My commute brings me across the 59 Street Bridge. Generally flat across Manhattan and Queens so I wear a bunch of layers in the winter which keeps me at a good temperature. Heading up the 59th Street Bridge, the layers are too much but I'm not stopping to change - just wind up unzipping layers but still sweat up a storm - even with "technical" fibers. What is your advice for staying warm but not sweaty on winter rides?
Good question I'll go more in depth in my video. But the two best things I've found after much testing: 1. Know the weather. Know if it's sunny or not, what the wind is doing and what tomorrow's weather will be (so you know if it will get warmer today or colder) poke your head out the door before going out. 2. Always better to underdress than overdress. Underdress you can go harder and faster to stay warm, overdressing you are screwed and have to take off layers and find space for them on your bike or person. I usually get the clothing almost perfectly so zipping up/down controls my temperature very well. Test different equipment out in different temperatures I have pants I use for 30-40F and pants I use 40-48F and 48F> etc

Question III: Why this long radio silence after saying that you had some news? I like your vids, and was worried that somehting had happened, or that you would stop posting... Hi Luke, Welcome to the channel. my 2006 Raleigh Cadent 4 cost me $450. It's very light aluminum with carbon fiber forks. But you can totally score a old steel bike on craigslist for $100 or less. I suggest you look around, know what frame you need as majority of bike pains come from improper bike fit.
I have used it, and yes I recommend it. It is my go-to emergency pump right now. I've had 2 one quit on me after about a year's use but wiggle.com were cool enough to honor the year warranty so they sent me a new one. All mini pumps break fast but this one is been the most durable and reliable so far.

Thanks! I use Garmin Virb Edit which is free to import my videos and overlay that data. It does so automatically from the gmetrix my camera records

Have you ever used the LifeLine Mini Pump? Do you recommend it?
I have used it, and yes I recommend it. It is my go-to emergency pump right now.
