Really nice stuff, I m beginning to understand something, all thanks to you. I am trying to translate this formation into my roaster that includes a troll and a goblin instead of 2 lineman, I am really struggling with it.
Great video. One question though, is there only one defensive setup for a team containing a thrower? The following setups you show have three linemen and no thrower. Or, could I just swap one of the lineman for a thrower?
On the strong line defense wouldn’t it be better to switch the blitzer and linemen in the wide zones? Have the blitzer up front and the lineman just behind for support.
Also, I've been wondering whether it's better to have the players on the LOS with one empty space between them or directly adjacent to each other? Can't really figure out, what's better there
As for the offence, what are the pros and cons for putting Blitzers on the LOS in the 5-4-2 Offence? You can hit with Block, in case of a Blitz the opponets needs to clear a ST4 pice. But you got 1 Movement less to secure the ball later. Not sure about that.
It sounds like all of the defences (except the box) are great against Skaven. Is there any thinking on when to use a Chevron over a Strong Line for example, or is it all down to personal taste?
I've been devouring your Orc content (because they're the best). I've heard you mention that you used the BB2 game to help with this video; in BB2020 you can't run this roster with 3 Rerolls from the start, though. I've been using a Goblin; where would you reccomend it go in the formations?
For the one turn TD with Throw Team-Mate, how about putting the Goblin next to the Troll instead of one square behind? That way the Big Uns can clear the LOS and the Troll can move one square closer to the opponent's end zone right before throwing the Goblin, giving you one less square to run with the Goblin to score. Can also help with an unfavorable Goblin scatter
Thrower vs Lineman is basically Sure Hands vs -1 Armour. Failing to pick up the ball for the first three turns in attack isn't very funny, so I always have a Thrower. Once you get a spare Orc, you can always only field the Thrower when in attack, and field the lineman when you're in defence?
I still take the thrower on defense anyway. It's pretty valuable to pick up the ball if you sack the carrier and make the other guy waste a turn trying to take it from you. Not to mention the thrower usually gets a lot of SPP from the touchdowns he's very likely to have all kinds of other uses.
On offense I would rather put a Blitzer on the LoS for some reliable blocks with the Block skill. Just put the BuB on the inside of the wide zones, which makes it even harder to Blitz through them.

Thanks Quinny! 😁 Absolutely - setting up is all the same for both editions! If you’re running the troll then you can do two things with the Strong Line. Against a Slow/Medium oppo (MA6) replace the Thrower with the Troll and place him on the centre of the LoS (square 4) in between two BUBs; that’ll make the line even stronger and give you two buddies to activate him (boosting Really Stupid). Or you can swap the Troll with one of the BUBs on the line, and move a player in the mid zone up to be 1 square off the line but adjacent to the Troll. That play can still move freely, will still have to be blitzed, but gives the Troll some emotional support to activate 😁😁 Hope that helps! Man, I love Orcs 🤩🤩🤩

Poor orc thrower I had such high hopes for him getting better and he somehow got worse. Also don’t worry man everyone else calls them black orcs too , it’s just engrained at this point.
What about swapping the blitzer and the Linemen in the Strong Line Defence. If The Elf Team commits to the line and you get the Blitz, you are one Square faster.
Orc Box all the way! They're always going to be able to get a good blitz against you - but that'll give you the best oppo to strike back! Column will work wonders for stopping a fast TD - but you *will* lose a guy to surfing though!! 😁

black orcs are basicaly just to be used on the line. best to be place with gaurd in places where the whomping is the heaviest.

Depending on how bold you're feeling, but them Big'uns could potentially move seven squares, but like I say it does depend on boldness.

i like to put all my orcs on the line of skirmish and then to WAAAAAAAGH at the little guys before i WAAAAAAAGH on the big guys.
