I agree! David I love watching you and Marie explore. However, seeing these home left behind to decay breaks my heart. We have so many homeless people who need shelter and these homes could be used to help our fellow mates. Keep exploring and please stay safe. Oh Jackie don't fall through anymore floors. Great explore Dave and Mark. It's so sad that the lady couldn't go back when her husband died. So much just left. I think there has been people in there rummaging about. She wouldn't have left it like that. Such a shame seeing houses like that. Stay safe xx❤️❤️

So sad. When my Dad died a few years back, my Mom refused to move out of the house he loved so much. She still lives there even though it's way to big a house for her. But we all visit and two of my siblings and many grandchildren live in the same city. She has someone checking on her daily. She's a tough old bird., and well loved.

Love your videos guys. It's such a shame there isn't a group of people who try and search for distant relatives so that someone could step in and save these places before nature totally destroys what is left. This lady might have been a school teacher for sure, or something to that effect. There were so many books I was blown away. And books have so much knowledge in them. It would be ashamed to see all that information and history lost to the elements. Over 20 years ago there was a similar place like this less than a mile from where I lived at the time. We explored it several times and it was considered haunted. I myself do not believe in haunted houses which is why I went with my son and another guy to explore it. And it happened to be on a stormy evening. Lol They were scared to death, but I simply walked through the place in shock that a family would leave so many valuable memories behind. This place reminds me of it. There were grandchildren still living according to a friend of mine, but they would not go near the place, or even discuss it from what I learned. Made no sense. About 8 years ago, someone wanted the land to this place i'm speaking of, and with back taxes owed they somehow got it and bulldozed the place to the ground. So sad. I've always wondered if you guys ever follow up on houses you've previously explored? It would be interesting to know if anyone ever came forward to claim these places? I live in Arizona, and there are abandoned properties all around in the small towns here. Just never understood how someone could just up and walk away? When both husband and wife pass away there are almost always extended relatives in most cases. Like I said, it's a shame there aren't groups who get together and search out the family history so that at least someone could step in and save some of this priceless history. Thanks again for the videos you guys. Your work is awesome.
That would be great if such organization existed but perhaps it's up to the people that know about such places to get together and do that. Just an idea......

like with almost all the other houses that are abandoned and left with things,, you're always certain everyone involved has passed away. but she's still alive..

I really have to say you Dave and Mark are great guys you care about other people's things and wonder what or why things happen true hearts. I watch a lot of exploring people but you guy's are the best I've ever tooken my break's to watch being electrical person I only can take breaks even though it's our company. I take and watch you guys wished you guy's come to the USA and explore the big houses here people won't go in thier to afraid . I would but no time.

Shame it's been ransacked and everything thrown all over the rooms in the search for money and valuables, some people just have no respect or compassion.
It's not been left that long as the bottles of hand soap are relatively recent as was the energy saving lightbulb. Enjoyed seeing her little house and hope she is now at peace and happy.

Great explore guys, the house definitely had a sad, eerie feel about it, such a shame to think that this was once a happy home, her husband dies and she cannot bring herself to go back there so everything is left behind, totally heartbreaking 💔 Yes, it would good if you went back another time because the house, although empty, has so much character and definitely has a male spirit inside!! I get it. After the love of my life passed after 27 years, I could not sleep in our bedroom for a month. I slept on the couch. After a year I had to move out of the house. Too many memories.

I wish I could afford to give you money, but I myself am struggling just to keep the lights on & the weather just turned from 82°F to 38°F overnight, & the wind is blowing 30-40 miles per hour. The residents appeared to be former teachers. Their books were on educational subjects, ranging from Language Arts to History, foreign languages, and even science. they might even have done the old teacher's trick of retiring, and then being on--call for Substitute Teaching work. That would explain the plethora of other subjects on the shelves.
The green bound book of Spenser which you, Mark, pointed out, is a collection of poetry by the author, Edmund Spenser. I have that book myself! The Naked Ape is a study of humanity by a zoologist. It's a classic in anthropology.
That locked door has a brand-new deadbolt on it! I wouldn't be surprised if someone is using that abandoned place as a drop-house for smuggled or stolen goods.
The pulled-out drawers indicate a thief was in there before you guys. Their method is to pull out the bottom drawer first, then work their way up. That way you never have to push the drawer back in to look at the next one.

Great explore Dave and Mark. Usually when a women has Ms before her surname it means she was divorced. Loved the family photos, such a shame they are left there.

The strange thing is though, if her husband died and she refused to go back, why are there no man clothes in the house? Seems more likley that she moved out because she couldn't cope anymore judging by the state of the house. Maybe one of her children put her in a care home or something?
It's likely that she's elderly and couldn't cope, ended up in a nursing home somewhere. It's a very common story. She could have had a fall or got sick and been unable to return home. The house may only have been abandoned for 5 years although it's clearly been falling apart for decades. Car on the drive is over 20 years old was last MOT in 2014, but only driven 30,000 miles in all those years. It's a typical OAP car that maybe got driven to the supermarket once a week. Probably a shut in and a hoarder, estranged from her family and no friends. I have an elderly relative in much the same situation. Hopefully these stupid chavs won't break in and ransack her house.
