Takes about 1 min at night and have got good results from it after only a couple months and it’s really not a hassle. Also it’s a lot cheaper
I live in a very hot/ humid climate and have found that especially on work days I need to apply twice. I use a microneedling pen once a week set at 1.5mm depth and around the time that I microneedle, I skip two sessions applying the minoxidil. Very similar to participants in one study that was performed. My results after about 5- 6 months are great. Lots of regrowth (especially on the side of my head where my hair parts. Made me wonder if receiving more natural vitamin D from sunlight, etc. improves regrowth of hair?) All in all I've seen a lot of good results and recommend minoxidil.

Any studies done using a hot pack for 5 minutes to get blood flowing before Minoxidil is applied.. I am trying this. . If it';s good to blood flow to Muscles why not the scalp ?
People who suffer hypotension needs to be careful with minoxidil. Because minoxidil is designed to lower blood pressure. I felt terrible of using minoxidil 5% twice a day in the past of 3 weeks of use. I noticed dark circle under my eyes, headache, dizziness and eventually chest pain due to that minoxidil works as a blood-thinning effect that reduces my blood pressure. So I grabbed a bloodpressure meter device and showed my blood pressure droped to 98 % which is dangerous. Minoxidil can kill you especially when you have condition hypotension (low-blood)which can affectthe heart. You should use 2% minoxidil once per day and see how that feels. Then you can increase to twice a day. But remember people with hypotension is due to pernicious anemia and this pernicious anemia is result of B6, B9 and B12 deficiencies. You need to fix that first before using minoxidil or during minoxidil use.
I started using oral minoxidil and topical minoxidil at the same time, but I eventually discontinued topical minoxidil because 1.) It's less powerful than OM 2.) It's probably not necessary to use two versions of the same drug, 3.) Topical minoxidil wrecks my hair and makes it look thin. If you have shaved or very short hair, it's easy to use topical minoxidil. If you have long hair, minoxidil makes it look thin and unwashed. And yes, I have tried the method of heating foam minoxidil to convert it to a liquid. It's still a mess, and it gets in my eyes sometimes. It's not worth the trouble if you can find a doctor to prescribe oral minoxidil.
I started dutasteride shortly before I added topical minoxidil and oral minoxidil to my regimen. Finasteride clearly wasn't enough to stop my hair loss, so really threw the sink at it in order to improve my diffuse thinning. Once I started getting good results, I discontinued topical minoxidil. Now I just use dutasteride, oral minoxidil and Nizoral. My OM dose is 2.5mg, so I don't think any amount of topical minoxidil would yield better results. It would be different if I were on a small dose, like .625mg, which was my starting dose.

What do you think of capilia Longa, I was at a well known large health food store and see that they have a product range containing this ingredient for hair loss.
Minoxidil is a circulation stimulant and needling is a growth factor stimulant. Both of these help prevent the hair follicles from atrophying. Anti androgens prevent the genetically programmed cascade that leads to male pattern baldness to begin with. Even people without MPB can have better, thicker hair with minoxidil and needles, so yeah, even when we have good anti androgens there will still be a use for other therapies.
I think I'm gonna try oral minoxidil. I've tried twice and once a day and honestly I've never seen it help. I think it may have helped me slow down my hairloss but I have no clue if that's true or not. It irritates my scalp as well.
I use topical minoxidil and finasteride each evening. Using it in the morning is difficult with my daily routine but I should try it as the effects are minimal. After a year of using it I have noticed new hairs but these have remained very fine. I initially started with minoxidil liquid, then nanoxidil and then minoxidil/finasteride mix. Perhaps switching the drug has caused the setbacks? Maybe I just do not react to it and the improved growth is due to micro-needling alone?

Honestly, twice a day is a huge hassle. I'll stick with once a day.
What if you get side effects such as heart pain from using twice a day as opposed to once a day?
Hey I know this is not relevant to the video… but I wanted to know what shampoo and conditioner you use
I use my Hairliciously brand shampoo and conditioner. www.hairliciously.com/products/hairliciously-dht-blocking-shampoo
i stoped taking finasteride i have very good result but me and my girl ar starting te have a baby i hope i dont lose to much ground should i take minoxidil?
They said a study conducted peppermint oil was just or if not more effective than minoxidil. I have been using for 2 weeks peppermint oil so far and no results?
you have to read the study to understand context - sometimes people deceive you by not clarifying the study. The study was done on shaved mouse. Not the same as a person suffering AA
What do you think of capilia Longa, I was at a well known large health food store and see that they have a product range containing this ingredient for hair loss.
I used minoxidil 5 percent and i am not able to sleep
The bigger question for me is, when we have something like cb 03 01 out in few years, would I still need to use minox and microneedling ?
Maybe I just do not react to it and the improved growth is due to micro-needling alone?
i post my protocol in the comments , look it and try it
any sides?
@Rajanish k stopped using it as no real effect. Just dermaroll and head massage now. I'll use rosemary serum for 30 mins then wash with rosemary shampoo. Too early to notice effects yet.
@@christopherslade663 oh i am using topical too , how do i get off do i suddenly stop or slowwly
@@godofwar-s5v Just stopped. I think topicals just make the process labourius and hard work.
i have use kirkland for several months now, and just realize they have a LCLT version, is it a better version of normal minoxidil?
I got on Minox and started getting heart palpitations so I got off after 2 weeks. I don't know if I should start again and see if they go but honestly its kinda scary. Maybe I'll go down to 2%
I have the same problem! 😔
@@Against-the-Matrix. did u use 5% or 2% when u noticed the heart palpitations
@@baldponder 5%
Don’t try again, talk to a doctor and see what they recommend
@@Against-the-Matrix. were you applying 2x a day?
Does oral minoxidil work better than applying it on the scalp in your opinion?
Yup as it gets metabolized by the liver
Yes, but consult your doctor.
@@scottcochrane W
Metabolism in liver does not warrant for effectiveness
do you think oral minoxidil could give good results? im allergic to topical minoxidil
How would you test to see if you even have the enzyme for minoxidil to work?
you dont have to test if you dermaroll
Hasn't worked for me 2 x day with finesteride
Are you supposed to wash your hair em after every use??!
I'm a poor responder to minoxidil. What do you think about microneedling everyday at 0.5mm and applying minoxidil immediately after? Would it be safer to just take oral minoxidil?
Hello - love your videos .
Can I please get your thoughts on the new booster product by Daniel Alain - that increase the SALT1A enzyme activity in the scalp . It is supposedly allows minoxidil to be more effective .
I am a non responder to the minoxidil and was hoping this might help .
I have been following applied biology who did the initial research led by Dr goren . Daniel Alain now owns stake in applied biology
Thanks nice video post Aaron 👍🏽
thanks ray!
No more than 1% people can keep using twice a day after 2 year
Hey man I have the leaked phase 2 pyrilutamide results. Should i email them to you so you can make a video?
I have a question does topical finastride works ?
"Minoxidil for Hairloss?" You probably wanna rephrase this, haha!
How long do you leave minoxidil to dry before going to bed
at least 4 hours
@@exactly1176 not sure what u mean. what I was saying is that you need to leave it on yourself for at least 4 hours
So does that mean I have to wash my hair twice a day in order to use minoxidil twice a day
I would use it with microneedling if I thought it could help a norwood 6
Doesn’t hurt to try! Lots of people have seen good results using the two
@@hairliciously
What are the chances of sides? I don't like anything that might mess with my heart rate
Indian doctor with the British accent?
What's that makes you bro?
oral minoxidil is a big no tho
All depends on your level of risk tolerance. 2.5mg is pretty well tolerated but it really depends how baldly you want to use it to fight hair loss.
@@hairliciously True/fair enough. For me it's too much
Under 10mg is safe with 5mg being the perfect dose. Theres studies on it but cant be arsed to get them atm.
Where can you get oral minoxidil?
I apply it twice every other day
How does result look like?
You’re probably better off once but every day
Do anyone else after taking finasteride have weird smelling pee or body odor? Sort of like a sweet or vanilla smell

With all due respect, I think the * SOLVED * in the title is a bit far fetched 🤣
scrath my last comment on ur newest video i didint watch this one yet!
Zero
Nah! Oral minoxidil all day, son
Has anyone has experiences with mixing finasteride and 5% minoxidil liquid I have just started doing that. Any info on that would be great thanks guys
The HIMS product is a mix. I have good results but I believe the finasteride is affecting my libido. I can still sexually perform, but my desire is way down. So, I'm now trying name brand Rogaine (5%) 1x per day. I used HIMS for 7mo and just dropped the finasteride.
bro wayyyy to much unnecessary info were on here to not get "doctor" info and talk slower and get to the point HOW MANY TIMES SHOULD U USE MINOXIDIL!???? LMFAO 😅 GEEZE MY GUY CMON ...
Liked 💯👍

@Hairliciously you can make a video on the leaked Kintor phase 2 powerpoint of pyrilutamide: hairlosstalk page 16 of kintor-has-started-phase-3-trial-in-china-for-pyrilutamide thread
Doctors recommended from the turkeys clinic after HP to use micro needling after 1 or 2 months post op HP. Supplying mesotherapy to me to apply after using the micro needling every 20 days for 6 months
What do you think?
