I have thousands of hours in Ark & a multiple story factory for creating custom recipes in mass & I still enjoy watching videos like this lol It’s just fun to watch other people play the game when I’m not playing myself lol Ark just never gets boring.
Tip: Use rare mushrooms for stamina and Cooked Prime Meat/Cooked Prime Fish Meat/Prime Meat Jerky for food and health. Both are extremely effective for custom recipes.
Okay, so in case anyone was wondering, you can save dying/starving dinos with custom recipes. I made one that gives about 500 food & health to a dino. You can also make stamina drinks for dinos with stimberries and rare mushrooms, you are able to use stimberries because dinos dont have a water bar, so they wont die. Also, using narcoberries in a recipe wont knock you out, in fact its a pretty good source of food if you dont mind stamina drain. And using stimberries wont keep you awake, all they do is drain your water.
Thumbs up before even watching, because I wanted to see a video about custom recipes like this, and I know that Phlinger will provide all the info I need in this video!

This was so crazy! Just stumbled upon this when watching abcs and thought, why not? I thought it was just a cool little custom feature like a skin. I didn’t realize these things actually had super good benefits!

note: adding 1 element dust to a recipe makes every single recipe much better, and is super cheap ^^
second note: Focal chili only works on custom recipe's, not on blueprints. the outcome of blueprints is between 0 and 50% assuming your on a official server. it's RNG

Recipe: 10 stimulant 50 mejoberrys
Description: Makes you a little harder to knock out
Medium Coffee
Recipe: 25 stimulant 125 Mejoberrys
Description: Makes you harder to knock out
Large Coffee
Recipe: 50 stimulant 250 mejoberrys
Description: Makes you very hard to knock out
Huge Coffee
Recipe: 100 stimulant 500 mejoberrys
Description: Makes you almost impossible to knock out

I agree with DJ. Syntac has done two amazing mutation guides, not to put down Phlinger, but for mutations as far as I’m aware Syntac is the way to go.

15 stimberry (white berry)
10 narcoberry (Black berry)
it give you good amount of food (one of this= full food when you have 100)
and just like 200 stamina
and 30 heal
remember i've mindwiped myself and i had 1100% crafting skill and sorry for my grammar

Wowww I just made a Godly food.. I had no idea this this existed before this video appeared on my feed so thank you! I just made a recipe that takes 3 cooked prime meat after looking at the wiki. Super simple and has the best hp and food stat return and that's with all things considered like weight, cost/simplicity of ingredients. The spoil time is also insanely long, I'm not sure what affects that outcome. I came to this recipe after watching your video and then going to the wiki to compare the stats of all ingredients. If you want to add stamina to my recipe, aquatic mushrooms are the best option and the only thing that I would suggest as it does not decrease your hydration and has good stats. I personally dont feel a need for stamina in my food but I may experiment with adding some aquatic mushrooms to a drink recipe instead. Great video. Btw all high end cooked meats have the same stats as cooked prime like cooked prime fish meat, cooked mutton and.. 1 more, I forget. Might be worth making a recipe for each if you have trouble getting a stock of one type. I only mass produce via the many brontos in my area. Due to extremely good spoil times you might as well make tons and be done with it, no more cooking for days/weeks. Preserving salts help a lot when farming these meats.
You can also make a instant kill potion for players or a super narco for taming

Overly complicated recipes but good explanation
10 raw meat with full crafting skill and focal chilli. If you want slightly better but less practical use cooked meat
I'm sure we used 3 savoroot on official for our drink but it might have been slightly more
That's what we use 10 raw meat for burgers and 3 citronel for drinks
I've seen some recipes that people are making with element dust and they are coming out with something crazy like 500 food health stam

On the wiki there is a calculator for the custom recipes. Does also work with upgraded crafting skill. It's easier than to experiment

you can put element dust into your recipes and it is not as good as eggs but better the most things and because it is so easy to get from all meck dinos i use it in every recipe

You can test recipes on the ark wiki, its way easier to find exactly what you want and you should go full crafting skill, regardless of weight. Also the demonstration of how focal chilli works is not really accurate since there is a HUGE random factor to how much crafting skill bonus you're going to get, also I don't think it matters anymore but it used to do.
So you do this and the next day you have take another mindwipe tonic to have the same stats you had before?

Has anyone ,made and trialed the meal according to this tutorial? Following the recipe, I made the hamburger and despite having the stats mentioned, it didn't last me any longer than the usual cooked meat. Have they patched this?

18:35 Spoil time depends on what you have it on.... yourself and the cooking pot should have two different timers per item. Just like Prime meat spoils slower on pets while you transfer it.

It's only for Tek armor and it doesn't display durability, it's how much power (element) it has

Man i have played this game for so long never knew about making your own recipes but my only problem is the mind wipe tonic only can be used after 24 hours and i dont want to use it than cant play for 24 hours duo to not being able to do anything how can i get by this or cant i?
