Dang windy trip. Still fun to get out with your boy and make some lasting memories. Way to brave the elements. Looked brutal. Well done! Have a great day.
Thanks 👍 Bailing was a harder option so we had to see it through, especially as a fund raiser for Mountain Rescue and what their crews put themselves through, it wouldn't have felt right. Thanks for watching Les 🙂 👍
@1982Noddin thats brilliant, ive only been doing this for last 18 months, best hobby ive ever done, reminds me of being a kid 😁, i hope my kind join me for many more years n all, enjoy your adventures😁👍👍
Such a shame about the weather Dan. It would have been great to see all the peaks lit up. But you both went there, took part, stayed the course, and took the photos. I donated to the cause via the link when you put it up. Great cause and nice one for taking part. I agree with the cooking. A good job you packed plenty of snacks. That knotted guideline looked like a nightmare, too. I've experienced the same issue with my phone before. You end up randomly swiping from your memory. What has happened to summer and global warming? Thanks for sharing Dan and putting a spotlight on such a worthy cause.
Turning the brightness down was a nightmare, but didn't miss too much off the video! Cooking would have been difficult and we both preferred drinks with how many snacks we'd taken! That guyline, grrr! Olivers 5 seconds of filming me doesn't show the reality of how long it took me to untangle it 🙂 Thanks for watching Chris, only just catching up with all the comments 🙂 👍
Nice one mate. I was part of the group, I ended up dropping down off Watson’s Dodd it was that windy! Kind of wish I’d stayed as would have been fine once tent up, anyway had a better night down on Sheffield Pike. Can confirm it was freezing! 😂
Hiya mate, I kind of feel bad for walking round in a t shirt drinking rum now 😂 I take extra pegs everytime with the anaris now, just to peg the outer straight to the ground if it’s windy, and sometimes I’ve had to double peg some of the guys Anyway nice one for getting involved, weather definitely ruined the light up the fells idea lol Atb Alan
Hopefully next year we'll get the weather and a few more of us to get the fells lit up properly. Im looking at sourcing some extra pegs which are lighter to carry on top of the Easton Pegs incase I need to batton down the hatches so to speak! Great camp overall though pal, thanks for sorting it 🙂 👍
What a shame the visibility was so bad, that would have looked amazing from a drone. Glad your Oliver was ok. Its certainly still a bit fresh for July hey 🥶
@@1982Noddin I was up on Scafell with my wife and my 6 year old boy as it was my 214th and final Wainwright! Was cold and wet and I’ve been so busy since I haven’t even started editing the footage 🙈🙈 Was a great idea though and kudos to Alan for putting it together 👏👏
Great camp trip
Thankyou, hope you enjoyed watching 🙂

I'd have loved to be able to get the drone up to see all the tents illuminated. Oh well, next year! Thanks for watching bud 🙂 👍
@@1982Noddin You're welcome
Shocking night wasn’t it - felt like a winter camp in June 🙈🙈
It certainly was a little wild, totally unexpected too from our end. Which top did you camp on mate? 🙂 👍
