The batteries... the turbo itself probably is cheap.
@@KrisBendix I was wondering about that 48v is 48 volts 4 optomas should do the trick the turbo housing is cheap the real question is the high torque electric motor on the housing. I don't know who makes that. If Cleetus would show us the motor it could be made for much less than 2500
"Attention all units: There is a report of a blue 4 door Cobalt driving at a high rate of speed with 4 subjects wearing labs coats. Reports also states that one subject appears to be holding a remote button attached to a cable"
LMAO
Lol!!! Best comment I've seen in a long time!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
I am busting! Lol
I'M DYING OVER HERE LMAO!
“Dude, let’s go to the track!!!”
“Hold up, i gotta charge my turbo”
"We usually fail. This feels weird." Nice one, Coop.
Exactly how I feel when something works smoothly, something's got to be wrong, I must not have done it right. Low self-esteem and confidence sucks!!! LOL
Cleetus broke TH-cam, they can’t handle a lot of small bald eagles...
Timmy G si it’s no me with the video issues?
Yeah it doesn’t play anymore. I got like 5 mins in
adam morton you have to skip to 7 minutes then it’ll do it again a min or 2 after and skip to 10 and it’s good the rest of the video
So it’s not just me with video issues lmao
"4 dudes in labcoats in a cobalt with a laptop these dudes aint playing!" 😂
Don Doe ❤️
it’s $3600 now 💀
Yep!!! They inflated the price from so many orders 😢

I'm just gonna build my own
@@BoneItis639I really wanna do that to
Sai dove cercare questi turbo elettrici ?
Box labeled "fragile"
Slams it on table
You need to get rid of the stock breather box you’re losing boost through the pcv system.
Good call, Cleet you need to get this fixed before the track day.
great minds thank alike i said the exact same thing about an hour before u did lol
PCV has a check valve...
@@robertmaynard298 Lol biggest lie eu.
I like how they kept it all stock just to see what they'd get.
That lil' Chevrolet had Cleets mullet just a blowing in the wind.
I’m jealous of how much fun you guys are having playing with that car!
This would be awesome with a pedal switch so it just comes on past like 75% throttle
Hondanumber9 they make it work like that with the kit
On their website it says you can wire it it the TPS
It’s worthless technology used this way, think of a better option if you want to tune your car
it would better to switch on by pressure-when it reaches 0.8 bars in manifold, it means almost wot
Elias Emanuelsson for ex?
"hey, nerd." says the bunch of dudes in labcoats to a guy working on a truck. 🤣
You think Georgie has a little PTSD dealing with those guys? LOL
Devin Buchhorn he immediately went in to cockslap defense mode when james got out of the car... definitely
I kinda wish it really WAS all an elaborate scam to shock him haha
@@DrVink86 It is. This is just the long con. They're going to get him all the way to the track and in the blocks ready for a rip...then Cleeter is going to hit a switch and when Georgie hits the boost button, he's going to get tickled...
@@bubbabrown6917 cockslap sounds a little bit different than a cupcheck
Cup check..roflmao
When are we going to get twin torque-o's?
You should install a second one for "the sake of science"
Install ITBs and four turbos
5gs later
compound turbskies!
LOL. Dual electric turbo base Cobalt destroys Porche, falls apart later.
"This is the first successful science video"
Cooper: *it doesn't feel right* :'D
Holy crap 100+ likes, thank you everyone
I can’t believe this was only 3 years ago. Insane. These were the good old days.
I'm ready for a motorcycle test with this
I'm ready to watch it behind my computer, not ready to sit on that motorcycle XD
Yess
Lmao i dont want a crankshaft shoved up my A$$, thank you
I like the way you think 😂

Anmar Mansour oh and mullets
I didn't care for these kids. Jerky video too boot.
Nate's first appearance IIRC, ole' Cleeter has come a long way in three years.
Seems like there should be an airbox with two inlets and a oneway valve so that the engine isn't having to pull through the turbo when non-aspirated.
Read my mind
I came here to write this comment... Was thinking you could use an exhaust cutout that closes when you hit the button or something...
Smart idea
Also don’t you need to add another injector?
Yes , two pipe become one inlet. first two way freeplay and second one way inlet.
Y'all need to get your hands on two of these for a compound or twin setup.
th-cam.com/video/YAN65Hkfwpg/w-d-xo.html checkout this vid! Results are bit crap because it was not able to lock the gear.
Why not 6?
There is no reason this shouldn't scale up to a larger turbo to work on a larger engine. Audi and Mercedes are already using electric turbos (technically it becomes a supercharger when it is powered by anything but the exhaust gas of the engine but that is being pedantic.) Keep up the amazing content gentlemen!
@@mcgherkinstudios turbochargers use exhaust gasses while superchargers do not that is the difference.
@@mcgherkinstudios sounds like your going off on a politically correct tangent, listen i was stating the difference between the way a turbocharger and a supercharger work. Turbochargers use exhaust gasses and superchargers use crank pulleys and fresh air its really simple buddy there was no room for correction on my last statement so im confused as to why you felt like replying to me
@@eastonwerk5238 I use the same definition as you because that's is how it applies in my environment. His definition is correct but in a way that maybe irrelevant to me or you. Kind of like some automotive tech is just airplane tech repurposed. The use changes and so does the definition.

And under lock & key...👍👍
Well it does cost a grand more than the car they put it on if I was paying attention.
The turbo is more expensive than the car
thats the joke.
Funny how this bit started out as only a joke and now is turning into a "legit" testing bit lol
It's not a legit lab test because I didn't see one pair of crocs 😂😂😂🤦♂️
They need to get a white board and produce the numbers.
Audi irc sq7 have this type of turbocharger
Hell yeah happy to see Dr. Cletus come through to answer a question I was looking for.
