The reason why it tops out at 130mph is because he didn't option it with the m performance package where you get wider tires, bigger brake disc, extended wheel arches, oil cooler and top speed raised to 155mph, so if any one wants to order one don't forget that option, it's only $2400 extra.
I have a 2022 M240i and on my car, the package you referred to was called something like the "Performance Tire" package which included not only the Michelin PS 4S summer tires, but the oil cooler and the raised speed limit to 155 mph. To me, with the B58 engine, this car should come with those tires and the raised speed limit, otherwise, I would just get the 4 cylinder version.
These cars have a locked ecu as do all BMW's since June of 2020. The only way around that is a bench unlock by removing the ecu and sending it to Norway as that is the only place that is currently performing these. After that, one can install an MHD or Bootmode tune.@@jayopnl
My buddy just got one and I tinted it for him. We don't leave an windows untinted, to me that looks crazy. I tinted the full windshield too and it looks way better. Same color but his also has the performance parts. Crazy car!
These things are sweet I've been checking them out recently as well, the M2 has a much more aggressive look but unfortunately only comes RWD and not AWD. It'd be nice if the M2 came in AWD and if these models had the 48v mild hybrid system. He bought himself a sweet car, he's gonna get a lot of fun out that unit, nice choice
TINT the back!!! I have limo black on the back of my 2023 M240i and the small side windows and 35% on the sides. The back has had no issues with bubbling with the rear defroster and we just went through a 2-week cold spell where the temps were hovering around -40C (-40F) and I was running the rear defroster daily
This looks siiiiiick. I'm prob gonna put an order in (portamao blue/cognac) here in a few weeks. Damn these looks great. I just love the profile on it.
I personally like these over the M2 - even though we don't get too much "weather" here in central Ohio we get enough to where if you don't have another AWD choice it becomes a little more of an issue (or if you have to travel an hour north. I'll stick to my MINIs for now (5 of them now). As I'd build one looking around $57k - not too bad.
There are no carbon ceramic brake options for the M240i. Not sure how he could have driven one with them. 🤦♂️ Also, the only thing required to unlock the higher speed limit is non run flats.
There's no way a 30 min software tune can push that much power. S1 / S2 tunes bring the stock 380hp to around 450-500+ but 1000+ needs forged and built internals, 1000 off of a tune is complete BS... not to mention how unstable the car that small would be with stock tyres
You are wrong. The N58 engine already has forged internals and people are easily making over 900 whp with just bolt ons and the car is not unstable running high hp
I usually like white n black.. With all the black plastic on the bottom throws me off. Especially the rear. I could only get black in this model.. BMW graphics in the interior looks cheap..
was looking at this, but the styling is just not with it.... looks like a mini tank for sure, but not a free flow styling, looks i give it a 6/10, better than the previous m240 though, which looked too bland. went with a F82. 2019
@@WillMotivation you can tell because of the airbag. I own the 2023 model and there is stitching on it. For the 2024 model, which I actually have seen because a friend has that year, they changed the airbag design and there is no longer stitching on it and it is one piece.

There was a video showing this exact M240i beats Supra with 0-60 3.6 seconds over 3.7 seconds and quarter mile 12 sec vs 12.2 sec. Even the Supra is much lighter with only 2 seats, this 2+2 can beat it believing BMW does something to make it better even same engine.
@@touayaaj84 exactly. being 400lbs lighter, Supra is supposed to be much faster than M240i if the engine is the same, but it's even beaten by M240i. Even they are both B58 engine but i also doubt BMW opens a little more power for the M240i. Otherwise, how do you explain it.

you can just unlock the limiter with MHD.

ive seen some posts saying that you can push the new gen b58 to 1300hp with stock internals and a big turbo idk if that's true yet tho
