Nice video! I was just wondering but do you happen to know if they sell a metallic version of the plastic frame your removed from the keyboard at the beginning of the disassembly process? I have a similar keyboard (Sink87G) and am looking to make some modifications to it and it would be nice to have the plastic frame replaced with a better quality, metallic one.
I tried the tape mod on the stabilisers and when I lifted them up they popped off the wire. Can’t get them to snap back onto the wire and into the hole in the plate. Plate and switch are both soldered to the PCB… any ideas?
i still prefer the normal lubing, but spray lubing aren't bad either. you might wanna try them if you don't have time desoldering and resoldering back your switches. long story short, this is a faster way to lube your keyboard in with great results but on the other hand normal lubing takes more time with consistent result and better experience.
Hi. Can I ask if I can use thicker foam than 3mm? it's a bit hard to find it at my place, I only manage to find 1 cm thickness. Will there be a problem if I use 1cm?
@@NiftyKeyboards can it fit 6mm foam at the bottom part? edit - I stuffed my keyboard with 6mm just now and it sounds very silent compare to your typing test, and this is without lubing my switches, I guess 6mm dampens the acoustic a lot to almost silent.

Any issue say maybe after a couple of weeks lubing the switches? I saw some videos and articles that it somehow made the keys malfunction...

yeah actually i ran out of 3mm foam, if not i would make it 2 layer of 3mm. or maybe more in the upper part of the case

you cant spray lubed rubber switches like topres, noppoo and silent switch.
