- Hey Horse Lovers! Check out our FIRST HORSE SHOW OF THE YEAR experience! I brought 3 horses, 5 students, and a friend to this show. This is many of my students first show and is also Bagheera's first show as well. Watch to see how everyone does in their classes, and listen for tips, tricks, and advice when it comes to showing. I love the way you teach the girls there are so many ways to ride a horse and that horses have so many more lives than cats. Every time you ride it's an experience. For all involved. Take the opportunity to learn as much as you can when you ride. That's the fun part.
@@freespiritequestrian This was the way my 4-H group was handled. We learned enough of of each style of riding and enough of how to run a barn to know what we wanted to do when we got older. We had a list of barn chores and instructions for who to ride and what style and what to work on. It wasn't always a formal lesson but someone was supervising and giving advice. It was a great chance to learn and grow. I feel lucky to have had that experience.

Hey I’m from UK I have 5 horses 😊. Like you I just live helping and rehabilitation with horses I’ve saved a few of mine from the slaughter. I think it’s wonderful what you are doing for the horses and all your young riders. It’s a huge confidence boost for the young up and coming riders. They all looked like they having so much fun. And yes we all have to eat dirt sometimes with horses and in life I feel that young people can learn so much from horses. I only wished I had the strength to sell like you to put money into other project horses. Some of my horses are really old now so and have had many awesome years with them and still continue to do so. I have a 14.2 hh Palomino mare 12 years old that I’m working with at the moment. Super excited to see where we go. I’m a new sub and really enjoying your fun, kind energy. Keep up the good work 😍. Leanne xx
That’s amazing you help horses as well, thank you for doing that. We need more people like that. Yes, it was an amazing day for them. I agree, it teaches them horsemanship along with life skills. It’s hard to sell for sure, but it’s just part of the process. I wouldn’t be doing what I do if I didn’t sell, and other horses wouldn’t get a chance. Thanks for watching! ❤️

Stable friends have a 33yr old Arab pony mare that is like Bagheera. Absolutely nothing rattles her cage. Recently had a fine bill of health from the Vet. Loved seeing everyone working together and not fighting. Great job girls.
That’s so amazing. Yeah, I would never, ever tolerate that behavior. Attitude=you won’t be riding with me or at shows. I’m all about fairness, team work, and kindness! ❤️

What a positive experience! Great video. I grew up riding and showing P.O.A’s all over the midwest in the 70’s. I am so excited for their summer and your channel. I am sixty this year and I bought a mule and a paint to spend my retirement years trail riding and to my surprise my muscle memory is still there when I rode as a youth. Its a beautiful life! What an enjoyable video! Everyone was happy and having a good time. My favorites are you getting excited about the students and how well the horses did. Bagheera was so beautiful and graceful and almost 26 almost a year ago. I really do love her! She did work hard for all those years and now has a home to have fun and play too. Oh what a really beautiful fun day for the amazing students and brilliant Horses. Really reminded me of the old school Pony novels we used to read at that age, by Ruby Ferguson and Monica Edward's . These students are just amazing, and really learning horsemanship the right way that will give them decades of fun and learning how to do it the safest way that you can . I just love that you teach them not to let lead ropes drag , oh boy have I seen some bad accidents doing that . I love the way Bagheera is so interested in everything she sees . These Horses are just having such fun happy lives where life is always so different and fun packed with love.

I hope the girl on Mikko (idk if i spelled that right) is ok! let her know she did awesome. I do IEA and this is why our trainer has us pretend to fit two or more imaginary horses in between us and the person in front of us
She’s okay! She wasn’t as close as it seems. She was passing appropriately and the other horse moved far to the left. No one is at fault here. :).

You've done amazing with them. Are you going to bring your other 7 horses? This is fun to watch! I've never been able to get the "bounce" in the seat when they trot? Could you show some of that? Yes, Bageera!
Thank you! Not all of the horses are show ready or going to be show horses, so not all of them will come. The bounce as in posting? I have a really good video on that! 🖤

Random here. Have you ever had paso finos? They are my favorite horses. They might get too cold in your neck of the woods. Love your horse show! Great student riders. I always had trouble riding English due to knee injury but still love western riding whenever I get a chance. I’m old now so have to be careful. Thanks for your wonderful videos.
Hi! No, I enjoy gaited but it’s not my all time favorite. Arlo (my spotted saddle) is the only gaited horse I’ve ever owned, and I probably wouldn’t go gaited again. I’ve ridden a few gaited breeds and it’s fun! I did ride a Paso stallion one time, he was amazing!!!! ❤️

Everybody did great. I enjoyed watching all the girls and you compete. I'm so proud of Bagherra. I swear she doesn't look over 10 years old. Did you get any feedback from the judges on her? Did they have any idea how old she is?

With all of the different stuff we do I don’t have time for 4H right now. We do endurance, trails, hunter paces, camping, hunter/jumper, and open shows. I can’t do it all but I know what you’re saying! Maybe in the future we will see!
