build quality is so much better in the Epower models than the IC engined versions. simply because the engine noise is virtually non existent so the normally acceptable squeeks and rattles that would be masked by the engine noise are manufactured out as the cabin in the Epower is so quiet.

    • @AquaMarine1000
      @AquaMarine1000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @akashdeepsingghh Don't make a mistake. Since the GFC Nissan has been going backwards. Cost cutting in their engineering department has severely damaged Nissan. Many of their products have been brought to market with inherent problems, for example, CVT failures. The Xtrail is one of them. Nissan has factories all over the world with varying quality control. In Australia, Nissan was regarded as a top Japanese car maker equal to Toyota. Now, Nissan has slipped behind most all popular car brands in Oz. When buying into a brand, you are entering in warranty, service, and parts. A car brand with known problems with low sales numbers has high depreciation in the used market. The four trusted car brands in Australia, Toyota, Mazda, Kia and Hyundai. It can take some effort. Do your research and talk to independent mechanics and repairers. Don't talk to people with a vented interest like owner and dealers. Cheers

      @kahuna1247 I totally agree. The days of durable and reliable cars have past. Modern manufacturing is about cost-cutting. The move from traditional materials to plastics for critical engine components is one major downfall that has taken the brands we once loved into unreliable money pits. Cheers
