they're great and they are easily a life saver. just put a cooking pot down by the water and throw massive heaps of bullshit into it you'd be surprised what it will make. soups are great, custom recipes can be better.
@@bagbrownie2608 you're going to get a bunch of bullshit. if you put in cooked meat it's going to work for some raw meat recipes, or maybe I'm thinking the dehydrated stuff, I would just make it hooked up to a water supply so you can do dyes and everything super easy and not having to add canteens or water jars. I'm 125 on small tribes if you need a Crafter let me know as soon as possible before I switch back. all I made was raw meat food 20 stack for daily use 40 stack for boss and PVP and potato and carrot@3pcs drinks recipes n 2 dust dranks i think 10pcs or 20 per
i messed around with recipes alittle and found out that it was best for me to just match the recipe with how much food /health/water i have and try to keep the food as lighweight as possible. Having a 20stack of water to drink instead of 4 from a canteen is the only reason i do recipes at all.
That’s awesome, great job on the recipes. What does the weight of it when you get a stack? I know you only need like 3 or so and you good. Can you make a recipe with the most benefits but doesn’t weight a lot when you make a stack?

I had success at 175 movement speed and with prim flak. I'd make sure you have one in the fridge saved before you mind wipe the first time. med bruise and custom recipes healing stack anything you put in with stamina can be fed to a Dyno to replenish their stamina. I would make some sort of Dino biscuit if you want to Never land. I like to add in the recipes notes and stuff funny little messages like "you have been poisoned" as this will come up when you eat it.
Okey here is my go too in ark get 2xkairuku 2xovis 2x tek parasaurs ,kairuku =organic poly ovis = insane food/hide farm tek para = ele dust ,oil metal ,and electronics this ticks all boxes works on all maps nice tip
Hell yeah man, lets get it! In regards to crafting speed: is it only required to make the recipe or do i need to have it boosted when making the actual food?
I tried a single egg, and the recipe gave food, stamina, and health of 6. The egg itself gives 25 of each. I might make some from several eggs, in order to store them better, and I didn't crank my craft because I didn't wanna rebuy all my engrams... does it make that much difference?
I've found the weight of these things to be prohibitive (The foods). I've found a stack of 15-30 Prime meat/Lamb chop & 1 basic kibble at top craft gives about the same for less weight
@@rexenpro557 any crop is best for water so probably go citrinol, but will be a bit heavier, probably better to just get a Tek canteen for the buff and charges
That's really cool but do you get any advantages in pvp? For me personally are med brews to heal (fast and cheap) and some custom food from steaks and a Tek canteen for the other stuff. Or am I mistaken and forgot something?
medical brews are faster for the most part..... but the healing from both medical brews and custom recipes stack... and if you didn't know the other recipes such as Lazarus chowder give you stamina regen. so if you had a recipe with stamina you could also get two stamina regening foods ... and if you use the kibble recipe you can feed it to your dinos for their stamina as well but they won't heal off of it. so maybe make some stamina dino biscuits out of stimberries? all I ever use is raw meat because of it's convenience in a 20 stack and potatoes or carrots in a three stack for a drink. because you can go farm hundreds off of Ragnarok
yes official... make sure you use the focal chili for recipes it doesn't matter when you're crafting gear. I would just go to rag and hit the farm for carrots and potatoes for drinks and yeah I use raw meat for food for it's convenience
this was a totally clueless video the ultimate recipe is just 5-10 raw meat with high skill. it gives the best return for the least effort and hits your minimum requirements for food. all of these other incredients are not worth the trouble, they have weaker returns, are often harder to get, more of a pain to work with and give you results that are far beyond what you actually can even use.. anything over 100 food is pointless if you need more food or health, just eat another one
I may be a newb to this… but from all the experiments I’ve tried…. Recipes are pointless and useless. Yea you can make recipes that add more food and health… but at a significant lose of inventory weight. I can carry way more food at a much lower weight capacity. For example: 1 recipe of 50 cooked meat only gives +200(ish) food PLUS weighs more than a stack of just 50 cooked meat. A single cooked meat adds 20 food (20x50 = 1000) and if you spam a stack get more health than if you cooked them 50 into a recipe Other than saving 5 seconds of not spamming a stack and a longer spoil timer… I just done see the benefits of recipes cause you lose so much stat-wise and weight capacity by cooking into recipes. 🤷🏻♂️. I can keep 10 stacks of 50 cooked meat in my inventory for less weight than what 10 recipes of 50 cooked meat weighs… makes no sense.
If you make them with high crafting skill you could choose to make a recipe with just 1 cooked meat and it will give significantly more food and health, weigh the same, and have a far longer spoil timer. Add in a rare mushroom and now it has a decent Stamina gain as well. I think it's somewhere around 100 crafting that the recipe produces exactly the same result as eating the ingredient, with just an improved spoil time. Crafting skill higher than that makes a recipe that improves the ingredient.
@@BaneSIlvermoon Ty! I’ve figured most of this out in the time since I posted that. You know the element dust trick right? Add just ONE piece of dust to any recipe and it makes it like 10x’s what it would be without it. But one thing that still baffles me…. Is there a way to make recipes fill your health faster than regular meats?? That’s still my one big draw back to recipes. No matter how much you spam eating it, your health ticks up very slowly… as if you only have eaten once piece of meat.. but when you spam any kind of regular meats your health goes up significantly quicker…. Even tho you’re technically not “gaining” as much health per piece. I dont get that. So what good is a recipe that regains 1000k per piece if your health rises at a fixed rate even if you spam it. Not trying to be snotty or make an argument. I’m literally asking. Lol. I still like regular meats better for how fast I can refill my health if I just spam eat. Topple that still on top of carrying much more for much less weight. I still just don’t see the benefits of recipes.
@NyRangersFan05 The more for less weight part is a choice. You can easily make better recipes that weigh the same. I've messed around with element dust a little. Do have it in a couple of my recipes, but I haven't been all that impressed with it other than being very light. But yeah you're absolutely right about its use for healing. Recipes give a buff to each Stat they effect that doesn't stack. So eating a second one just extends the countdown on that over time effect. That said, i believe all of those over time effects from recipes are a unique effect that stack with any other non-recipe effects. So something like a rare mushroom recipe and a Stamina food would stack two buffs.
Yeah I tested it by just adding it to my existing recipes. Super light weight, but it seems wasteful compared to adding something like 1 cooked meat or 1 rare mushroom instead. Or a basic kibble.
