  • Hi Everyone,
I finally take you through the collection of Atelier Jupe Patterns that I have been making recently.
    I take you through:
The Frieda blouse, I made a size 12 for all of these patterns, one size down from my body measurements.
The fabric for this blouse came from Itokri fabrics about 4 years ago.
The Charlotte Lou dress is also in an itokri fabric, the ribbon came from a local haberdashery.
The Olivia dress made in a fabric from Rainbow Fabrics, with poppers on the pop over button placket.
The Tilda dress made in a viscose from fabric godmother.
I absolutely love all of these patterns and will definitely be making additional versions of all of these.
I hope you enjoy seeing my thoughts on the patterns.
As always I'd love to hear from you, don't forget to subscribe xx

All beautiful makes. A suggestion on slippery fabrics. I pin my fabric to tissue paper first. The type used in gift wrapping. Then pin my pattern on and cut out. I leave it pinned to tissue till I’m going to sew it. Everyone has an idea don’t they! Thanks for sharing!

I’m a little late in watching your video (just found you through Andrea’s Beyond the Pink Door channel). I love all of your makes but especially the last 2 dresses. Your fabric choices are spot on and really suit you. I know what you mean about not wearing some of your makes. I used to buy really busy/loud fabrics that looked pretty until I was wearing them. Then I felt like a goldfish in a bowl. Everybody look at me! It put me off wearing them. But I have to say that you look lovely in your makes. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. 😊

I love all these! You are such an enabler for me! Lol. The last 2 are my favorites. Both the fabrics are so nice and you look lovely in them.
I’ve seen sewers use those snaps, I’m intrigued. I’ve gone on Amazon and looked at them online but haven’t pushed the buy button quite yet.
I haven’t yet purchased Atelier Jupe yet, I’ve spent some time looking at their patterns and fabrics. I think Andrea from Pink Door is where I first saw them, but I think you’ve convinced me I do need to try them.
I love your summer house! Yes, husbands can be pesky at times, I know mine can be. But he tries his best to take care of us, bless his heart.
This video was great. You’ve been very busy and your makes all came up great.
    Take care!

Thanks Aime, you've got to love a pescy husband! Especially one doing housework 🤣I've had my snaps for years, tbh I haven't used them until recently, and I'm loving how quickly they come together. Definitely shows how far I've come as I couldn't work it out years ago. Let me know if you buy any of the patterns I've really enjoyed using the Atelier Jupe Patterns

I could see you making the Olivia out of a voile or gauze for a cover-up for after a dip in the hot tub! You could easily put a belt on in any of the colours from our Olivia to make it work ready! I love this one and the Tilda on you!! Both look so relaxed yet easily dressed up if you need them to be!

Oh Cara, I love them all and all the fabrics are beautiful too. Your Tilda turned out perfectly and the shorter sleeves were definitely the right choice. I have just made the Lynn Caftan and recommend this one too. It has the same channel at the waistline as your red dress. I also have the Olivia pattern in my stash and definitely need to make that one now too 😊💕🧵🪡

I’ve been looking forward to your review, thank you it was great. You’ve sold me on the Tilda dress as I love the Frida but was disappointed the blouse didn’t open up like the line drawings. I think I’m going to iron my back too. I did try making the placket curved but it still didn’t open up much. Lovely makes as always👗🧵🪡

Hi Cara, loving all your makes!!!
I have just finished my toile of the Frida - you were right I absolutely I love it. I just need to do a narrow shoulder adjustment before I cut out my special fabric - just need to a bit of research as to how to do it on a garment with a yolk🤔

Hello Cara these are wonderful. I love the last one best and I have the pattern. May I ask if you did French seams on the raglan ones? I see that these patterns recommend it but I wondered about overlocking? Your Summerhouse is also fab!

Also what make didn’t go to plan ? Take care ad stay safe

      @sosewmad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks Linda, great questions! I tried to make a red satin jumpsuit early this year that I decided to step away from as I knew it just wasn't right. My favourite make is tricky, probably my rye jackets or one of my sagebrush tops, or the items I wore in France. I love sewing and I'm lucky that I genuinely love almost everything I make. what have been your favourite makes this year?
