I just tried it again this morning. Shadowing worked and didn't freeze the game like it used to. So far no issues. My lizardmen team is 4/0/0 in the official ladder and I am actually having fun.
It's weird what they select to fix and work on. You'd think making the rules work correctly, connectivity, and setting up custom leagues would be the main priority.
Changing dugout visual customisations?
I guess they need to strike a balance between fixing the game and doing pretty things that people may want to drop cash on, but you'd think they'd be in a rush whilst they still have some players left.
Dugouts were probably done long ago waiting for the Season to start.
Might be about what people they have on staff - I imagine the environment & scenery art people aren't much good at netcode...
Yeah, mostly comes down to the art/cosmetic stuff is handled by graphic design team, and bug fix/game mechanic updates are handled by the code development team. No sense in stalling one team when there's no way they could actually contribute to fixing the fixes unrelated to their area of expertise
I still find it immensely frustrating that you can’t copy formations either from another team or from a user defined template. Makes creating new teams a bit of a chore
I've just hit Silver, I think I'm about 10-12 games in, roughly. No major issues, no concedes. Only thing I've noticed is in one game at some point one of my guys went invisible. Once I moved it (the white circle was visible so i could select it), it got fixed.
Pretty great update IMO. Obviously still not perfect, but I'm really enjoying my time. Also, the bloodpass + manager levelups really motivate :)
It's fine. I have very few problems on PC. If you get shadowed into the end zone you score double touchdowns for some reason though.

So it's missing literally more than half of the teams, has no game chat, no leagues, spiralling expenses and season redraft aren't implemented, and concessions are an expected thing for people to do as soon as they start losing? It might be interesting as a random fantasy football computer game, but I'm not sure you can say it's "pretty much fixed" as a Blood Bowl experience.
I'm confused "it worked perfectly for 7 games" but "pass skill didn't work"
I played 4 games today and it was perfect, no issues or bugs. Went 3 wins, 1 loss with me Chaos and had a corker. Happy as Larry! Even got to kill an elf in my last game :P
"Some skills are not working" - "I've had no problems" these sentences are contradictory. I for one refuse to pay money for this game when such a basic level of development as every skill actually working isnt even fulfilled. They have had PLENTY of time to make them work as intended, not only since release but also with their initial prolonged development time. It is downright pathetic.

I think they have mostly fixed the game now, they have even added the new inducement rules. Yeah passing not working is inconsistent, it does work sometimes. My only main issue now is I think the ladder will be awful at high tv without redraft. But the game is fun, works (like 99% of the time) and a few more patches/additions I think it’ll be a good game.
Yeahhhh probably gonna wait for awhile longer before I pick it up!

Yeah, I got it two days ago. It’s very clunky.
AI still doesn’t know how to use the kick skill. If the kicker has kick skill during kickoff they don’t select the spot and you have to wait for the timer to run out.
I can understand how this could be *mostly* fixed from what I've heard about how it was at launch, but let me tell you - as someone coming into this game a week ago expecting to play and have fun... It is not fixed. It might be *mostly* fixed, but it is far from finished. *mostly* says more about how far it's come, but nothing about how far it still has to go.
When it’s fixed it can be the best way to play Bloodbowl. We just need to wait for it to be fixed.
Thanks for the update. My online league is still waiting on the replay function before we switch from BB2. At least I also have a tabletop league to hold me over.
The controls still feel clunky on ps5 compared to BB2. It's an improvement but navigating the menus and playing the game doesn't feel much better.
My camera completely bugged out on me, rendering the match unplayable. It was permanently going towards one end of the screen and it wasn't my controller.
Think I will wait a bit longer before hoping back into this circus.
How many times did this happen? It hasn’t happened to me yet. Try again and see if it happens a number of times.

Another fatal error with shadowing.
Two out of 5 games blank screen. Had audio but no visual. So lost / conceded an extra two games. Id love an ai league too. Im crap at bb, lol. But also can pause for toilet breaks, door bells etc

Im so sad that there is no offline ladder like in Blood bowl 2. It was so much fun for me that do not want to play against other people.

Released a year late and still didnt work. This is why my pc sits idle these days as games developers are not worthy of being paid.
Baldur's Gate 3 and such disagree. Don't generalize because the BB3 devs are crap.
@HighLanderPonyYT one game...... at the back end of the year. New games like gollum which didn't work on launch and looked terrible. Starfield, had issues, looked terrible.

Keen to get some advice. I've just picked up tabletop blood bowl having never played any of the previous versions. Zero experience. Ahead of joining a local club tournament I'm keen to get some practice in to understand the mechanics and tactics. Would people recommend practicing on Blood Bowl 3, or perhaps Fumbbl?

If they make Blood Bowl 4, they should hire professionals to make it.
These were professionals. Professional just means they get paid to do what they do, it doesn't imply any level of skill or ability.

What is the single player content like for the game?
It's pretty bad the AI opponents are absolutely atrocious
The single player is 5 scripted tournaments. That's it. I've only actually played against 1 AI team that even tried to score.

Do you earn full SPP now playing online?
I think they need to create some kind of penalty for players that continually concede. Not sure what that would be, but they should get some kind of punishment for be sore losers!
It is ridiculous that some skills don't work. Why GW continues to allow this company to produce their digital BB game is beyond me.

I've been enjoying BB3 despite the bugs and I've, mostly, had a positive experience.
It's not the best game and it won't be for everybody. But, I'll be playing as long as I'm still having fun with it.
Is it only ladder games that contribute to the badge/level at what stage do you get to qualify for the next blood pass is it nuts?
It's on any games at all that gives progression up the blood pass. And it seems like it takes a couple of games to get to the next level
Checked today what the pass looks like, and it has 50 levels.
I recall Cyanide talking about being able to earn 1000 or so of their currency months ago, the pass summed to about 250 (if i calculated correctly).
If it really takes 2 games to level up, we're looking at 100+ hours of playing to unlock your (in the future) paid content... within the 3 month season?
You can skip blood pass levels with real world money, and i think the total was closer to 50+ € (?) from lvl 1 to 50.
So it'd be good to expect it becomes an abnormal number of hours to unlock it by playing... meaning people with other obligations have to dish out extra money on top of buying the pass?
Only few level up cosmetics were marked "free", so likely they are the only unlockables if you don't pay for the unlocking "pleasure" separately.
Not fully sure, but pitches etc didn't seem to be marked "free".
For my part, if it as it looks like, I'd uninstall it immediately if it didn't seem useful to test out my miniature paint schemes... :/

I've had no problem with the kick skill. Other than the slightly annoying having to select the player with kick first. Dunno why it just doesn't default to using any player with the kick skill
Is cross platform enabled for this game? I have the Xbox series x and might buy it if there is cross platform or if anyone know if there is a player base for it on the Xbox? Thanks

Bomber Dribblesnot doesn't have a Throw Bomb option.
I don't play online so you won't find me on any ladders and I'm ok with that, even if I wanted to I don't get much free time to play games full stop so getting an Xbox Live membership would be a waste of money
As for the game...
I haven't had chance to jump on since Lizards dropped (that's on tomorrow's to do list) but even since initial release I've don't think I've had even a quarter of the issues that others have spoken about with BB3
Either I don't play enough to encounter them, many bugs are related to online play or I'm just a lucky S.O.B
The offline game mode has removed the option to make your own competition, so all you'll be doing is playing the same 5 cups.

Those battlepasses are a cancer in modern gaming.
You will never play BB3, then. All the races are going to be made available to add to your inventory through the passes.

Bb3 is still broken. I lost a game because my opponent never chose my red block dice and then we disconnected giving them the win. The ui is still un-navigable trash.
You're kidding. It's still so full of bugs. Shadowing Often jams the game. On The Ball's on-screen instructions are wrong. Brilliant Coaching gave me a Bribe instead. I can't move anyone during Solid Defence. Often the game stops highlighting who has the ball. Etc.
On solid defence do you know you need to choose the players then press "next" then move them?

Have a go at the game with the ai cause that is the problem area real bad.
I had 8 good years in bb2 for me online bb is finished i dislike bb3s look and fill sadly that won't change but I wish all those who do like it meny hours of happy blocking but tt only for me going forward

2 actions at the same time from the opponent with one including one of my players down and the other, one of his gobs being tackled during his movement.
The clock immediatly moves to 00:00 and it's my personnal 7:30 clock witch is consumed... during his turn and because of the turnover he provoked.
Stopped the game, relaunch it, have to play it from the beginning.
This game is crap, they only master the commercial thing

i want to buy it but if solo is still laughably bad.... not sure then.
The AI isn't bad... it just literally doesn't exist. (So yeah, bad but in that special way.)
what a sad game BB3 is.
It's not fantastic, but it's reasonably fun and I think the ability to recolor the team is great.
One would have more fun repainting their feces by eating differently colored foods. @@FoulPet
