    i hit autoflex 505xx at the golf expo last weekend here in korea. i normally swing my driver about 113~114mph and i usually use various tour-ad shafts in 7x or 7tx. The feeling of the autoflex shaft in down swing is a bit similar to MJ's. it is soft and easy to feel the impact timing(it feels like there's more time than other shafts). The most curious thing is that how hard i swing my arm or how fast i turn my body, it gives same feel and it stands strong behind my arm(where at it should be). And it never makes a hook ball. NO anxiety at all when swinging full speed or full strength.

  • @harveyb4114
    @harveyb4114 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I played the sf405 for a while and saw lots of distance, but autoflex had too much dispersion. Then I tried the bgt brava and got almost the same distance with tighter dispersion. But in the pursuit of the perfect shaft, I stumbled on the vanquish and found the answers to my dream drives. For me, it is so straight and long. With my 90-95 mph swing, I chose the 4SR. I paired it with the rogue st max LS head and just love it. I'm looking forward to trying the paradym or tsr3 head with it, too. I'm 63 and play to a 12 handicap btw.

    I can offer some user feedback for the Free Flex.
    They sent me the 38 gram version to test out. My current gamer is the Speedzone with the stock regular shaft it came with. Never been fitted. I know (or thought I knew) that I wasn't swinging fast enough to get into a stiff flex shaft. The best I could carry with the current setup is 240 on the best day when everything aligns.
    I got a somewhat fitting done with the Free Flex while staying with the Speedzone. It was in that fitting I found I actually do fit into the stiff category (in the fitting we made some swing tweaks which increased speed and efficiency). That twinned with the Freeflex shaft being incredibly light and at 46 inches long, the club head speed had increased significantly to the point where I may have been better with the 45 series.
    All that being said however, if I swing for the fences and timing and everything is spot on, I can get 20 to 25 yards more carry with the 38 gram Free Flex. Having golfed for 2.5 years, some days I just can't get the driver to work and that's where I have found the Free Flex to shine. If I dial my swing down to 70 to 80%, although it looks slow, I've got myself a 230 to 240 yard carry fairway finder and that can't be understated how awesome that is. 100% you should get fitted for it and not buy it hoping it'll work, as I am still figuring it out, getting more consistency and seeing if I can get it to work at a 90 to 95% swing speed more often than not.
    However, if you have an injury that limits your movement and thus taken away the distance from your game, I would be interested to see how they would fair with the Free Flex.
    Don't TH-cam much but you can find some posts of me using the FreeFlex on my gram (@greenhorngolfers)

    Seeing those club head speeds approaching 127mph, I can't help but think TXG needs to tackle a test about the new proposed USGA ball proposal. I.e. test a range of balls from super soft to firm, at very high speed, to see what range might meet the new parameters. They basically want to achieve the same 317yd distance, but at 127mph instead of 120mph. So we need something that loses 5-7mph off the club face compared to the current tour balls. Everybody is losing their mind thinking this will be some massive change, but it is likely most ball MFGs already have balls in their current lineup that would fit within the new parameters. Some of the previous test of Pro V1 vs AVX, and even Drew Cooper hitting two models of Bridgestone balls trends this way.

    • @nathanfrey9858
      @nathanfrey9858 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How about the last swing that almost mirrored the USGA robot at 128/2200/10 launch. I think we might need a bit more of a decrease to bring the ball speed down about 10% or 18mph to only sniff 317!

    • @chrishartman5383
      @chrishartman5383 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nathanfrey9858 A few years ago they did a Wilson Duo Soft vs Pro V1 test. At Matt's swing speed off the driver (120mph range), the Duo Soft was something like 6-7mph slower off the face. It would be interesting to see that at the 127 speed outlined in the new proposal.
