I just found you after 2 1/2 months stroke. I’ve been attracted to the information of the brain with Dr. Joe dispenser and wanted something more specific to stroke. I think this is it! Thank you so much I am looking forward to any more information I can get from you.
This talk on attitude and how much power we have to change our circumstances is SO important, especially when grief and anger is the earliest part of healing, but it needs to calm down and move over to make room for "the next chapter", right? Thank you.
Thank you for this. In my "Social work and media" course we were given this video as a resource th-cam.com/video/nyiiWxNguGo/w-d-xo.html As I watched it was so clear in my head that Fran had improved her balance becuase she interacted with the game and her Avatar as if it was her and was enjoying herself. If she only viewed her Avatar as a computer character and not as herself and a reflection of herself I don't think it would've been as influential. Fully immersing in the actions, mentally using her muscles and visualizing the feeling of using her muscles and watching a representation of herself perform these movements was therapeutic for her. I am just surprised to see how little discussion and how little resources there are pertaining to all inclusive forms of therapy for relearning. Thank you for your contributions to the world of neuralplasticity.
