Shifter looks great and I'd really like one but man that explanation for adjusting the shift coupler is confusing as hell! You might want to re-shoot that part and post it separately. Looking forward to placing my order!
Yeah...personally it might be better to replace the shift coupler first and make some indexing marks in 3rd gear before you remove it and install the Numeric version. Then install the short shifter.
The reverse lock-out looks like it's on the passenger side of the shifter for the first 28 minutes of the video, then suddenly it's on the driver's side. Why was this swapped? Seems like it should be on the passenger side for dog-leg 901 transmissions, and on the driver's side for 915. Correct?
Question, I have an 87 that I am doing an LS swap in, bought as a roller so no engine or sought after G50. Likely going to build a 915 with an LSD, will this shifter bolt up to my 87? Picking the car up in a week so can't look to compare. Great looking product!
Have spent hours trying to stop scratching the reverse , I cannot see how it can work at no point can I get going from 5th to 4th to lock of stop hitting reverse. A better video is needed guys to show the movement of the lower part and the lockout arm .
Finally figured out the reverse lock out set up now works - I hope - first is a bit of unknown not as positive as was but hey who needs first . Still think a little bit of time on a new video showing the lockout a bit more . Cheers guys
Very confusing explanation for coupler adjustment. May be useful to redo that part with "third" and "fourth" clarified and use terms other than "this way" and "that way".
I was excited about ordering this, but I can't believe this is an official corporate video. Lighting using an iPhone? Really? The most confusing and poorly produced official instruction video ever.
Poor quality video - why shoot it in the dark using a flashlight? , and a confusing dialogue. It might be a great product, but this video does nothing to encourage me to consider buying one.

Yes the coupler adjustment is WILD!

@@charlietango6546strongly agree with this. Indexing into third is key.
So the shifter was assembled incorrectly back to front at the beginning…

I wish you guys could come up with something for the 87-89 G50 shifter.
Do you guys have links to screws used to mount shifter back onto car. I would like new ones because some of mine are stripped. Screws and washers

you had the guide out, why not replace the bushing... whats the point of removing and not replacing.
So what's the main body made of?
Billet Aluminum!
This is the most millennial shifter install ever.
Yeah rite'o mate.
Seriously you guys should remake this installation guide... So many errors and unclear instructions =(

(Not a 1973) it's a 1979 911 Targa, ask me how I know! Lol
