    I like that you added your HR to the part with the wreck. Goes up quite a bit.

      Yeah that will wake you up haha. Moving forward all videos should have the heart rate (and look for cadence soon after).

    I tell you man, some people shouldn't get behind the wheel of a car ever. I've been hit twice from behind WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT this year!

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's how my first car hit happened. Accept I was waiting at a red light and the car started backing up into me...

    Do you ever see anyone riding a boosted skate board? If so I want to see a race....those things spring along pretty dang quick and I wanna see you take one to the limit!!!!

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do see them from time to time but I never see one going full speed or in a place where a side by side race would be safe. Mostly I see them in Manhattan dodging in and out of traffic. If I see one I'll try and race it.

    You know what makes parking in front of a fire hydrant OK? Parking three feet away from it further into traffic. Totally legit!

    TPS has started a crackdown on bike-lane parking/stopping. maybe NYC should do the same? (TPS = Toronto police services)

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really wish they would. They would make some decent profits. Hell I would invest money into developing a system where people can report double parked cars with a picture.
      People have phones with cameras and service. No extra police force is needed. The city gets a nice little income bonus to spend on infrastructure and what not. And bike lanes are cleared. I am all for it.

    hey man what's the best route to get to the Manhattan bridge from Brooklyn?

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on where you're coming from.
      My favorite is: North on Bedford all the way to Brooklyn College, then left at any point to Ocean Ave. Take Ocean Ave all the way North until you hit Prospect Park. Go through PP up to Grand Army Plaza, then fly down Vanderbilt Ave all the way until you hit a dead end on Flushing Ave and turn left. Take Flushing to Navy st. then immediately turn left on Sands st and you're right blow Manhattan Bridge. That's my fastest/safest/calmest route.

    • @ham3775
      @ham3775 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eugene D yeah i thought there had to be a better way than the prospect park West/9th street route that Google tells me to do. thanks!

    By some reason i like this videos. I am a person who use bike for work every Day, But my route is ussually the same. Why yours is always different?. Thanks for sharing

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are infinite combinations to get from A to B you just have to branch out and try a different street :P
      I often get bored riding the same route so I will randomly take a turn down some street I've never been and explore it. Also my route looks more mixed up than it is because of editing.

    Eugene ,I bike too ,here in Arizona it's not so bad around ASU campus it is though ,dummies see that the traffic is blocked up all the way to the crosswalk and still they turn left ,so when it's the green light the intersection is all blocked up ,can't even get by in the crosswalk ,then they all turn without yielding to pedestrians and run red lights and try to beat the yellow light ,but double parking in NYC looks annoying especially in the bike lane if all the cars didnt park on the street everyone would have a whole lane to travel by the looks of it.too bad they haven't invented a car that can fold in a brief case like from the Jetsons ,In NYC ,people should have first dibs if they do invent it .happy trails.🚦🚕🚖🚕🚖🚕🚕🚕🚕🚲🙄😣😔beepppppppp😤,lol

    • @EugeneD7
      @EugeneD7  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hah, what kills me is not parking in the bike lane... I get it this is NYC it's densely populated and sometimes you just have to double park. What kills me is when they double park and there are spots available. Block a driveway where you are blocking 1-2 people instead of on the road where you are blocking 5-15 people per minute!
      Stay safe dude
