I wouldn't be so radical. You can like or dislike certain aspects of a thing in this world, and still be a fan or disliker of the same exact thing. Excluding people from a certain fanbase only by the standard of appreciating a film/game/song etc. is pointless (again: not a bad thing, just pointless), because we are all entitled to have a subjective opinion. Hell, you can even like something that you objectively find not that good (for example: I found Star Wars Ep. VIII entertaining, although I also think it was a badly made movie, loaded with plotholes, contradictions, poor character-handling etc.). So, there's that, and I find it absolutely okay - because of this exact same logic - if you disaggree with me., since you are entitled to do so if you choose to.
But I have to tell this about BROTHER BEAR: although I have always loved this movie, I think I only started to fully appreciate it after my little brother was born a few years ago. This doesn't mean that I wasn't a true fan for the film or I didn't understand the message, but, in my opinion, the weight of these messages were only able to catch up to me after certain circumstances occured.
I always been a Disney fan. I love the live actions one and the newer animation Disney. People these days think that Disney is running out of ideas. In my opinion na ah!

I will love, cherrish and defend this movie to my grave. It holds my childhood memories and I get weirdly emotional just hearing the music. Its so spiritual (especially the Native American songs) and inspiring. The whole movie and its story is so underrated.

did you see it at cinemas back in 2003? i did. loved it then. love it now. I to will defend it until I die. I'll defend anything and everything that i feel is worth defending really. and brother bear is one of those things.
Brother Bear made my relationship with my siblings better, i remember crying again and again after repeating this film a dozen times and i just get carried away with all the touching and meaningful moments.

I personally love this film more than that of Frozen and big Hero 6. All films focus on sibling love which i love. But Brother Bear doesn't limit brotherhood or sisterhood to people you are related to. Kenai gets to know Koda and realizes he needs someone in his life to help guide and love him, the brotherly love is just as pure and strong as Kenai's love for his blood brothers. And the theme of family in the Welcome scene doesn't limit family to blood either. And i think its very important and beautiful to show strong platonic relationships between non relatives to kids, the world would be a much loving and better place.

disney probably deemed it "obsolete' because cgi became more advanced. personally i say fuck that. brother bear's animation/art and hand-drawn 2d animation in general has more heart and passion than most cgi animated movies today. they don't compare imo.

How much is this movie underrated and wonderful?! And how beautiful is this song?! I'm shocked that this movie is unknown to most people, really, it has such a strong message that it goes right into the best Disney Classics, for me (despite I love so much all their movies, "Brother Bear" is in my Top 3, from the first time I saw it)... Moreover, it's one of my favorite movies in absolute (animation and not)... I find it a movie so moving, true, pure, that hits you inside, coming to the soul... I love so so so much "Brother Bear" ❤️

I keep on watching this movie. It has the element that makes you come back to it and amaze you every single time with its characters and the story.. There's so much we get to learn from it, I just love BROTHER BEAR
This animated film is so beautiful and has such a pleasant soundtrack that it almost makes me angry that it has been so little appreciated by critics. Many, unfortunately, have stopped at the fact that it has some similarities with the Ice Age and ninth have been able to see its greatness. I love it instead!
Yeah, also "Brother Bear" is more scientifically correct than "Ice Age", but have less extinct animals.

But because I haven't got much exposure to this one, I can't even remember that I've heard the songs. But I know I have. And now, at my "old age" (almost your age), I love Great Spirits... Brother Bear will always remain as one of my favorite Disney movies. It holds alot of memories & emotions for me. It reminds alot of being younger & having no worries, now at 19 years old I cry whenever I watch this movie. Brother Bear, The Lion King & Jungle Book means so much to me.

Brother Bear 1 and 2 has always been my favourite Disney films I've loved ever since I was a child and I still love watching them I've got Brother Bear 1 and 2 on DVD and all the the songs on my Amazon music on my phone.
This is by far my favorite Disney (non princess) movie!!! I think it was the perfect movie and it had a really good sequel imo. (I wish it got a third, but it’s still good the way the second ended.
It’s story was really good and I never grow tired of rewatching it. Also it has SUCH an awesome soundtrack! (So does Brother Bear 2).

LOVE IT!!!! And the fact that it is sung by Phil Collins... OMG to die for. Such a powerful meaning behind the lyrics of the song. There are millions of differences between everyone. Looking through my eyes tells you to look beyond the faces and try to see what is underneath and to see what other people see when looking at the same thing as you.
Phil Collins is absolutely brilliant and I admire him so much. He writes such beautiful songs and has an amazing voice. The songs he's sung for Disney always bring tears to my eyes.
