Pit bull mixes are great. I had a pit bull/Great Dane mix named Aurora for 11 years. She named herself. That was the sound she made when we met. "aroo roo rr" Here's the best Dogmeat trick I know, & I never hear people discuss it. It really pays off in survival mode, but it could be useful in other settings as well. I discovered it by accident when sorting loot at Sat Station Olivia. Tie a bandana around Dogmeat's neck. That's all. The moment he has a bandana equipped, his max carry weight jumps up to 150. Suddenly, bringing that minigun & mininuke home is an option. He can carry that & all the spare desk fans you need. You have to unequip the bandana & re-equip it each time you load the game. Occasionally, his weight limit will reset when you move from cell to cell. You'll need to remove the weighted items he is carrying, give him the bandana, then close & re-open the dialog box to load him up again. Still, having Dogmeat harness his inner burro really eases the early game in terms of inventory management. The house adjacent to the Red Rocket always loads a red bandana on the dresser upstairs. This "feature" hasn't been fixed by the latest update.
We have custom armor with saddlebags on our dogmeat companions. We think dogmeat is one of the Best companions in the Game !!! 😄😄😄 Thanks for the Show and Tell Vid !!
