Stefan's sat in the office in Sweden working on strategy. Bored to bits. Thank you for this glimpse into Thailand, Paddy! Hope you're enjoying your adventure. I'll be gathering inspiration and then setting off to experience it myself in a few months. Eyes on the prize. Let's do things that make us feel ALIVE!!!
I've felt unwell on plenty of occasions, but in 2018 I honestly thought I was dying. Two hour intensive Muay Thai class, afterwards I'm slumped at home, talking to my pal on the phone. I went to sit up and though, "Oh, a bit of cramp in my abs". Then, as I went to stand up, I thought, "Ow, cramp in the hamstring. I'll stand up". Then the full body cramp - everything from the abs down - my vision totally greyed out so I couldn't see, I was fighting to avoid fainting, bent over at the waist, hanging onto the furniture, for three minutes I thought I was dying. Hideous. Ease into it! If you're reasonably highly motivated you can really bugger yourself up.
Muay Thai looks like an amazing and intense workout. What a great facility and crew! Great to see you getting into it Paddy-boi. You're gonna be ripped next Budgeteers series ;)
Awesome! I think you were right - Muay Thai is a lot like dancing! It's got so much rhythm about it! Almost trance like! A bit like a Cobra - graceful yet deadly at the same time!
Loving the journey paddy , there's travel , there's adventure and showcasing of thai culture . This journey of yours could be the ultimate guide for thailand in future :) .
Just came back from Khao Lak last week, it was very quiet, very peaceful. I stayed at Suwan Palm Hotel beside the beach with light house in your last video, only 800 THB/night including breakfast, amazing price.
As usual, an interesting video clip which is not overwhelming to watch but narrated in a steady pace full of warmth. Thanks, Paddy ( better than watching the news) 🤓
Its great to see you want to learn more about Thai culture, Paddy. Next, go to the core of Thai culture and stay at a Buddhist monastery and practice vipassana for a few days or longer if you are compelled. It will change your life. A monastery is a real next level adventure.
Love it! Huge improvement in 24 hrs. Can’t wait for the surfing scene video now too. 😀 I “almost” did 2 months at a Muay Thai boxing camp for my 40th. Instead I went to Koh Tao / Bangkok followed by a 11 day motorcycle ride in Vietnam. Tad different. Maybe my 50th… 🤣
Great vlog paddi, muay thai is bloody hard work and not for anyone, the best trhai fighters are in there low twenties, its not for everyone but it is worth having a dabble if u r in the kingdom
Rawai Muay Thai was this first gym I ever heard and read about around 2005 when it was still in Rawai, 3 years later I went for my First ever Thailand trip to train MT for a month
I’ve been watching you for a long time and for some reason I truly enjoyed this one. I really needed it at the moment with the stress and wish I could be there to let go!
Dying to go by there for a muay thai camp and some digital nomad work at the same time. Chanchai, one of my favorite legends from the Golden Era, teaches there but unfortunately he was away on Dubai when you were there. Place looks amazing!
The training camp & accommodation looks pretty cool not bad all! I’m glad that you’re enjoying it & look forward to seeing more of your adventures.......thanks for sharing Paddy🙏
Paddy, will we see you in Muay Thai competition soon? lol Also, the sunset with the surfers video was incredible. Jealous. Please tell us more of where you are at the beach. Thanks
Hiya Paddy, great video. Good vibes. Love the tunes. Amazing workout. I would love to try that. Mentally and physically. Amazing. I bet you felt more focused after. And tired. Lol. Beautiful sunset. Enjoyable video as always. Safe travels. Thank you for sharing. Have a lovely weekend. Take care.
no need to reduce carbs- fighting is predominantly fueled by the glycogenic/phosphagen pathway which uses carbs for fuel. Muay Thai is not just posing in front of a camera, in which case getting lean at all costs is fine, however MT requires intense training and carbs are the best fuel source. You DO NOT see pro fighters give up rice and noodles in Thailand.
If I m not wrong the lady on the blue shirt who helped you filming is Diana . She is Khun Preecha s wife. They are owner of Rawai Muay Thai gym. They used to have muay that gym in Phuket before .
I'm Thai and grew up watching Muay Thai. I saw it until I felt it was very normal. But when I was growing up, I had a TH-cam channel where foreigners liked Muay Thai. I'm surprised but glad you guys like Muay Thai. Muay Thai has advantages. They are both offensive and defensive. You must study both sides. Offensive alone won't win you.
OK, when you said that you were going to do this, I was surprised. I mean no offence, but you get scared in dark places! But fair play to you, you really went for it and gave us a fun view of the experience at the same time. But the dance moves thing....? Cracked me up! 😂😂😂 Great content, top class entertainment. Thank you.
love khao lak...lived there for 6 months doing a divemaster course with Wicked Diving. Great little town, endless beaches, and a chill little vibe. Is the Happy Snapper still there?
I think the guy in the red socks is one of the best Muay Thai and kick boxer in the world. His name is Superbon. You can search his name and will find out how great he is.
Paddy I seriously hope you spoke to that guy skipping in the black clothes at 4:30! His name is Superbon and he's one of the best muay thai and kickboxer in the world. One of my favorite fighters fighting today. Oh man, now I'm super jealous
The man training the German girl is now the world One Championship Kickboxing who knocked out the legendary Giorgio Petrosyan with a second-round head kick to become the first-ever ONE Featherweight Kickboxing ... His name is SuperBon

Did you go to Mars bar? :)
@@ronyay3586 I was going to ask that too
@PaddyDoyle I must know
You do realise you were training with superbon, an incredible pro Muay Thai fighter !!
No not the trainer
The fighter
Dude you had the honor of training with the great and powerful Superbon.
I was thinking the same lol
World champion superbon....
I lived and fought out of this gym for about 8-9 months back in 2014. One of the best experiences of my life
Fighting out of the red corner, from parts unknown..... Paddy "Sack o Potatoes" Doyle!!!!!!
I've literally just decided to go here for 2 months and train!! Well done paddy...keep having fun 👌🙂
Enjoy 😊
I spent three months at this gym last year just before Covid. You will not regret it. Best place!

I visited Similan islands 2009 snorkling for 2 days and it was the best thing I have ever done while I Thailand.
I did several weeks training 7 years ago in Ao Nang/Krabi. I loved it! I was 65 years old. If you are in good health age is no issue.
The sunsets r amazing. The tall lady sparring with the trainer is pretty good. O with Muay Thai, every move comes from the hip. 🙃
Hey congrats on closing in on almost 25k subscribers you’re doing it man, you took a Faith and it’s paying off. So happy for you.
Muay Thai looks like an amazing and intense workout. What a great facility and crew! Great to see you getting into it Paddy-boi.

I wanna see Thij and Paddy do muay thai fighting on the ring 😆

Nice overview what someone can expect from a camp, good inside Paddy.
Thx for the video! Very interesting! Really wanna experience a Muay Thai camp in Thailand myself!
Nice video Paddy “knuckles” Doyle. Made me consider going there for a couple of weeks break to cleanse myself and get a bit fitter and drop a few kg.
Looked great fun in the ring and such a stunning beach too
Good overview of the camp. Thanks for your efforts.
Nice gob, something different...
Did not know you can surf in Thai. Love to see a vid on it.
Brilliant You did get to go to Similan Imagine the Sunsets from west side out there
Great content that sun set

Wow, the accommodation looks totally different than in the Thai movie "beautiful boxer" 555 - great video :)
Yes, thank you
If you did that for a month and tweaked your diet (reduce sugar & carbs intake) you would be fighting fit in 4 weeks Paddy, trust me it's worth it!
