  • This is a bit of different video than my usual DIY Project Vdeos. btw, watch this if you have any trouble with your car's hot air ventilation.
    If you heat not working? Or Not in proper hot? Here is the solution to unclog and heater core flush. Learn how to flush your car heater core. In this video I am going to show you how to flush the Heater Core/ Heater Element of your Car specially in Toyota Model cars. This is a very simple method that you can easily do at your own without any fancy equipment.
    Steps:
    1) Locate the Heater Core Hoses.
    2) Identify the Heater Core’s Inlet and Outlet Hoses.
    3) Check whether the Engine is Cool Down.
    4) Remove the Hose clamps using a Plier.
    5) Remove the two hoses.
    6) Using your garden water hose flush the inlet and outlet in both directions. (Below 10psi of water pressure)
    7) Remove the remaining water from the heater core using an external pipe
    8) Fill the correct type of antifreeze/ Coolant until it comes out from the next hose
    9) Fix the two hoses and clamp it down.
    10) Check and refill the levels of Coolant in Radiator and Coolant expansion tank.
    11) Run the Engine for a while and turn on the Max Heat.
    12) After Cool down the Engine do the step No-10 once again.
    13) You are done!
    Thank you.

    Now remove the upper and lower radiator hose and flush the engine block. Then remove the radiator drain plug and flush the radiator. Put it all bag together and fill it back up with radiator fluid.

    Isnt it recomended that the flush is done backwards? I.e. in via the exit hose and out via the entry hose?

    Hi!
    Thank you for the video!
    If I just flush coolant in radiator and refill new fluid - won't the result be the same?
    Thanks!

    I want to know what coolant goes in my 2005 Toyota Corolla my Toyota does have green coolant in it and a new water pump and I want to know why my heater isn’t getting hot anymore and how to remove the heater core not how to flush it unless this will help my situation

      Check your owners manual. They have the specs for your car and will tell you exactly which type of coolant you need. Don't listen to TH-cam comments. Listen to the people who manufactured your vehicle.

    Was the heat exchanger even plugged? This is great if you don’t have a problem but if it’s plugged, not a very good video.

    What was the result? More heat, less heat? What was the final practical outcome?

    • @Optimistgus
      @Optimistgus 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      More heat. If it's blocked the heat in your car is compromised

    Really if dirty put a hose on that is long enough to hold a half quart and pour radiator flush straight in heater core let set for few hours

    Good video, very helpful, many thanks!! You made it look so easy - wonderful! Some tips:
    COOLANT, not COOLENT.
    Please don't add music. Its hard to focus. Natural sounds is best.

    Toyota's DON'T take green coolant! Red or Pink only as far as I know.

    • @LahisTechLT
      @LahisTechLT  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      most toyota vehicles before year 2010 mfd requires green one. "Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT): This old-fashioned green coolant used for decades is still around because some older cars require it. It contains chemicals that prevent copper brass, cast iron, and aluminum cooling system components from deteriorating. This type of coolant is not recommended for newer cars." parts.olathetoyota.com/blog/ultimate-coolant-color-guide

      @@LahisTechLT I saw my mechanics coolant machine. Its colorless and he had dye bottles attached on the machine. Great video.

      @Dziugenonas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dude, it doesn't matter as long as it's coolant. It'll do the job.

    • @TheDarkestForce
      @TheDarkestForce 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@Dziugenonas That wasn't the point. MIXING pink/red with green was the point. It causes a reaction making it thick to the point of not being able to flow through the system.

    • @TheDarkestForce
      @TheDarkestForce 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Right. Please point out where in the manual it says insert "green coolant"? The 2005 Corolla manual for North America states on page 259 to only fill with Super Long Life OAC coolant. That coolant is NOT green. Here is the manual from the Toyota website: www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM12815U/pdf/OM12815U.pdf
