  • Welcome back to part 2 of my new series where we restore a Ferguson FE35 Vintage Tractor. In today's episode we will be removing the front axel whilst running you through it too so you can work on your own projects!

Great vid Kev, I have just got a 1958 FE35, governor mechanism appears to be jammed - does the front axle have to come off to remove the timing case cover?

You keep saying "this haven't been off for a long time", but is it common take apart the the front axel for servicing your own tractor?

Great video! I have to replace the pin and the bushings. Do I have to remove everything you did or I can stop somewhere in between?
    Thanks

Thank you for watching the video. I personally would remove all of the axel just to replace and of the bolts and give it a good clean you don’t have to remove the axel carrier from the tractor you can leave that as long as the axle pin hasn’t worn the carrier. Hope that helps.

@@kevsvintagetractorrepair thank you for the reply!
Did you make a video to show all you did before getting into the pin extraction?
As I can see, you did not remove the wheels and the rods??
I’m asking you all these questions because next week or the week after, I’m gonna help my friend replacing pin and bushings in his MF 35 and I do prefer know a little more ahead of time😁
Thanks for all your advice, it’s really appreciated!!
