Note: if you use 2500 meat that weighs 25 pounds - 1 burger is going to weigh 25 pounds. Be careful about the weight of the ingredients that you’re adding. I made a bunch of meat burgers and was carrying them around, not realizing that they weighed 5 pounds each and I was carrying 20! Also note that Teach was only creating the recipes. After you create the recipe, you must put the ingredients again into the pot, along with the recipe, to make the actual food. You can keep the recipe afterwards.
It's tons faster to just put the recipe in an industrial cooker and the recipe crafts in seconds with 80 slots to hold ingredients as they craft. You still need the cooking pot to make the paper recipe, but the industrial cooker is faster for production of food.
Some tips: you can use the same ingredients in "food" as you can in "drinks" but some things give better water or HP than others. Foods that are good for taming are also better than others for recipes. Some of my favorite discoveries: Rare mushrooms give stamina (just 10 of them gives something like 1,000 stamina with a good crafter) Lemons (citronal) give water (berries are good for water, but add weight to the recipe which matters if you are hauling ammo). When making boss fight foods to help you survive, a stack of cooked lamb gives loads of HP, as does cooked prime meat. If you have a hard time finding lamb and prime, double stack raw meat to achieve a similar result, but it increases the weight of the food recipe. My favorite recipes: cake:40 raw meat Diet cake 20 raw meat Boss burger: 30 cooked prime Ascension burger: 60 cooked prime, 20 rare mushrooms Beverages: Drink: 100 berries Boss fight drink: 10 lemons, 30 cooked prime meat, 10 rare mushrooms Ascention beverage: 10 lemons, 60 cooked prime meat, 20 rare mushrooms. Adjust as needed with more or less of each to customize the weight and effectiveness.
Tech, just use ele dust and nothing else. 25 dust is like 300+ across the board a light weight. 50 dust per is like 650+ per, 100 dust is high weight but 800+ across the board on all stats. If u keep a food and drink both buffed then it’s 1600+ across the board with temp god mode basically. Just give it a try. All dust, nothing else = god.
Best recipe in my opinion and the same one that a lot of tribes use on official small tribes is 10 element dust.. and thats it, really cheap, just go to an extinction with a doed and break some lamp posts.. gg, food for months. With a level 110 crafting char you will get a perfect recipe that fills up 100 food 100 hp 100 stam
Thank you for your Ark related content - your perspective is often different from other content producers, offering a different angle maybe, or a new insight. It is great to respec ourselves with mindwipes from time to time, whether it's to make some new recipes, or maybe to finally craft up those Ascendant Blueprints to boost those weapon-stats even higher! One school-of-hard-knocks lesson I think you missed in this session is to record your "normal" stats somehow prior to gulping the mindwipe - whether an F12 screenshot, or old-skool p&p. If we wish to return to our prior selves after our crafting-spree, we'll regret not having that as a reference if we neglected to record it. Stay awesome and healthy - and continue teaching how to life!
Hi Teach, I know this is an old video but hopefully, you'll see this question. I see you use the mindwipe and add all the points into crafting skill to create the recipes, my question is do you need to mind-wipe to actually cook the food on a premade recipe or will it still come out the same stats because that is what the recipe is?
When creating the recipe, this is considered "crafting", and thus is influenced by your Crafting spec. Meanwhile, cooking is not considered "crafting" and is not influenced by external factors, such as one's Crafting spec. Therefore, no need to respec your character in order to cook the recipe ingredients.
@@kalvin9861 you misunderstood what he was saying. He's saying you need to up crafting skill when you use the notes to create the recipe, but no need when actually cooking the recipes
For everyone asking yes this is a real thing. Somthing I did in my alpha tribe 3 years ago when I was still playing. We had a extra account we all had access to in game. That character was for crafting only. Say you have a Mastercraft blueprint. With the crafting ability now its like ascendant. We played on prim plus, we had a ascendant long neck riffle and 3 of us defended our base from 4 tribes at once with the help of x plants slowing them down.
1 lamb chop will replenish some food over 7 seconds 1 lamb chop will replenish some health over 28 seconds This was timed after health and food were depleted - eating a lamb chop whilst full of food will NOT heal you ! You must be HUNGRY or very low food stat to benefit from eatting food to replenish health A drink or food that restores health does so at 0.7 health per second - the health restored is the maximum not an instant return.
@@Hu5ky I don’t under the hungry part. Do you mean at the time of making the recipe? And I’ll try that lamb chop recipe because I want something better than the med brews
So is there a website or video that explains which ingredients boost the different stats? Say you wanted to boost speed, or even weight? Is there some site that list which ingredients to add for the different stat sections? Appreciate you making the wonderful and helpful videos.
With most recipes, yes. Med brews give 40 health, you can easily make a recipe that weighs about the same and gives a lot more total health. I find that aggeravic mushrooms work great for health based recipes because they already give a decent amount of health alone, so the recipe just boosts it.
Be careful not to use Wood in cooking pot if using berries to make recipes. Wood turns to charcoal, and charcoal makes dyes. Always use Thatch for cooking. Another thing, what's the point of having a character with no stats to recover in the first place. 100 health with a recipe that recovers you 500 health?
Because if you’re getting hit, you get increased health regen if you have a food buff on board. I have a drink that recovers 2000 hp - so, if I’m getting hit, or making blood packs, I regen 7 hp per second with the food buff, up to 2k hp. Regular regen is 3 hp per second. I tested this! Add a medical brew in top of it and you regen really quickly in a fight. The better the food, the longer the buff! But be careful of the weight! Whatever ingredients you put into it will add to the weight!
I have been experimenting today and have developed 3 different types of poison using this video the V1 did around 190 damage which didn't kill me cuz my health is like 250 the V2 actually killed me the V3 does twice the amount of damage than the V2 lol
Wow bro ! At least i can have canteen/juice with me around the scorched earth! Thanks ! Just that mind broth and focal thing crafting seems kinda difficult
mindwipe is just to reset your stats to put them all in crafting, focal just enhances crafting .. afterwards you can mindwipe again and put your normal stat in again
You don’t need full stacks sizes to make food, as a matter of fact, that is a HUGE liability. My best recipe is 5 meat, five gold mushrooms. It comes out weighing about .2 tenths of a pound. If you put 2500 meat in there, you’re going to end up with a burger that weighs 25 pounds.
It's a slow regen over time and looks like it stops when the food/water meter is full. I've been using drinks with -water to prolong the effect, tlbut it's still slow.
