You were the very first person who told me that it is better to use a primer than concealer for eye base. Before I had always wondered why I would use concealer and my eyeshadow would still end up looking like shit. You’re also the first person who made me realize that I can have oily skin and still be dehydrated... gosh you are just so informative and above all you emphasize bringing out individual beauty compared to horrible trends! I am so happy I found you this year because now I can wear natural or heavy makeup with the confidence I lacked prior! Thank you for being you Robert and for helping us who sometimes get lost with the new trends!

I asked one of the girls there what the deal with the overly done faces was- she said they HAVE to show off the products, so if they wear “no makeup-makeup” or are too subtle, they can be penalized for not being good brand ambassadors, or basically not being obvious enough. Which, makes a fair amount of sense because they’re not selling to pros. They’re getting the general public in there. Granted I only wrangled this out of her after 1.5 years of ingratiating myself as being the only VIB rouge who asked for colour rather than “natural”. There is a definite way they are trained to push for overlining, push for using as much product as possible, because they want you to buy more. And I think a lot of the employees end up forgetting technique to preserve their standings at work.

This was so cringe. I completely agree with all of this, ESPECIALLY the concealer on top of the brows. Like why. Why did that become a thing. And the bronzer. So many white girls on Instagram pick orange bronzer and then use a ton of highlighter and don't blend it. Drives me crazy. They look terrible!

It's just a question tho, I'm very curious and think that asking questions in the respectful manner isn't annoying
I think it would actually be really cool to see you do the “wrong” techniques on one side and the “right” techniques on the other. That way we can see it all side by side at the same time and see the difference in the way your face shapes look and stuff. Like I can definitely tell your face looks ‘’wrong” from normal but I like side by side would help illustrate it better. Love you!

I split my head open two years ago and have a scar vertically through my brow and into my hair. Instead of asking how I was, my sister offered to cut me a fringe/bangs because god forbid you have a scar!!

I love these videos - absolute classic! I do actually like to carve out the top of my brows BUT I do it in a shade closer to my foundation colour. Also, I have really thin brows (cuz I love a good alt/goth moment) so doing this doesn’t block it off as such.

I respect and understand every aspect of this video. However as an MUA myself on me personally I love using concealer as my eye base lol I never had problems with it creasing at all. Maybe it’s the mattifying texture of the concealer that I have but I also agree with what Robert is saying as well.
