    Thanks Anthony very appreciative of your efforts to make this video. I could not have done it without your ‘help’. For any future readers, if your hilux has 3rz with passenger airbag and ABS, you’ll need to remove the engine management and ABS modules, but otherwise follow the process outlined in the video. Cheers again to Anthony , a Champion.

    Thank you so much for the video followed it pretty much step by step took me roughly around 4.5 hours from start to finish note if you have a 5le you will need to remove the computer to allow the heater box to slide out

    Awesome videos on the hilux, I have a 2000 hilux 2wd 2.7l petrol, trying to do bits and pieces myself so watching these vidoes definitely help, even just to clean up all behind the dash

    Great tutorial 👌. I have the 3l toyota hiace, but would this be a similar process behind the dash? Would love to have my heat and aircon working again

    Good video, where is the heater valve please as I need to replace mine and toyota can't find it.

      There is no heather valve, the system only changes the direction of airflow to regulate the temperature.

    Hey mate, great video thanks for posting it. Do you know where the heater tap is for this model, (mine is a 1999 Hilux 4wd) I can’t find it anywhere. I have 1 hot hose going into the firewall but the other one is cold so I’m assuming it’s not flowing through the heater core. I thought it might be at the bottom of the heater box where the cable connects but there can’t be a tap there after watching your video and seeing how the core comes out. I have followed the hoses from the thermostat to the fire wall but it’s not there anywhere.
    Any help would be much appreciated as I’m freezing my ass off driving to work in the mornings, cheers

      Hey mate, this model doesn’t have a heater tap. It had a constant flow of coolant running through the core at all times and it controls the temperature that comes out of the vents with a flap that directs air through the core. If you are feeling hot water going to the fire wall but not out it could be a blocked core or you need to bleed the cooling system with a funnel that sits higher than the two fittings on the fire wall

    Thanks mate, great video. Looking at putting AC in an 1998 hilux workmate, your video was really helpful. Whered you source the AC parts for your hilux?

    Too hard for me mate...just going to undo the hoses and block them with bolts and screw clamps and go without a heater...just be using a blanket for those winter drives...as long as i've got air con for the summer that'll do me!

    • @marinocustombuilds
      @marinocustombuilds  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah bro, it’s a bit of work. You can actually loop the hoses to bypass the heater core, which is what I did for 4 years 😊
