Sol Micheladas is one the best of the big box Micheladas IMO. Drink them super cold and drink them quick! A warm Miche is no bueno. Cheers!🍺
This one wasnt bad! If it was a smaller can I probably would have drank it a bit faster so it stayed cold lol Thanks for watching!
Q and A. When will you do a catch, clean, and cook camp out? (Trout)
Added to the Q&A list! Thank you for the question and thanks for watching! Cheers!
Congrats on the 5k. Looking forward to a couple more zeros to be added to the 5k.
Thanks Jim! Appreciate it!!
Congratulations on hitting 5k subs!
The soft RUK is a cool idea!
As for the rear curtain. We have 2 bungee cords on our rear upper D-Rings (like you have) across the window. Then, simply drap a small fleece blanket over the bungee folded in half. When driving, I have another bungee attached to D-Ring top and bottom in the corner rear. Where normally I hang the paper towel on. I just tuck the fleece blanket behind it. Simple and practical. Plus an extra blanket if you need it.
61 degrees....LOL, maybe consider using an electric blanket. Sleep on top of it.
Great GFC gave you several choices. Always blown way with their customers service.

That is a great idea for an easy way to hang curtains! Thank you! And I know.. 61 degrees.. my past Alaskan self would be so disappointed lol! GFC's customer service has been great actually, responded relatively quickly and sent the repair kit out quick. Just got it installed a few days ago and the seam held up all weekend when we were camping so it looks promising!
Thanks for watching guys! Much appreciated
@@Kadenventures 🙂
Nice peaceful evening. So close to town, but seems a whole state away. Nice work.
Thank you! Great option for dispersed camping near Vegas to get out of the heat :) Thanks for watching Beth!
Great video on Lovell canyon ! Want to go up there sometime too. I live on the outskirts of Vegas towards Pahrump definitely interested in all the great camping spots around the area . Thanks for the videos!
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it. I’m thinking of doing an overnight trip around Pahrump this winter, check out the winery there and find some dispersed camping outside of town
Love 805 nice refreshing easy drinking beer 🍺
Agreed! Even better on draft 👌Thanks for watching Dane!
Hello neighbor! I live in Vegas as well! My husband and I have camped at Lovell Canyon and love it, but haven't been back! lol ... Thanks for all your videos!
Glad you guys found the channel and enjoy the videos! Lovell Canyon is one of our favorite dispersed camping areas close to town, thanks for watching!
Absolutely stunning scenery my friend, such a great upload!
Great area to camp! Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks for watching Ervin!
Love seeing all the camping gear, and recipes, and sites of all the places you visit.
Glad you enjoy the videos! Much Appreciated, Thanks for watching!
Love that GFC setup!!!
Its been a great setup, thanks for watching!
Found that funny. 61 degrees, you are cold. You told us you are from Alaska!👍
3 years in the desert has made me weak lol! Thanks for watching!
I came across your channel earlier this year and I have enjoyed your content. Keep up the good work and congrats on your 5k subscriber mark! 👍
Glad you found the channel and enjoy the content! Much Appreciated, thank you!
Another great video. I love seeing your down to earth camping videos. Reminds me I don’t need thousands of dollars in gear to enjoy myself.
That being said congrats on getting some test gear sent out to you. You deserve it man.
Thanks Pablo! Appreciate it! And agreed! you definitely dont need any high end gear just to get out into nature and have a good time. Thanks for watching man!
Congrats on the 5K! You have a natural ability to talk to the camera, so keep on keeping on. Good stuff! Now get an electric fridge.
Thanks Troy! Appreciate it! And I do have an Electric Fridge (Dometic CFX3 45L) I only take it out for multi day trips though lol for these single one day trips my little blue cooler is just easier to pack and throw into the truck lol
I'm liking the big wok looking cooking equipment you got! Definitely do a QandA
Yes! I always bust out the Tembo Tusk whenever i'm making fried rice or any asian dish, its great! Thanks for watching Andrew!
it was good seeing you at the gas station last month I was in the blue Tacoma we need hit the trail sometime ! love watching your content !
It was good seeing you too man! That first run I did with u guys at Christmas Tree pass was one of the first overlanding trips I did when we first moved down here lol Good times! i'm hoping to get a group trip put together in the future
I saved this spot in google maps in my "Kaden Spots" list from that video! My wife and I will be going here hopefully within the next couple of weeks before it gets too cold. Modelo's michelada is probably the best IMO, but a giant ass can of any michelada is a bit much. I've enjoyed watching the channel evolve. Congrats on 5K man!! Q&A question: What is your 9-5?
lol thats awesome! Definitely get out there before it gets too cold, i'm starting to plan out Lake Mead trips for winter lol i'll have to try the Modelo one (hopefully in a 12oz can lol). I've added that to the QA, thanks for watching man!
I think you should have added half cup water with the broth to boil the noodles. Then once it’s al dente then you could add the cream, butter, and cheese to mix sauce in. But I’ve done the same while camp cooking Alfredo.
I need to hit lovel canyon and do some Camp Pho.
Yea I definitely should have added more water to help the noodles cook a bit longer, the Tembo Tusk evaporated the liquid so fast lol Definitely will keep that in mind for next time! Camp Pho sounds amazing! Are you making your own broth and anything too??
@@Kadenventures I try to make the broth homemade. Then freeze it into cubes. So when I camp, I just have to heat up the broth.
@@gvegas that is a great idea! I've heard making pho broth takes a while lol
🤙
Thanks for watching!!
Good stuff. Congrats on 5K! I would like to know your thoughts on the Ignik and the Thermacell I think its called. A couple of things I'm considering buying over the Holidays.
Thanks Jay! I got those on my list, appreciate the feedback!! I'm also going to do a separate Ignik review, so stay tuned for that. Cheers man!
Thanks!!!
@@Kadenventures
There's cats up there they can smell your Grubb there watching you
I’m not surprised lol
Is it finally open now from the closures? Another cool video btw 😊
Lovell Canyon is open yes but unfortunately Mt Charleston is still closed. Thanks for watching Rob!
The Estrella Jalisco Mango Chelada is pretty good! We have been following you from the beginning!!! Our only question is, have you ever seen anything questionable in the woods or out in the desert? Like Bigfoot/skinwalker type things.
I'll give that Chelada a shot next time if I see it in stores!! Love me some mango flavored anything =p
And funny you ask that! my wife was just showing me videos of Skinwalkers in Virginia which I was actually thinking about when I was out on this trip which tripped me out a bit while I was out there by myself LOL! Thank you for the question Kasa! :) i'll add it to the QA list~!
You should try an black velvet after setting up camp. It depends how you pour it to. It’s liken to making a black and tan except it’s Guinness and champagne. The cheaper the champagne the better. Something like cook’s champagne and Guinness should work. Lately, I’ve been into porters. Coal Porter from Atlantic brewing is a staple. If you can find an imported Norwegian Pilsner they are outstanding.
Never heard of a black velvet but it sounds good! I love mixing beers like that especially with Lights and Darks, i'll give it a shot on the next video!! I'll keep an eye out on the Coal Porter from Atlantic Brewing, we have a few bodagas around town that may carry it. Thanks for the recommendations John!
@@Kadenventures I forget if its guiness first then champagne but if you pour slowly you should get a good mix. You should also prepare to get very talkative. With champagne one can get very spontaneous and feeling good. So, to have friends around or some festivities its a good drink for these type of scenarios.
@@JohnLaFosse lol! Good to know, I'll keep that in mind! Thanks John!
Thank God we have Lovell Canyon Rd! Everytime I check the Mt. Charleston camping website it says they are still closed to all camping. 😢
gonna be closed til 2025 or something like that...
Really?? I havent heard that. Hopefully not though! I've heard they have been working hard to get the mountain accessible again for the Snowboarding/Ski season this year!
Vegas is getting cold already? When I was there a few weeks ago it was still very warm.
We've been having a bit of a cold front for the last 2 weeks but this week we are jumping back into the 90s during the day lol
My wife and I just moved to Vegas from South Florida and we want to get into car camping. Your videos have given us so much knowledge on the gear we need to get started and we plan to go try it out for the first time this month. Any campsite you recommend? We live in Sky Canyon at the very north of Vegas
Welcome to Vegas! Glad you guys have been enjoying the channel! We moved here from Alaska about 3 years ago and everytime we tell people there is a ton of camping (winter or summer) they are always so amazed by that lol Since its getting cooler out i'd definitely check out Lake Mead (lots of dispersed camping options out there easy to get to or there are campgrounds you can book ahead of time online if you want to give that a shot first before going dispersed). Since u guys are in Sky Canyon, I'd keep mt Charleston on your list as well (there are lower elevation dispersed spots that dont get as cold) but unfortunately that area is still closed due to the storms a few weeks ago. Check out the channel, I have spots highlighted from a bunch of different areas near town. @@Kadenventures appreciate all the suggestions. We plan to try one out in a couple of weeks. Really bummed about Charleston being closed now, we went before and it was beautiful.
@@pfranco87 agreed! Hopefully it opens back up, I saw an update this morning stating they r getting a new lift installed so they should be open again for the upcoming snowboarding season lol
Would you say December/January is a good time in Vegas to go camping?
Usually yes but Its been a bit cold these days around Vegas (dipping into the mid 30s/low 40s at night) which isnt bad if your ready for it! but during the day with the sunshine and cooler temps its great, it can get a bit windy though so always check the weather!
Good video, Kaden. we produce LEDs for off road use and I learned from your page that you do gear review. So we would like to inquire if you would be open to trying out our pod lights?
Thanks for watching and reaching out! Email or send me an Instagram request and we can talk further. Thanks!
@@Kadenventures we dropped an email with the link to the item attached.
How far does the road go til it dead ends? Is it safe for bikepacking considering you mentioned its full of people. Thanks
The road doesnt actually end, eventually you will hit a fork in the road that will take you to private properly on the right side but if you go Left, this will take you to a hike called Lovell Canyon Trail, if you continue following the road you'll eventaully make it to Trout Canyon Road which then leads you right back to the highway so its essentially a really big loop around the mountain.
I've seen a lot of people biking on Lovell Canyon, I think it would be a great place to bike camp, lots of turn offs and dispersed areas you can set up a tent
@@Kadenventures thank you so much for this information. Water may be an issue for me but I've been learning how to dig for water in case of emergency. Are there a lot of steep climbs from the hwy?
There is one really big downhill section (so this would get a bit tough biking back up it if you were planning on going out and back). Also past the ranch the road turns to dirt. Water would definitely be a bit difficult out there its pretty dry so i'm not sure how well trying to dig for water would work. @@Beingkindfeelsgood
@@Kadenventures I am heading out soon bike touring pilgrimage. Vegas is not safe to ride through. Too many bike thieves. I am heading north to Lake Tahoe area. I am trying to leave Vegas safest possible route. My bike is pretty packed with essentials. Trying to avoid having to ride through death valley. Thank you for your responses. What would you recommend from vegas towards Tahoe?
@@Kadenventures also, I have gravel and road tires with me so I can change out my tires as needed for the terrain.
Like your content. Are you Pinoy?
Glad you enjoy the content! and yes I am! Full blooded Pinoy lol Thanks for watching!
You need to reorganize your cookware a little bit
Yea I try to re-arrange before heading out but sometimes you wash dishes at home and shove everything back in the box just so you can get out asap again lol thanks for watching!
@@Kadenventures I am just messing with you. Good stuff, keep i up
Why do you always tap your cans and other items that require opening. Just curious cause I always laugh that you don’t realize it. Other than that love your videos 👍🏻
When I was a kid someone told me to tap the top of the can before you open it so it doesnt fiz out?? I have no idea lol its a habit at this point I do it with any beer cans, soda cans, seltzer water cans lol I will also wipe the top of the can with my shirt before opening/drinking it lol Glad you enjoy the content Josh! Thanks for watching
Questions for your q and a.
1. What do you do for a living?
2. Did you recently move to a new house?
Thanks for the questions Jeff! i'll add it to the QA List!
