Ive seen some people just put a ziploc or nitrile glove under the screw cap during transit with the diesel heaters. Stops the spillage out of the breather hole, then just take it out before use.
On top of the gas take the lid off and just use a part of a ziplock bag and putt cap back on and it will seal it just for transporting when u get to camp remove the cap and the bag and ur good no more leaks thats how i have a gas can in the back of my atv so it do t leak at all
I'm hoping to get another group trip planned sometime in the spring or summer! If you have Facebook, check out the Vegas Overlanding group, which is where I post the runs. Thanks for watching Cedric!
I’ve got those same scallion pancakes in my freezer, and you’ve just reminded me that I have that meatless bulgogi in there too (although it must be under something because I was just looking for something to eat today and didn’t see it). I’ve been looking forward to trying both, although I had never thought to combine them.
Hmm possibly it may be a bit small i'd have to measure but with summer quickly approaching the heater may go into storage soon, lol thanks for the suggestion though!
The diesel heater fuel pump clicking made me want to fistfight people.. I had to slap a quieter pump in there and wrap it with sound deadening wrap to make it bearable..but its definitely great for winter camping!
I'm going to try the real beef one next time with this recipe lol my ass was just being cheap. These scallion pancakes were so good! Thanks for watching Dane!
It depends on what it is, for stuff like paper towels or TP, we get that in bulk at Costco so i'll just replace it when needed in the truck. Same for coffee. I've also bought mountain house meals in bulk from Costco as well lol so i'll replenish those back up meals when needed. Lately for the small green propane tanks, I havent been able to find those in bulk but i'd like to do that bec single cans have been really expensive at grocery stores (I paid $12 for a single can at Albertsons and blacked out when I swiped my credit card lol)
Yeah your gonna need to let the tent air out for a few days after that 😆Looked like a good time though!! Cheers.
lol it wasnt bad actually at least I didnt notice any serious smells ! haha
Good to know that the moisture is absent with the diesel heater.
Yea! Great benefit of the heater, I didnt realize until after we got it but its been amazing!
Using that green onion pancake as a taco shell looks amazing.
Highly recommend! Probably my favorite part of this meal, I will definitely try using it with other dishes, Cheers Jim!

Great info, thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot next time
For diesel heater, remove fuel cap, place some type of plastic sheet over opening, then Secure fuel cap back on.
Remove when in use.
Perfect, thank you for the tip!!

The sterno cans are used to keep food warm, not to cook with, that's why it's taking so long to cook.
Yes! Thats why the box said to use this stove in emergencies with the sterno can heat lol it takes forever but it will work in a pinch
@@Kadenventures yeah I saw that. It is a great test, thank you for showing.
For sure! @@mokihaname Just hope you never actually have to use it lol thanks!

Military mortar can might fit the heater

I would've used the real beef one instead, it would definitely taste better. You can always change the recipe.

Not a fan of fake meat my dude other than that if it was real beef I'd try that recipe, I've had the scallion pancakes TJ good stuff👍

How often do you replenish your supplies or do you get stuff in bulk ?
