Okay, I am literally done with the people I like to call "comment trainers." They are the arrogant people who think they are the next Mary King or Pippa Funnell. Like, seriously get a grip! "Omg is that seriously how high you jump? Me and my horse can jump so much higher" or "why are you doing a dressage test in a martingale and body protector?" Please just get a life and ride your obviously perfect riding school ponies and stop hating on someone else's life. You don't know her horse and his ability. The thing with comments like these is that you're hating on other people and judging them for their "perfect riding school ponies". You are no better than they are. If no one else is able to judge a horse/riders ability through a *video*, how arrogant do you have to be to say that you can judge *by a comment*? Your ego is huge. It is a shame.

For all those people that are saying "why are you wearing a vest in dressage?" Well as Tal said It was Super's first show. And it was Tal's first show. If Super was to do a massive spook Alicia might have fallen off, Super would have trampled her and could have broken ribs, her chest,etc. And for the martingale! I Use martingales to stop my saddle from slipping back. So Stop being internet trainers. Seriously if you where couches, trainers you would understand why Tal has this stuff, gosh. Tal has a trainer/couch so she doesn't need your advice. Not being rude at al, I'm just sick of all this till this day

Well done for getting third on your first show! I do jumping and have done about three shows now, and i nearly always get disqualified at show grounds (have only ever not been disqualified in one class), so i know how you feel. I get very nervous as well, and the horse can definitely sense it! Good luck for future shows x

i admire you so much for working so hard at riding and getting yourself to where you are already with your horses if you keep up the hard work and take every chance you can + continue to learn, you will do awesome in the future!

watch you for a long time and can't believe how much you have improved , don't know if your trainer has said anything about this but in the warm up after you jumped you turned right every time , this could result in your horse becoming dominant on one rein and also unresponsive , your should change the direction of your landing after jump each time , to keep him listening to you , you did great for your first show !! xx
Good job! You helped your horse build his confidence. That will strengthen your relationship with him. From there, you're golden. :) It's hard to take a horse to a show. Keep up the great work.
I’ve been training my tb and I’m really nervous for our first sj show , this gave me a lot of confidence knowing that if he refuses which he does a lot that I will be ok , you did great and have came on so much since this 👏🏻❤️

How do you get the things at the start of the video?
He has such a nice elastic trot! Did you have a crop with you one the showjumping? I always carry one with me because my horse tries to back of quite a few jumps and I just tap her with the crop to encourage he forward. Well done one your first show!
just curious, why were you not in show clothes and had him all plaited up?? what show was it?

Well done Talicia!!! I live in Australia too and know heaps of great comps that i think would be suitable for you and super. Depending on what state you live in you should try interschools, your school doesn't need an equestrian team for you too participate and they would be an awesome series for you and super compete in! Good luck at your next comp!!

You did really well for your first show! I just took my thoroughbred to his first show. Usually the first show is just for your horse's exposure to the show environment :) he probably won't be so worked up next time!

I've been riding for a looong time and I personally love jumping low jumps, 2 ft or so, because I get the joy of jumping without the fear (I'm a big chicken) of jumps 3 ft or higher ^^' do what makes you happy!

He looked great especially for his first show! I love your videos too! I think to give him some extra motivation you should carry a whip, some people disagree with whips and I do too if anyone beats a horse with them however if he sees a whip and feels a light flick it may make him faster and more ready and motivated for the jump.
And also because it's was your first show he may have been testing the boundaries and because you don't carry a whip he may have become 'dead to your leg.'😁
was this his first time jumping at a show? cuz if so then he might hv been scared of the colours of the jumps xx I'm not an expert its just something i was told long time ago xx

My first show I did a walk trot class because I just started riding.6 months later I did another show and did two foot two three hunter jumpers and jumpers

well done! try giving him more impulsion - he will then go over the fences a lot better and braver for you and will have less of a chance of nocking the rails - maybe try carrying a crop aswell (don't have to use)

Well done on your first show I'm 11 and I have 12.2 pony we jump 80-90cm in shows my pony goes crazy when he runs out of hay as well
If you tilt your pelvis forwards it will stop you having an arched back and help improve your overall position and help if you want to do higher level dressage in the future with your horses. I think you did well for your first show.

What why would you want to tilt your pelvis back that would make her position worse?
Could you do a shop preparation video if where you show what tack you bring and grooming and washing etc please, btw love your vids

When did u start riding?
I had my first show today and my stirrups were too short and I could feel it but someone rode right before I did and I didn't have time to change it. I looked kinda silly when I was posting because of it, but I still placed fourth out of 8, which is better than I expected.
To clear things up, it was a schooling show and someone rode the same horse in a walk-trot right before I went.

mm i get that horses are scared for the first show etc he looked pretty good anyways. maybe try taking him to more places he hasnt been before instead of just home like get a float and do a trial ride or go to pony club with him or something different them home thats what ive been taught. and I havent ever had negative results from that so maybe give it a try and he can experience new places ♥ but you did really good your fans are proud of you I can see.
