2022 and still gets attention! Didn't grow up with this film but gave it a watch on a whim while going through disney+, and boy was it worth it! Can definitely resonate with the theme of having a lack of a father figure growing up

I finally watched this movie on Disney Plus, with my mom last night, and it was so much fun 🤩! And it only took me about 20 years to get here! We both agreed that it was so much better than Strange World! At least this one has a moral: You must choose your own path in life. We didn’t learn anything from Strange World! 😝 Treasure Planet deserves more attention. Also, love the music from The Goo Goo Dolls! ❤ John Reznik forever ❤!

I know exactly why this film sticks in my head so much; I never wanted to be a Disney Hero. Partly because most of them were women, but mostly because they just weren't me... but Jim Hawkins? Jim "Steampunk Space Pirate" Hawkins? How the hell can you NOT want to be Jim Hawkins!?

so did I but when it comes to movies it must make at least double the budget I think to get a sequel and considering this movie lost money due to a poor box office a sequel will not happen. I wish they would reconsider.

This movie is one of the last really good Disney's, one that actually delivered what the old ones did and made everyone feel like a kid again :) I think that if a sequel would've been made, even if it wasn't that bad, it would've kinda ruined that special feeling and uniqueness that came with the first one. Thank god that they let it be. I love this movie; and I'd hate Disney to death if they ruined it.
