forget the haters - youtube needs more people making a fun video.
Apparently your poor education never taught you what the word “hate” actually means. 😀
@@ivanboesky1520 please educate me! I desperately desire to end my stupidity and become a person of substance such as yourself. Let’s start with an analysis of what the term “colloquial” means in the context of the term “haters” :D
Great video! Just more confirmation that pretty much all of these new bikes are great now
Except for the propel🤔
More confirmation they are all essentially the same. Wildly overpriced cheap Far East sweatshop fabricated stock cookie cutter framesets. 😀
Great review as always! This was just what I as looking for, as I'm looking at buying the Melee, but was concerned it might not be "as good" as just getting the Tarmac Sl8. Glad to see the tests were so close! look forward to the full review in the future. Keep up the great work!
Review a SystemSix Hi Mod vs a Madone
USE both MEASUREMENTS please!! Love you guys 🫰
Great video guys! Love comparison in this one and the last one, you guys almost sold me the Madone lol. Ended up with a SL8 anyway. I guess Trey you are too strong(300w) that the Tarmac wouldn’t make a difference on these not so steep climbs…but hey still pretty informative and entertaining vids kudos to you guys!
Love high end road bikes and tech. The haters can go kick rocks.
Go learn what the word “hate” actually means dummy. It does not mean what you think it does. LOL 😀
Review Colnago v4rs ❤
LOL love the roasting at the beginning
Don’t suppose you can throw a S5 into this mix?
Love your vids. Thanks!🎉
Cannondale system six vs scott foil ?!?
I got the tarmac sl8 on release day. Honestly the only thing going for the bike is the low weight. The bike is not very aero. Once it gets above 25mph, it doesn't easily stay there. Also i find it hard to get over 30mph. Granted I'm short and a girl, but on my Pinarello Paris its not a problem. Currently im considering selling the tarmac, and buying a F5
Love this honest opinion although you own a sworks tarmac. I own a Madone SLR Gen 6 and it holds speed like nothing IV ridden before. I can't understand how these new bikes with the thin profile tubes can be more aero! These manufacturers are saying things that we actually don't experience in the real world
Are both of your bikes on the same wheelsests and tyres setup?
@@cyclingchef3531 the tarmac has farsports hypers 50mm w/ Corsa next 30 and my Pinarello Paris has Ican aero 40mm w/ Corsa next 26. The Pinarello is almost 3 pounds heavier than the tarmac
@@kimwarner6050 Swap the wheelsets and check how the bikes works if nothing change sell the s-works then :D
@@cyclingchef3531 tarmac is still slow. I got the Pinarello F5 and swapped groupsets and wheels. Also some additional changes to make the F5 lighter. The tarmac now has 40mm carbon wheels. Both bikes are now basically the same weight and both still have two piece handlebars. The F5 is 6.9kg with pedals and the tarmac is maybe .3 grams lighter. First ride on the F5 I hit 30 mph. Also the F5 just holds speeds better and is more manageable. 25/26 mph on tarmac I need about 220/230 watts. F5 160/170 watts. I'll do some more tests. I've had the F5 for little over 3 weeks now. Needless to say the tarmac hasn't been ridden. In no way I'm I saying the tarmac is a bad bike. It just doesn't suit my flatland Florida terrain.
2:20 the Madone is the best bike ever🎉
I loved my Madone
Beast of a machine! I have the SLR 7 GEN6
i got the slr7 gen7. The comparison video they did versus the tarmac sealed it for me when he said how comfortable the madone was because I tend to ride 40 to 60 miles at a time.
Please do a test on the latest LOOK 795 blade RS vs SL8 please.
S(wagtron)-WORKS
Maxxis high roads have the puncture resistance of a childs balloon 🎈
Seems like a good match for a wildly overpriced and cheaply fabricated Far East sweatshop cookie cutter bike. 😀
I have the Sl8 since release (s works) and i came from a dogma. I have to say the weight and ridefeel are significantly different and in clear favour of the tarmac. On pure flat nice tarmac bunch rides, the dogma has an advantage but everywhere else i would pick the tarmac over and over again. It is just the better bike.
Which Dogma?
@@tommyfreckmann6857 Dogma F in crystal white with dura ace.
For me it’s funny to hear.
You are weighting things in money 😂
BTW great video, thank you for your effort 👍
Price is more important than weight😂
All these bikes are wildly overpriced. Cheap Far East mainland China sweatshop made cookie cutter framesets being sold for thousands of US dollars as if they were some artisan made custom frameset. LOL
Review the Allied Alpha
It’s a really good bike. I have it and the SL8. Will be making more content with it as soon as it decides to stop raining here in Indiana haha
Great vid
I wish I had a tarmac!!!!
You all forgot to seed the clouds for a consistent barometric pressure and wind speed for all runs. Classic millenials!
Get a Madone
I love road bikes!
what size is the sl8?
58
Review the new LOOK 795 Blade RS
for clipping in it's like peanutbutter and jelly poptarts. . . aww jammit.
I want a frame shipped to my house
You guys do you. Everyone always finds something to complain about on these videos. If you had close up shots of the course someone would argue about the lines you took between each bike. If they care so much let them test it on their own
Cool review
First. I’ve been waiting for this.
There's a new Enve road bike coming out
there is a 4th model coming out?
Yes, another wildly overpriced Far East sweatshop fabbed cookie cutter bike called the Fray. LOL
@@ivanboesky1520sounds like Pinnarello
Sooo buy the madone, sl8, or melee?
What ever one you think looks cooler lol. We haven’t posted about it but I just bought another SL8 for myself. - jesse
Madone for all out speed and comfort. Melee for a little less speed but a little more comfort. Sl8 for a snappy feel and light weight
@@bicyclestation I had a gen 6 slr but iso failed so gen 7 is on the way. Thinking to get a new 105di2 or rival crit bike around 4k or less. I have wheels. SL7, Foil, Emonda, what's the rec?. I don't want to race a 5 figure bike in crits lol. I hope to make it down to your crit this summer!
I don't think an aero bike but an all-around bike. The one reliable reviewer which has a wind tunnel proclaimed the sl8 as the best. I don't have the privilege to try every bike before i ride but look at reviews so I'd go with the sl8 considering I've ridden it and love it.
@@ragethomas the sl7 would be a great option!
Maybe I missed it, does the Bicycle Station no longer sell Trek? If so that stinks lol
We sell Trek in Columbus. They won’t let us sell their products in 2/3 of our locations so we decided to just be multi brand. Specialized ends up being our biggest brand by default since we can sell them in every store. We sell over ten different bike brands now, ultimately it’s better for the customers this way to be honest.
test the dogma f
S-works is slower than my specialized expert tho tho tho!
SL8 vs Melee its like SL8 vs SL7.
Why do you guys weigh bikes in lbs? That makes no sense.
😂😂😂 There you have that one person who complained about it.
S-Works bike cost vs Melee please?
The same.
Same, both laughably overpriced for cheap mainland China sweatshop fabbed stock cookie cutter framesets. 😀
@@ivanboesky1520what would you consider to be a good bike then?
Rokin Eliel....!
gran bici
I don't know why but I like Specialized company.
They make cool stuff!
...and expensive
They market well and always have, in my opinion their products are hyped up. TREK most definitely have the best R&D in the game
@@paulseandaniels5031 Yap
@@paulseandaniels5031 and a lot of proprietary stuff which is a major downside tbh
Nobody complains about lbs because the rest of the world can do math 😂 change to metric and….
your voice is soooo boring... but love to your videos
OOoOooOO noOOoOoO!
Clout given.
These tests are totally useless, all depends on rider, not a bike.
It was the same rider tho. The only variable was the bike
Tour magazine was lying when they chose tarmac as the best all-around bike. It can be the best in every category but good in most.
I disagree. I think it’s great in most categories
And why would anyone, but a pure gullible poser spend thousands of dollars on a cheaply fabricated mainland China sweatshop stock cookie cutter frameset made with poor fab tolerances, and poor QC that cost no more than a couple hundred bucks to cheaply fab over there? Amazing how gullible and easily marketed to so many fools are. Pay (bribe) a pro rider on TV to ride a cheaply made steaming pile of shat and loads of goofball posers will race out to drop big coin on it. Silly folks. LOL
