I do it because I use the smallest amount of concealer so it would look kinda weird if I didn’t
Monique Amorá same exactly. I am generally too lazy for concealer so I do foundation everywhere. If I need a touch extra concealer then I do just a couple drops.

Am I the only one who cannot stand the sight of overlined lips?? It just looks so obvious. You can ALWAYS see the natural line of their lips protruding (cause we're in 3D) and then the flat (2D) line of the liner on top. 😩😩
You're not alone! I hate it too. It just looks swollen and not appealing. I think it much more lovely to wear a blotted lipstick or something tinted but that's my personal taste 🤷🏼♀️

YESS, THANK U. Like, there's this one girl who ovelines her lips to the extreme, like it's literally almost touching her NOSE. It looks ridiculous. And it doesn't end on Instagram stories, hell no. She's going out there in the world like that.
YES! I'm no expert but if you want to make your lips seem bigger, you should never actually go too much past your natural lip line - you should just apply the lip liner/lipstick/whatever it is you're using ON your lip line (so technically you'll go the tiniest bit "over" your lip line, but not to the point of making it look obvious). Just the simple act of accentuating your natural lip shape will make them seem bigger, especially if your lips aren't naturally super "pigmented". Highlighter can also help in tactical spots (cupids bow - also using a lighter shade in the center of your lips to literally highlight it).

About using lip products on the eyelids...
If you have ever applied the lip product directly onto your lips from the tube or applicator, NEVER ever use that product on you lids --- not even indirectly with a different applicator.
The risk of getting a serious eye infection is just too great of a risk!
One of my college roommates had to have her eye surgically removed because of a rampant infection she got from trying to use saliva to clean up around her eyes.
Please don't put anything near your eye if it ever had contact with your mouth.

Thank you! I once left my matte black lipstick I was was using as eye liner at work and a girl I used to work with used it on her lips. She didn’t understand why I was so furious. Don’t want to throw it out because it’s from a limited edition set and had to get a brand new one😢

@Giulia Vidal tomasi exactly! Honestly took me years to figure this out. I now stear towards minimalist makeup (lipsticks and liquid blush sort of thing) at most! Cakey makeup looks good on no one.
Me too! I especially hate putting foundation on! It can so easily look so cakey/extreamly dry, I have to delute it with sunscreen to feel as if it looks more natural on my big pores 🙄😑 because I have rosacea.🤦🏼♀️
@@susannejensen4295 have you tried using something like glossier skin tint? It's like a veil rather then lots of pigment. I haven't heard of diluting foundation with sunscreen, does it work? I would of thought it would make it greasy-esc but you could probably powder it if that were the case

For the past few days I’ve been binge watching you and honestly, you are a breath of fresh air. It’s wonderful to watch someone who isn’t bitchy, judgemental or just wanting to shade others. You’ve already taught me so much about my face and make up and made me realise that the ‘Instagram’ look is not for everyone and certainly not achievable in everyday real life! For the past few years I have beat myself up, and my face (quite literally!) trying to achieve the flawless, baked, colour corrected and powdered make up look and wondered why my make up has creased, caked, flakes and make me age 10 years!😩 I now know what is best for my face shape, undertones and skin type! Thank you Robert 😊❤️

please, please, please make a video talking about and giving tips on make up, especially eye make up, for people who wear glasses! and if possible also taking into account different kinds/styles of glasses? like big or small ones, dark and/or thick frames or more dainty, thin metall frames; near- or far-sightedness...
I know this is a lot to ask, I just barely do anything with my eyes except for mascara (and even then only if I feel like curling my lashes because yep otherwise they'll keep scraping on my glasses, awful feeling ngl) because everytime I feel like whatever I do on my eyes disappears as soon as I put my glasses on. so, it's mostly just a lipstick for me, sometimes more or less bold, depending on whether I wear my nerd glasses or my rose gold ones.
I'd love to see Robert's reaction when his client asked him why he hadn't used spoon/fork to contour.

I'm someone who thought those heavy IG techniques would help me a lot with not looking 52. Do you know how much better I look since I found Robert's channel? Not to mention how much money I saved not buying foundation once a week. And James has also helped my skin so much. I might just win the fight against aging... From the neck up. 😄
Robert is that supervisor at work who gently corrects you by saying exactly what you did wrong but then following that up with everything you did right so that you get the message, but your confidence doesn’t take a huge hit.

Ok this is one of my many makeup pet peeves. Using a really glowy base and then totally covering it with a thick cakey full coverage foundation. I mean what's the point of using the liquid highlighter at all? She may aswell of just used any basic primer or moisturiser. Total waste of product and time🙈
Hey Robert! I wondered if you knew that Farrah, the girl that over used the Farsali product is actually the owner of Farsali? Or co-owner. Her husband Sal is the owner too. Hence the name, Far (farrah) sali (Sal, sali is her nickname for him). So maybe why she overuses it is coz she technically has an endless supply of it?? 🤣🤣 anyway, you may have already known this. I don't get the appeal of those things plumping the lips up for 10 minutes wether it is some weird mechanical idea or using a lipgloss that irritates the lips and makes them swollen for a milisecond. As someone with lips that get dry easily I cringe at all that.

The freckle comment you made YESSSS!! I’m sick of seeing people hate on adding freckles, I have freckles and I cover them up but I don’t moan, I think they can look adorable!
I'm usually not the one saying something like this, but the girl with the freckles look really stunning without all the make up. Every time I see her videos on Instagram I have the same thought. But yes, everyone has their preference and everyone should do what they love and what makes them feel good.

Brillo pad, while bad for the skin would also just shred whatever pallet she dipped it into! I do however think a brillo pad is kinda a dupe for those color switch products on the market. Irony: the lady with the beautiful natural freckles covered her face in so much makeup all the freckles were gone!

You know what's funny - the woman with the farsali product (liquid powder) is actually the wife of farsali's owner. I believe it's named after them (Farah + Sal).
