Looks very similar to the Mountain Laurel Designs Solomid XL. They supply one of those pole connector thingummygigs. I've seen people connect the pole handles with a length of cord to prevent them slipping but pegging the loops works just as well. Nice shelter.
Ah, a bit of cord running between the 2 pole handles is a great idea, thankyou for that. It certainly does seem quite a nice shelter though I need to practice pitching it! Thanks for watching mate 👍
God, Graves Park brings back childhood memories (was born in Sheffield but moved away as a kid). Also, I have one of the original Illusion Solo's (main thing I think they've done is add loops to the bathtub to clip to guy out loops on the bottom of the fly) and I love it tbh. The quality of it is amazing for the amount it costs (even with the exchange rate). My only issue with mine tbh is the bathtub can get a bit saggy, which they've now fixed with what I said above. My only prob with my anaris is also no two-way zips on the fly! Liteway have a youtube channel where the owner shows you how to pitch most of their tents. I'm hankering after their Scout now, if I'm honest. Or maybe the Illusion Duo 🤣
The Scout does look the bizzo doesn't it! I have since watched the set up video though i do love to see if I can master them myself, I think it gives you a better feel and a deeper knowledge if you just dive right in! thanks for watching pal 👌
