Just cut out my second one! Love it. I put pockets in - I don’t use them either but just feel better having them. Your instructions in this sewalong are invaluable. I also sized down by one size.

Thanks Andrea. I have wanted to make a kaftan for a while and looked at the Charlie Kaftan but was never sure about it. When I saw you in yours I thought that's just the thing. I went to buy it but you have sold out. I couldn't wait so I have found it elsewhere. I need to make it before the summer goes 😩.
Go for it Jayne , it’s a great pattern . I think our summer has gone already 🇮🇪 but I enjoyed it while it lasted & got great wear out of lynns on the very hot days ☀️

Hi Andrea, I am really looking forward to making this pattern as I have it cut out but once I saw the placket I knew it was something I would need to concentrate on! I wanted to take it on holiday but realised it wasn’t happening as that was the next day😂 currently in Corfu with coolish weather so really didn’t need it but I will make it when I get home. Thank you for all your help as it’s very much appreciated xx

I had my husquvarna set up to do buttonholes on a previous make do I just thought I’d use it for a change .
Great timing andrea. I'm just about to make the caftan after practising the placket a couple of times on scraps and have found it a real head scratcher so this is very helpful. I dont find atelier jupe instructions very easy to follow- I think something gets lost in translation. Also the paper patterns are a little confusing with all the layering so it's not easy to trace accurately. Shame really as I love the styles but your sewalongs are incredibly helpful thankyou 🙂
Do you have the patterns printed in just the sizes you need? That’s what I do , I just print 36&38 , I wouldn’t be able to decipher between all the lines at all! I’d be cross eyed 😂
Thank you so much for this Andrea. You made putting in the placket look so simple and you would not believe what a right dogs dinner i made of my first attempt. I can now finally make my top for this summer. You were using your husqvarna!! Is your pfaff ok? Love that fabric, it has slight Japanese vibes. Xxx
My first Lyn had a fudged together placket 😂. The pfaff is ok. Just used the husquvarna to do buttonholes on the Olivia blouse sewalong (coming soon) & thought I may as well use it as it was set up .. great to have choices!! 😊

Hi Andrea, as always a great sewalong!!!! Random question, I was wondering if there was a specific reason why you didn’t sew it on your Pfaff Select? I am in the middle of researching the Select as I am looking at upgrading - is there anything I need to consider? ❤️
I had my husquvarna out to do buttonholes on my last make and so used it out of handiness!! It does super buttonholes , the pfaff is a faff 😊to do buttonholes with!

Hi Andrea, thank you for the sew along. I might now look at making this. I do have a question regarding Atelier June patterns. I purchased the Zoey Blouse from you last year and you kindly printed just my size and one either side in case of adjustments. I haven’t yet made it as I got confused by the pattern 🙄
There are solid lines outside my size lines….so where the dotted lines for my size are is Nnot the cutting line, but is the sewing line?
Is that correct? And the solid lines are to cut with seam allowance included?
I assume the Lynn would be the same too ? so I’d love to clarify as I quite wanted to do a blouse for the April Blouse 23 challenge.
Hi Alison , just to be sure I’ve opened the A0 file for Zoey . Yes the solid line is the cutting line & the broken line indicates the seam allowance .

I’m a fairly new sewer and I’m used to cutting out along the dotted lines for my size. Something to watch out for on Atelier June patterns. They have so many lovely patterns but I was a bit nervous about buying any more due to my confusion. I couldn’t see anywhere on the instructions where this was explained.
Also, just want to say that I’m now subscribed to the sewscription boxes and I’ve really loved both the ones I’ve received so far. Xx

Superb sewalong! You explain all the details in such a way that it's easy to understand. Your caftan turned out just beautiful, it's a gorgeous fabric.
