The saddle of your bicycle was absurdly low. It was truly an epic fail. It was the most funny shit ever to see you ride on what looks like a kids bike. Give it another chance I'm sure you can do it!
This may not be your most entertaining vlog, but it is one of your most important vlogs. Your destinations and activities are fantastic, but equally as important are the words you say to us. And that is what gives power to this vlog. Hopefully we all take heed and remember for times we feel we failed at something.
Hats off to you Paddy time and time again I find myself watching your videos and either laughing at your humour or feeling seen in terms of mindset and challenges. Thanks for another great vid
Muay Thai is such an amazing thing! I was very into it a bit over a year ago, but struggling to get back into it right now due to some health reasons. But SOON, I will get back into it soon and shed some depression and pounds with it! .. not in that fancy facility though, I can't afford that. But looks great, would love to go sometime!
There’s a vlog, Paddy. Make yourself a legit killer. Long term. No bollocks. Hook up with Fairtex out in Pattaya and you have a world champ in Stamp, and Supergirl fights out of there. You would get a lot more views I think. A proper challenge that benefits you in the end.

Very good strategising for getting your mojo back Paddy. You aren't shy about saying it how it is, so I admire your honesty. And I'm delighted that you're recommending therapy as I'm a counsellor in private practice!
Good onya Paddy. The fact you got straight back up shows some testicular fortitude so don't beat yourself up about failing to complete the Bike ride. That was a big commitment considering that lack of training and the time of year you chose to do it. You have shown your strengths and weaknesses Paddy, we are only human. Looking forward to see what's next on the bucket list
It’s not a failure at all Paddy! You learned something from it and you move forward with your wonderful life😊 It’s great that you went to the Muay Thai training and it looks like you had a fantastic time at the end of the session! Look at you now, remember when you first decided to take Dreamy all over Thailand 🇹🇭? From an outside looking in, I think you’re quite successful there Paddy! Thanks for sharing your awesome journey with us:)
Paddy your a champion mate kudos and blessings for getting straight back on the horse...your an inspiration buddy Hey bro things may have turned deadly it was wise you LIVE Paddy the "Conquerer" keep on keeping on from Dave downunde
Nice place, thanks for showing us. Looks like an awesome place to learn and feel better. I trained at Fairtex Bangplee and Jitti's in the past. I'll check this out if I'm in BKK.
We are glad that you pulled back on the bike ride. You may have saved your life with that sound decision. With the Burning Season and the temperatures and the highway traffic... you made the right call
Paddy thanks for this video. Perfect timing for me. The doctor told me I need to work on losing weight before it affects my health. Now I have the motivation to do something. Looking at a local boxing gym in San Diego. Thanks again mate.
@@PaddyDoyle. I gotta say mate... for only training one week, your form and movement is very good. You're a natural at it! You should move closer to a muy thai gym and train more!
Hi Paddy, thanks for the video and the update about yourself! Honestly I loved the cycling series and from my perspective, it wasn't a failure at all. Do you think would be too hot in April to join the Muay Thai camp? Keep up the good work!!!
Instead of calling it a fail, look upon it as a learning experience. There are many people who wouldn't even attempt to try! A more positive outlook is necessary. And you can always try again in the future! 😊
Wow, you`re at the Superbon Camp! I just cannot believe. I`m a huge fan of Superbon! Way to go Paddy! I`m so envy you now but I`m happy that you got the chance to train in this proper Camp! I`d give a lot of money to get there at once:-)
Long time watcher first time commenter. How about riding the bike along the roads that follow the Mekong from top to bottom. I think they would have much less traffic and the river would have interesting stuff all the way along. Just a thought. 😊
Yeah i think so. It 's on my to do list but probably by car. 😂 I'm a bit older than you. A mate of mine did it and said it was awesome. Anyway love your work 😊
Dear Sir, i am very happy to learn. that you have been cured from the bicycle virus. I know how it feels for, i can still feel the saddle up in my lower parts. We wish all the best on your endeavours abroad and in Siam. Sincerely yours, your viewers. P.S. Dont get in to the ring for a fight. uhu
Thanks for your top class and interesting videos. We are always enjoying them. One question regarding your broken wrist. Do you still have the plates inside your body? I am asking because my wife broke her wrist last year. We are hoping that she will be able to move her wrist a lot more after the removal of the plates.
Ahhhh a few cameos from me in there… I didn’t expect that! I’m the old grey haired British farang that appears from time to time looking exhausted in the background!
I appreciate your message. I need to drink less, and move far more as I rapidly approach my 60s.😮😅 That said, I train at the gym three times a week… consistently/thankfully so. 🙏🏼 Cheers and best! I can’t wait to visit Thailand again. One of the few places that felt like home outside of New York City. ❤
Not a failure mate. Flippin hot. Big gaps without much in-between. It was always gonna be endurance over enjoyment and there's no one who would blame you for calling it when you did. And btw you're looking gorgeous mate. I'm a str8 guy and you're on form❤
To be a successful adventurer, first you must have good judgement. Paddy, you used great judgement in ending your bicycle trip, though you are disappointed, you safeguarded your life. That is something to celebrate, you used experience and knowledge about Thailand to ascertain that the risk was too great.
Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
Not sure why its a trend. I see a lot vloggers holding their furry mics. I find it rather silly. Failure is great thing, because it forces you to reflect on your life and plans. I am glad you are getting out of your rut mate. Always enjoy your videos!
@@anthonyanderson9326Ya I knew that. I see a lot of vloggers holding them by hand like mics, when they are met to be clipped on out of sight. Its a trend, not sure why.
You just need to train your preseverence and presistence. Somehow your shortlived biking tour reminded me of your motorbike tour in Vietnam a few years back.
Trust me. Doing a huge bike distance trip like that is hard for people who are fit. I am fairly fit but I do mostly bodybuilding workouts and I would struggle with cycling like that. I've recently gotten back into cycling and I've done 2 hours my body was sore lol. I think you should have used an E-bike since it's much easier and faster.
Wow, two sessions per day: and hanging out in neighborhood between. Very dedicated! You must be knackered at the end of the day. Don't sweat the cycling bit too much: that's history already. I am sure there are other day cycling trips you can do: one of my favorite fun outings from Chiang Rai starts at Fat Free Bicycle Shop and loops though nearby national park: map avail there. Have a great workout week, and let's see what happens next.
Thought about ya the other day while I was cycling around village on my EV Bike , pedal ob demand. Paddy could have used this bike, I sold the 26 inch which could go 120 KM plus on Battery
Paddy, do your Maui Thai for weight loss as you say, - the cardio and activity is critical, but a daily calorie deficit, is more important, with no more alcohol/Leo beer, that's how to shed pounds. Good luck! Looking forward to your journey.
No failure and always a pleasure to watch your adventures. If you should have succeeded biking all the way to the south, you should have started in December. I do not believe anyone can do it when it is 40 degrees. Interesting to follow you in Bangkok, but if you really want to lose weight, just keep away from fat, no butter on bread, no cheese, no sugar, no marmalade, no alcohol, including no beer, absolutely no beer. Sorry 🙂Can you do that, you will lose 2 - 3 kilos every month. All the best of luck Kel, Denmark, last 14 years beautiful Thailand.
Not used to failure says the Newcastle fan 😂😂 sorry couldn’t help that one Great content as usual - cycling vids were epic … to go and try something like that was outstanding - I’m sure there’s a shed load of info out there in relation to bike touring and set up, training , the whole lot - don’t give up on the cycling though …. 👊👊
Paddy why not attempt to do the bike trip again ? this time with a twist how about doing it with your lady on a tandem would help with the boredom and allow you time together . just a thought don't know how feasible this suggestion is
Don't feel like you failed Paddy, The challenge was a good one, but a bit too difficult in the Thailand heat. I think you should have used an Ebike and made it less about pushing yourself hard. You would still gain at the end and you will get a different perspective by travelling at a slower pace

Great update, Paddy. The three of us started doing Taekwondo and we love the energy and training with a big group. Good to see you feel better!
