That beeping sound that happens in the drivers seat when you move it is actually something that's supposed to be removed during the GX PDI process, but all Lexus cars from factory come like that. I believe it's there to remind the tech doing the PDI to set the seat memory, so when it isn't set, it just beeps when moving it. All they had to do it move the seat through all of the maximum movements possible in the seat control, and it'll go away. Always love the videos guys, keep up the good work

I have an 07 GX470 that I love to drive. It's really fun to drive and has serious off-road cred plus the V8 has good power. This new GX seems like it retains the same type of spirit of my GX.
That’s a gorgeous interior. So clean and simple, elegant and functional. Lexus and Porsche get it, they understand something that many others seem to have lost touch with. Horizontal lines are beautiful.
The beeping that happens when you adjust the driver's seat is the warning noise that tells you the memory seat is not initialized. Usually its initialized during a pre delivery inspection.
That's awesome to hear about the engine not being too stressed. When I'm on the freeway going 70 mph the LX is sitting at around 1.8k RPM. It feels like it's just relaxing the whole time. I love that and would hope it stays that way in the new GX and LX.
I know this won't ever happen considering US/Canada's views on Diesels nowadays, but imagine if the GX gets the TTV6 Diesel from the Land Cruiser 300 series which has even more torque at around 700Nm / 516lb-ft.
The seat is beeping when adjusting because it hasn’t been calibrated yet. You have to move the seat fully forward, then the back seat bottom moved down fully, then the front seat bottom lowered fully, then the seat back moved foreword fully. That will calibrate the seat and it won’t beep
@garygeorge9648 yep, that's why I put up with it. It is loud though. I've taken to wearing my NC headphones while driving on highways. It's the only way to stay sane.

I like the way throttle house always comment on the sound systems in the cars they test. Many TH-cam car reviewers don’t always mention it but it matters to some folk.
Lexus nailed it on this one. You are right, it's instantly a want. Looks amazing, drives - well it's a Lexus so it's a very comfortable drive, and again it's a Lexus so I'm sure it is going to be extremely reliable.

You don’t want rear steer on an offroad capable vehicle, you’d wear the suspension out on articulation for sure. Screens are fine in reference to Ford because I’ve been seeing people have problems with the bmw styled screens they’re using recently.
As a 6’6” automobile enthusiast, I loved that you had your 6’6” colleague hop in the back seat. But what I really need is what is his space and adjustment like in the drivers seat. There have been plenty of vehicles that I would have preordered if only I knew I would fit. Would be awesome, however assuming impractical, if you had this for every review!!! Love your videos though!
I’m 6’5 250 and I can fit with no issue in my 23’ IS 500. My girlfriend can sit behind me too. This car is definitely bigger so you should have no issue there. I also own a Tacoma and have plenty of room.

The seat was beeping because the memory function isn't set up from factory. This is something done typically during PDI. The seat basically needs to go to all it's maximum positions to be "primed". Full forward then back, up/down, tilt, recline. They the beep will go away. Love your videos!!!

There's no reason to buy a defender 110 anymore. This is virtually the same thing but you won't spend most of your time in a loaner vehicle...which will have a 50% chance of breaking down as well.

I’m not an SUV guy, but it looks like a landcruiser and an FJ cruiser had a baby and it grew up to be a body builder. It’s pretty sick

We have a 4-cyl defender and love it! The terrain response and transmission make the 4-cyl more than ample!
Feels like Toyota finally listened to their customers. They'd moved so far over to the comfy BLOB styling that they were becoming their own caricature. This one and its down market twin are gonna really sell well, especially to male buyers. Bravo!

The seat was beeping because the memory function isn't set up from factory. This is something done typically during PDI. The seat basically needs to go to all it's maximum positions to be "primed". Full forward then back, up/down, tilt, recline. They the beep will go away.

There's no reason to buy a defender 110 anymore. This is virtually the same thing but you won't spend most of your time in a loaner vehicle...which will have a 50% chance of breaking down as well.
