I dont understand when people make claims that its a reliable car and then they say they have 60k miles on the car...I mean there are already some cars that have reached 1 million miles....i mean I would consider that reliable or even 500k miles but I have yet to hear anyone saying their b58 has reached 500k miles and still going.
Even the 2015-2017 n55 is insane with a simple $700 bootmod tune…. 0 to 60 in 3.7secs. I’ve worked on these and aside from basic maintenance (usual chargepipe etc) , I seen most go 150k+ miles
i feel the same way about my 240, bought it at 20k miles im at about 50 now, looking for low mile ones and hoping to get estoril blue again, also i got lucky and have the m perf muffler, sounds great
Nicely said 👌, my vanos actuator also acting up from time to time. I got the drivetrain malfunction and took it to the dealer for diagnosis they recommend swapping intake and exhaust solenoid and see how it goes.
i would have bought this but the looks are very understated...it looks boring..so started looking at the 440, then went F82 instead. the first B58 was amazing, there were issues, but its performance and reliability second to none.
The values I mentioned were for other B58 cars like the 340i since they’re quite similar, many of which can be had sub 20k. My own car I got more than $30k for still when I sold it recently. 240s hold their value far better it seems.
i share the same sentiment, the sense of speed is screwed in these cars, im in a 50km/h backroad i push the pedal a bit and im directly at 120 and need to dial it back hahaha, its impossible to drive these cars to their full abilities without being a public danger. How is your new shoe feeling right now on backroads, do you get snow in winter? is the rwd experience that much different? sometimes i get the devil you got too and makes me wanna switch to a more old school one, rough one hahaha
The sense of speed in this he shoe is wayyy better. I find myself having a good time just going the speed limit which is impossible in the 240. I do get snow in winter where I currently live (which is why I got xdrive on the 240) but I plan on moving to a warmer climate before this winter. Idk how much of a difference the RWD makes compared to just being way lighter, but the front end feels way more responsive in the shoe. It’s definitely nicer around corners than the 240 ever was but it’s also wearing nicer tires as well. Overall it’s a totally different experience and I have no regrets thus far! Definitely loving it.
@@mevans8646 nice nice as long as its not heavy snow you should be fine, thats also why i went with the xdrive cause im in montreal, even if sometimes i get the ick of going rwd, wanted to go for a e46 m3 but that old car is still plenty fast so i would just downgrade the daily drivability for little backroad fun(if it was warmer weather it wouldve been nice), i wish we were rich so we can have 2 cars and 2+ place garages hahaha, i think im just gonna wait until depreciation hits the ct4v blackwing and change in a couple of years, until then waiting for your drive of the shoe :)

Man you seem way low on your values. My 17 is right at 20k miles and no way would I take less that 30 for it.
