    Thank you for the video. Your description is spot on! Figured the clunking was a strut but found the bad end link after watching your video. I also had the same problem you had with the broken rear spring, in your other video. Your description with that one was perfect too!! Thank you very much again, Sir! You are a life saver!!!!

    Driving a borrowed one of these bad boys and was very disconcerted by the noise. Seeing the issue and the fix makes me feel more confident that I'm not going to make the poor old thing fly apart before I can get it seen to.

    Thanks for the video :) Just wanted to add that if you find that there is weight on the drop link you can release it by jacking up the suspension arm by about 3-4 inches. Go further than you think. Also I've had to angle grinder the old bottom nut off every time I've ever done this!

      Did you grind the ball side or the nut side?

    My Mazda dealer says the front ones need doing even though there's no noise! Still sailed through its MOT. Easy enough to do at home. I was a mechanic many years ago. Great video.

    I actually changed the shocks new, as well as the inside tie rods. Also did the rods you talked about front and back, and still hear the cluncking sound up front..

    Great work!
    Where did you place the axle stands at the front? And where would you place axle stands to support the rear? I am going to be replacing disks and pads all round and don't want to support the vehicle on the sills. Cheers for the videos!

    Is this noise especially present when going around something like a round-a-bout? I've got that banging going on and this may be it. Is there a way of testing if this is the cause or not?

    Thanks for this video. I am having this annoying sound in the rear of my Mazdaspeed 3 and thought it would go away, when I installed new end links. Did you do a video of that install? I have gone through and tightened all nuts to the correct torque specs. Do you have any suggestions? It sounds like the Rear Sway Bar is knocking but it feels tights, even when I have it up on ramps.

      Check out my video on the rear spring noise incase it's that, I had a little bit of the spring loose in the carrier.

    Hi mate I have a mazda 3 2017. Annoying noise from the rear passenger but only over speed bumps. Could this still be the drop link ? Sounds like it's inside the boot. There are no rattles whatsoever just a one off annoying noise over level speed bumps

    I had clunk noise coming from the rear and had my vehicle inspected and they told me shocks... Immediately after driving home the noise was gone.... 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I know now to look at these soon

    Hey. I have mazda 3 sport 2005. I have alot of knocking noises, in all 4 corners. I passed MOT, and they said nothing is wrong. Any idea what is wrong? 3 people said, everything is ok. And I find it not OK, to go 60mph on A1 daily 😅

    What are the parts called?

    But it wasn't that for my car. I changed it and it's still clanking hard when I go over little bumps. And it feels like a rub or a hard clank as I accelerate... maybe axle? I don't know.

      Drop links are the parts I fitted as stated in the video title. Some times they may also be referred to as end links.

  • @kevinrios8127
    @kevinrios8127 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dislike those links. They get destroyed everytime i install cause they keep spinning. Did my whole front end and made the noise worse.
