I started doing this meditation 3 weeks after my massive stroke laying in my hospital bed i’d do it every day in between my physio sessions I’m now walking 2 hrs a day. I put down some of this success to this visualisation. I’m still doing this meditation 14 months on. I will get my arm/hand moving again and this meditation will help me achieve this goal. Thank You soo much. Very grateful. ❤❤

Thank you for sharing your amazing progress!!! I'm so glad this meditation has be helpful. You've probably heard of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, but if not...she had a massive stroke at the age of 37 and has had an amazing recovery, however, it took 8 years. She wrote My Stroke of Insight and Whole Brain Living and gave this famous Ted Talk: th-cam.com/video/UyyjU8fzEYU/w-d-xo.html

I am posting this comment here myself which came in the form of an email. It is so moving and I wanted to share it on my channel.
"My name is Ciara, and I am writing to you from Dublin, Ireland.
I wanted to thank you for the stroke recovery visualization you posted on TH-cam and to let you know how comforting and helpful it has been for my 85-year-old mother who had a serious stroke 2 months ago. She was extremely anxious and restless in hospital, and my Dad felt very helpless as he didn't know what to do to help her.
I found your meditation and sent the link to my Dad, and every afternoon they started to do the meditation together in the hospital. They both found it amazingly helpful and relaxing. These are 2 people who have never meditated or visualized before! I can't tell you how grateful I am for your work that has brought them such comfort at this distressing time in their lives.
I wanted to post this comment under the video on TH-cam this morning so that others could read how helpful it is, but I see you don't have a comments section.
If you would like to quote from the above anywhere on your site please do. Others would find the meditation so helpful and at a time when we all become headless chickens not knowing what to do to help!!
There are no other meditations like it that I have come across so far.
Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you.
    X Ciara"

I am Dianne, 67 yrs old.18 mths after a major stroke, very little physio or help, I have discovered through my own research how healing meditation and visualization can be, and this is the best aid to it I have found.Thank you for it, and please add more! Regards from NZ.

Hi Dianne, thank you for your beautiful comment. I am so happy this meditation has been helpful for you! I originally made it for my husband after his stroke and decided to share it "just because". I had no idea it would reach so many people and be so supportive. I have had a few requests for more, but I've taken a break from creating content for health reasons. I will consider creating at least one more video like this... maybe a beach scene? Do you have any suggestions?

@@createandcrochetwithpatricia a beach that's fringed by forest would be lovely.

Visualisation is important and I hadn't done enough but looked up meditation for stroke recovery. Not much out their but found yours. Thankyou. Great clear soothing voice and have played it several times. It all helps. I felt little twitches in my arm responding. Cheers

Oh, I am so glad! I did a video saying I won't be adding any more content to this channel with the exception of a couple of new meditations. One of those will be another guided visualization for stroke recovery...but with a beach scene. Visualization is indeed a very powerful path to healing. Blessings for your recovery!

If you sign up for my newsletter on my website, then I will send out a newsletter with any new content. patriciafentie.com/ My husband has worked very hard on his recovery using meditation, visualization, healing touch, physiotherapy and walking. It's been a lot of work, but he's super dedicated and his recovery has been quite remarkable. It is totally possible to regain much of your mobility, it just will take time.
