Wait until you can get element dust. That boost on that for recipes is crazy.

Use mind wipe put all points in crafting skill.
It would give thousands of food stam and water.
Also, I used to make death potions with organic polymer and leave them in boxes around maps for people to find.

Whqt kind of Stats can you modify? Is it only Health, Stamina and Food or also Oxygen etc.?
Its not a modification its the nutritional value, you gain it over time not instant, however you can eat stuff like enduro chili or lazarus chowder for buffs!
So, you need to be pretty high level in order to do these? How can i do this early game? I cant even do the mind wipe one... Cant get that much of crafting skill without mindwiping.

You go to Settings > Advanced > then switch Console Access to On. Then you can use the “~” key to access it in game.

this guys videos are VERY misleading. for one the custom recipes DO NOT give a "boost" to health stam food or water thats what it slowly gives you. also custom food is not "instant" it is slowly over time. he also fails to mention that the more ingredients you add the heavier the made food will be.
You also HAVE to be hungry for the food to work and you get a percent of those stats based on how much food you fill relative to the recipe. So you need to be starving and have 120 food for those to work entirely.
Drinks are better. Especially if they make you thirsty and then you use a drink that refills water stam health.
I just made a food recipe like the one in this video and it gave nearly nothing for boosts lol.
Helps when crafting skill is 1114...,unless you boost custom recipe effectiveness to 3 or 4x or crank crafting skill per point way up like in this vid. Custom recipe is almost useless on default settings. Eating 5 cooked meat fills you up way more then a recipe with 5 cooked meat on default settings.
5 rex/theri eggs (its what we have alot of) as water, decent healing potion
10 cooked prime and some honey is solid for food healing
as others have said, element dust is where it starts to really pop off

Does crafting skill lower weight aswell, like in ASE?
lower weight comes from having to use less food to craft the recipe.... or the weight is based on how much/what food youre using in your recipe. eggs add a lot of weight for example

@@Ju-Peter667 If you are having issues with that, drop a note in the cooking pot rather than the industrial cooker and do it there. The industrial cooker on ASA sometimes bugs and doesn't show the option when you have notes in it. You are remembering to put notes in it I assume.
How do you mind wipe?
There is a pre-made recipe in the pot for it. Just look it up in there. The in-game recipes like focal chilly is there too

Wouldn't call that super food thats normal food. Use 10 eggs and you will have super food. Even easier now with ovi picking them up.
Can you feed these to tames though. Forget my character i wanna boost my tames after battles. Looking for a better way than daes or owls to heal. if there is one
What teach failed to mention is that you need mindwipe tonic, focal chili, and be level 100 for this to be worth your time...

Only the initial crafting of the recipe, after that the recipe is what it is and will craft at that recipe level no matter if you mind wipe back to normal.

Teach sense a lot of people dont have access to mind wipes early is there a nice minimum stat for crafting skill ??
340% for small eggs and 390% for mejos/kibble if you want to make food/drink that is more efficent regen than eating it raw. Focal Chilli adds 100% crafting speed that works with custom recipes. You dont need to be over this threshold though as just having food that doesnt spoil is nice.
