Thanks! I write them in manually usually late at night after work hence the "motorcycling" instead of "motorcycle". I think it's the most tedious of editing, but people like them and often the camera's mic is picking up too much wind to be heard so it's a kill 2 birds with one stone situation.
Eugene D actually, these kind of "moving" texts are the best ones and makes the viewers wanting to watch more. You can add some colors to the texts too to show the change of the mood. One tip is watch SovietWomble's video. It's about video games, but the editing is incredible and entertaining. Your editing reminded me of his.

Maybe why you should not pass on the shoulder. I know you are going to say you weren't, but the bicycle arrows indicate you should stay merged with the main flow. So, instead of being behind the car that stopped for the pass through, you decided to pass. A big no-no. 100% your fault for passing where you shouldn't.

In my country the "cochistas" are gaining less and less respect from pedestrians and cyclists, that a "cochista" is a person who uses the car for any trip, and even if it is very short and, why, not to his They once thought they owned the road and were aggressive. The "cochista" is contemptuous is a deformation of "car" and that means car in english, which is in english I suppose it would say "carssist", but it is a mix of car and classist but it is derogatory.

Hey Eugene! Do you have any tips for cyclists riding around town with little experience on traffic and what things to watch out for? Great videos by the way, I purchased my loud horn after watching your video!
Confidence is key. If you are uncertain or hesitate you will be more prone to... incidents. Having a driver's license also helps, as you have to act like a car on a bicycle and follow all the same laws pretty much (in NYC). Generally I guess just stay alert and try to anticipate trouble before it occurs, ride with the traffic never against, and keep a good distances from cars (parked or moving).
Eugene D thanks man! I drive a Prius, drivers already hate me lol. Getting an electric bike (bad knees) to beat LA traffic on my daily commute. I'm trying to get out there on the safest way as possible. Definitely investing on an action camera soon. Have you tried one of those 360 cams? I'm think recording all my surroundings is never too much.
I have not tried a 360 cam but always wanted. I worry that the quality won't be great. One of these days I'll try one
So in California you would've broke a bunch of laws... Im assuming in NY it's different... I.e. You didn't wait at a red light 5:11 proceeded into incoming traffic, then crossed a double yellow to get back on the right side of the road. So are laws non existent there? Or they don't apply to you?
That intersection is extremely hard to make a left turn on for cyclists. I chose the option which is safest to me and those around me by going through a red light when no cars were around.

Hey great Videos you make, please continue! But next time you see someone laying on the ground please stop and help him. As you can see the people are just standing around doing nothing. I strongly recommend at least a forst Aid training. As an advanced First Resonder i have to say even when he is injured on his spine it is more important to make sure he can breath by putting him into recovery Position. He is already laying on his belly so you might not need to move him that much. But check if he is breathing and look in his mouth first. Also check him for injures.

I just got off my bike after a short (maybe 4-5 mile round trip) ride to the 59St Home Depot and probably had to lean on my horn at least a half dozen times to get the attention of cars/cabs and iPhone distracted pedestrians, though Brooklyn does look safer than Manhattan - gotta get me a camera :-)

I no longer work in Manhattan so I rarely bike in there as I truely hate it. Not enjoyable at all, just stressful. Biking in NYC is like going to school - not fun but tolerable. Biking in Manhattan is like taking finals - not fun and just stressful lol.
