Thank you to those that pointed out a mistake where 0.1% is 1 in 1000 and not 1 in 100, a sloppy mistake for which we are sorry. In addition, 50million deaths was not a third of the world's population at the time as the population in 1918 was about 1.5 billion so it is about 3%.

0.1% as a fraction ain’t 1/100 it’s 1/1000. Seasonal flu doesn’t kill 1 in 100. Other than that and the other errors it wasn’t bad
