Bill, I think you should do what YOU want and what seem right at the time. Welding seems a very viable alternative when working with something this old and worn out. It appears you are doing this for self satisfaction and not a frame off restoration. I think MORE people would actually do the same thing if they were presented with the same situation. @@billstmaxx thats what my poor kubota dealer had to do with a guys old ford 800n wich he just weld it solid and it accully keeps it steady and solid instead
Looks like the pivot pin should be rotated 45 degrees to lock in to the ring.
