Yes I have said that same thing before, it’s not Dave smoking, but I’ve seen the one guy in other videos putting his cigarettes out on the floor, I thought it was extremely distasteful and disrespectful to do that. So I agree with you 100%.

Well you got further than I did as soon as I heard his voice I stopped watching, shame as I believe Dave to be one of the most respectful people in the exploring world just sadly taken to hanging about with his exact opposite, had enough of the bloke on Dave's previous explore amazingly a burnt out house
@@Sarah-bell i didnt really watch it with the intention of paying attention to that guy. He just happened to be there. I was orite watching it till he sparked up then I just lost interest in the video all together as I can’t do with his lack of respect for the buildings he is in, he’s one of the major contributing reasons we loose these buildings. Dave needs to cut his ties or his channel will sink!

What a beautiful place and the fire place was stunning , it’s heartbreaking to hear what some children went through living there , another great explore and you showed much respect but once again that friend was disrespectful smoking then putting it out on the floor , I’m not against people smoking but there is a time and place to do it and these abandon homes are not places that should be disrespected like that , twice now he has done this , and I’ve noticed he talks over you a lot , but we’ll done Dave for showing us this lovely building
Couldn't agree more. He needs to stop exploring with these guys or he will lose subscribers. There were so many comments about this in the last explore but he doesn't seem to have taken anything on board.

Beautiful and you were respectful as usual, thank you for showing the world the beauty of the architecture and the history (you can imagine the sadness children years ago - prior to the guy telling his story)- but that guy with the smoking is showing huge disrespect. He is going to burn down something one day (and I am a smoker, so I know the addiction but come-on!) So hopefully this was filmed around the same time he did it in the burnt out house and you will go on your own again.
At 14.16 there is a childs voice that says "need help" just as you opening the door. There must of been some awful things happen here. Lovely architecture but very sad.

Beautiful place, I can't imagine the kids that had to deal with being abused there. That is awful. I have seen this one explored with Finders Beepers. Who is the goober lighting up in the attic of this place? Idk the smoking laws in the UK but that is a big NO here in the US. Wait till you go outside and smoke...geeze!

Another great explore and very touching to hear his stories from his time in the home. Shame the disrespectful smoker is still thinking its ok to smoke and flick ash and stubs out on wooden floors and talk over the lad talking about his time there. Thank god he's only got a Facebook page and I'm not gonna find him on TH-cam with his own show

I was in some really bad foster homes as a child but after seeing this, I consider myself lucky.
What a beautiful historic mansion, bet is was truly grand back in the day. You know Dave I have never heard you talk with such disdain about a place as you go from room to room. Yes, it was turned into a children's home but not all of it was bad and abusive. You heard your friend say that it wasn't. It probably started out for a couple of children and then it got to be more and more, and they didn't know how to deal with it all. The intentions were in the right place at the beginning and it went down hill with all the kids. Yes, I can say this I grew up in foster homes, group homes and come from a very abusive family. You would really hate some of the places over here in America for children, many have been abandoned and just gone now. Take care and stay safe. Where is Mark?
Great building, probably listed too. There is an in depth exposure going on now by quite a few people, about the child abuse that happend over many years mainly by famous people or the wealthy and priviledged. So sad to think anyone would treat a child badly, the world is a beautiful place but has some sicko's in it for sure. Well done! Hope Mark is Ok, looking forward to seeing him soon 💕🇦🇺

Wow Dave what you said about your mom, you are an empath and a sensitive. In my parents house I had dreams on ocassion for a long time, that a man in old rags stood at my door in my room. There were even some times that I couldn't move and I had to force myself to wake up. I'd look and there would be no one there. It stopped after my dog died, she watched over me.
I wish all three of you wouldn’t talk at the same time.

Thx guys, I actually understand the doors were creaking so I replayed it a few times and definitely hear a kids voice there. I’m empathic and love historic urban exploring because I can literally sense spirit activity even in a video or movie set locations. 😉✊🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The outside and the main entry and room were beautiful - too bad there was no more of the history left in that place. Very medicinal looking. SHAME on that other explorer for smoking in that old attic!!!!!

This would of been a beautiful home when it was first built, sounds like it has such a sad history though, it was nice to hear some actually experiences of someone that lived there, I completely agree with you on the extension it is so ugly compared to the rest!
When i was a child living in scotland i heard breathing it seemed like it was coming from under the bed o was screaming then when my mum came in to my room it stopped in started again when she went back to bed dave i was terrified😢😢😢👍❤

You talk as though this was a house of horrors, with abuse of children, but you only mention one story of floor scrubbing, that's only "heresay". It looks to be a beautiful place to live, with structure and education, art and music, gardens and recreation. Children in need, have to have somewhere to go, and they were given the privacy of their own rooms. You friend there doesn't talk of cruelty. I think your perception, constantly repeated, was all wrong.

Can you imagine being one of the contractors that had to come and install the modern plumbing and electrical in that basement. You would’ve shatt yourself and wanted the job over with ASAP! Amazing building. Fantastic to see it! Interior has lost a lot of the historical features, but some still remain. Thanks for sharing!

Reminds me of my mansion back in the Philippines. It's only a 2 story with 15 bedrooms and, , was occupied by the Japanese before buying it. Very freaky at night.

What a lovely building, I agree it will have been nice seeing the old interiors. Its got the counvil/social services feel now with the cream walls, blue carpets and big white fire doors. My auntie was in care in their 80s after my nana died young and she was only 9 but went off the rails as my granda hit the bottle. My parents tried to adopt her but she was having a good time in care. It was very warmly big house, home made meals, pocket money, money clothes and at the latter part she went out to the pubs with a couple of members of staff ! It was a holiday camp and fid as she pleased. No wonder she didn't come to live with us lol. Ps hope this doesn't deteriorate badly or gets trashed 🤞😔

Beautiful from the outside, inside most of beauty has been ruined by modern fixtures. Those poor kids, people probably thought they lived a wonderful life in this beautiful house. Just shows never judge a book by its cover.
