Great video! I've shied away from soft swimbaits & keep using glide baits, but using a stinger (and seeing how to rig it) has me interested in trying especially in cold water.
Good video Geoff!! Could this be done with 25 lb mono/ fluoro or heavier to avoid bending out that treble hook if they happen to only eat that stinger?
Hi Geoff, super knot. Do you actually know the Quantum Claw Drilling? I've been using it for about 2 years now, no problems except it doesn't hold up that well in super soft plastic.
@@crazybassfisher This is a special treble with clips that hold really well in the plastic. All three flukes can also be caught when mounted. I can absolutely recommend.
You have to replace wire more frequently and I feel there is more flex and forgiveness with the braid but either one works. Also less tools and accessories needed using braid instead of wire. All personal preference of course.
50lb is incredibly strong and it has a much smaller presence on the back of the bait. The size 2 hook can be upgraded but going to a bigger size may cause more snagging for it won’t sit as snug as that smaller hook. That size 2 hook has caught plenty of 8-9lb fish for me and holds up everytime.
@@crazybassfisher Yup. This. A good quality heavy wire size 2 treble is plenty strong enough for any largemouth you’re targeting with these baits (ask me how I know 😉) If you’re able to bend out those hooks, you’re gear is WAY overpowered and doesn’t fit the application. Bigger isn’t always better.
They re 1/2 of that, but If you want to try similar baits, the Savage Gear Pulse tail, 13 fishing, Reaction Strike Bass Harasser, and Hudd make nice soft trout baits also. Those are all between 10 and 30 bucks 8 to 9 inches. Get or make yourself a plug knocker. We're after one bite, the right bite! Trust me, it's addicting. My first Swimbait fish was on a Real Prey forage trout 7.25 inch and was 6 lbs 3 oz. first fish of the year in 2017. I'm so hooked!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Geoff. I come back to this video often.

Why not just get a super strong treble
Very hot technique
Good video, Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Can you give us link for that quad hook please. I try to find them in bass pro shops but no luck.
Do you really need the paperclip?

I’m not familiar with that product, what is it exactly?

So afraid of killing a big bass, do you have any die with this method.
Do you install a new clip every time you catch bass on a stinger?
Yes
SUPER HOT" TIPS MONEY! THANX!
SUPER HOT TIPS, MONEY THANKS.
Why do you need a double line? Why not just tie a single straight line from eye to treble?
Interesting!
Thanks for watching 🤟
good stuff
Thanks for watching 🤙
I like! I like!
Thanks for watching 🤟
So why not the Butch Brown method. The wire seems stronger better than the braid

Braid is pretty fuckin tough, bro. Wire seems like overkill, tbh
@@crazybassfisher fair enough. I respect that and will give it a shot this winter
Nice Fish Chris Wolfgram rig. I use braid double that lb test, 50 is not bulletproof, neither is a size 2 Quad.

Yeah, but you didn't show what to do with the paperclip.
Sometimes I just put a whole damn hot dog on a hook and throw that as hard as I can
Do you whacky rig the weiner? Or Texas rig?
Need to start trying this method, I need to catch a teener
@@crazybassfisher yeah usually don’t even go with a hook just tie that Jon on and 10+ lbs won’t let go
Loosing 180$ lure in the weeds? ....no thanks, looks nice but not worth the risk of loosing it.

Missing the fish of a lifetime cause no stinger, no thanks.
That focus from your camera is giving me a headache
Probably should have changed the settings a bit haha thanks for watching anyways 🙏
Does hawghunters not email you after you buy one ? I cant find there email after I purchased one there baits…?
Did you finally get an email, and more importantly did you get the bait?
@@frankhunt5018 contacted them on insta and turns out they sent my bait to my billing address lol
