    I'm getting ready to install the 4 link kit soon. I'll be installing the control arm mounts and then frame stiffeners. I'm still waiting on my new axles. I'm really excited for this kit it seems to be the best or one of the best kits available. There's not many 4 link kits available and I really like the control arm mounts. I'm also running your transmission crossmember and mount I've had that for a while I like it a lot too.

    If you have frame stiffeners can you weld the brackets to them and not use the bolts through the floor?

      Yes you can. We still recommend using all the bolts, especially on the inside of the frame, but we cut slots in the bracket specifically for welding them on.

    What is the castor angle stock and what should you be looking for with say a 4"-5" lift? Any concerns with pinion angle?

    Will you be doing a video on your raised track bar set up?

    I'm interested in this 4 link kit.
    What lift heights will this kit accommodate?
    Do you HAVE to cut off the upper control arm bracket off the axle tube? Mine is already reinforced.

      @stinkyfabracing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We recommend at least 4" of lift. You can go lower, but you'll sacrifice compression travel to do so.
      The kit is designed specifically to work with the stock bracketry, so no you don't have to remove or replace anything on the axle. We make heavy duty replacement brackets, so we went ahead and replaced them, but they are direct replacements for the stock brackets and are optional.

      @@stinkyfabracing Could it go up to 6"

      @stinkyfabracing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dailydr1ver935 yes. 4" is the minimum, plenty have done much more.

    Do you have to cut out the upper control arm brackets on the xj as well or just for the mj?

    • @stinkyfabracing
      @stinkyfabracing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In that respect the 2 are identical, so yes they need to be cut out. The only difference between them are the additional gussets and brackets shown in the video. Essentially the underside of the MJ from the doors forward is an XJ with extra parts tacked on.

    Good video, you mentioned caster at the end? What is nominal for 6.5 inches of lift?

    • @stinkyfabracing
      @stinkyfabracing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It somewhat depends on tire size, so your alignment shop is the best one to ask, but generally you'll end up at 6-8 degrees

    No High Steer ?

    • @stinkyfabracing
      @stinkyfabracing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why? At only 4"of lift there's really not much need or benefit to high steer. This is our shop truck that spends most of its time hauling parts around town. It drives beautifully and serves very well as a testbed for new products.
